ing. As a lesbian couple we wanted to be sure our photographer was comfortable doing a gay wedding, there was no hesitation on her part. Sheena put us at ease, made us feel even more confident that we would select her as our photographer. When we left she gave us a packet that was so detailed, it was wonderful. We immediately knew we found the perfect photographer . . . Fast forward to the week before the wedding, we met with Sheena at our venue to go over the schedule from beginning to end. She held our hands and walked us through the whole day of the wedding, every picture that would be taken, and how she would work with the wedding coordinator and officiant, she basically became the organizer. After that meeting, we were so happy and relieved to have found such a great photographer. On the Wedding Day, Sheena and her assistant arrived and we instantly felt at ease and we knew she had everything under control. One of the best suggestions that she had was the first glance, this made our day even more magical. From the ceremony to the reception to the first dance and everything that followed, Sheena captured the images so beautifully. My wife and I cannot express into words what an exceptional job Sheena did, she made us feel comfortable and at ease taking our pictures all through the day, we didn’t feel stiff and she captured these beautiful moments that showed our joy and love, which will forever be priceless.

- as a detail oriented person this was important to me, (2) her photos are very natural but extremely beautiful, (3) she was HONEST which is crucial for a photographer, and (4) she was just so easy to be yourself around. This last reason turned out to be most important. Sharing your true self as you are with your husband/wife is difficult to do when you have a "stranger" taking pictures of you. But, honestly, we felt like Sheena was a longtime friend. In the few wedding photos she has given is this far for our thank you cards, Sheena's talent really shines through because she was able to capture our essence as a couple. I am a tough critic but she is by far one of our best vendors. If I could go back I would choose her over and over again. And her sister who is her co-captain is absolutely fantastic as well! What a great team.

We did, and it simply confirmed that Sheena was the right one for us. We had so much fun shooting our engagement photos around our town. They turned out better than we could have imagined! was as if we had known her forever. She invited us to her house where she discuss how everything goes. She was actually just moving in to her house and there was boxes everywhere which you know.. it's normal.moving in can be so hectic. But even through all her chaos... she sat with us and nothing else mattered. She was so kind and patient and took her time with us (even though she was extremely busy we never felt rushed). The day of our wedding came, and it was just perfect. Sheena, after taking picture of us (the bride and groom) with our family and friends, took just the two of us away from all the people just to take pic of the two of us. This was so lovely. I got to spend time with my husband and just him. She put some lovely music and took our picture ♡. It was perfect because my husband and I don't like taking picture. . But we loved it that day. a hold of her about 2 1/2 months prior to the wedding. Other photographers we talked with we quite pretentious, and pretty much belittled us for starting so late (hey it's our first wedding, how we're we supposed to know :P ). Sheena on the other hand, was very accommodating and was thrilled document our big day. Sheena definitely puts high importance on having a schedule laid out for the wedding day, which paid off big time for us because she got us through the first look then across town to our ceremony on time (a big plus since the wedding day was so hectic). We met with her twice at her office. Our first meeting was for introductions and getting to know each other, the second meeting was for finalizing our schedule. There was a fair amount of time/email correspondence between each meeting, so planning wasn't rushed. Both meetings she also provided a light snack and some tea. Our last meet up was about a week before the wedding; we spent this time walking through our first look site, our church, and finally our ceremony location. We probably could have asked Sheena for more meetings, but we were pretty confident in her that we'd be ready for our day. On the day of our wedding, Sheena and her assistant were on time at our first look location. They were both dressed appropriately for the event. We hit a minor snag, since the grass was wet that day and my bride didn't want to get dirt or grass stains on her dress. However Sheena took it in stride and found a sidewalk with good lighting for us to use. The first look went well, and we were done and off to the church on time. At the ceremony, Sheena did well to document the ceremony, but yet remain non-intrusive (we've been to weddings where the photographer quite literally stood across from the priest and blocked every guest's view...thankfully our wedding wasn't like that). After the ceremony we managed to get through four separate extended family photo sessions in good time. Prior to making our grand entrance, we did a couple's session in various places throughout our reception location. Since we elected to not do preparation photos, Sheena borrowed our rings and bouquet while we we ate, and got some really good "detail" shots. She did a great job wandering through our reception, getting great candid photos. Sheena is definitely a great photographer to work with. She's got quite a lively personality, and brings lots of ideas not only to planning, but also to our photo sessions. Our first glimpse of our wedding photos came via a slideshow video (complete with soundtrack). The photos so far are beyond our expectations, and we can't wait to see more.

he was so professional and extremely thorough. We had 3 meetings with her, the final being a walk through at the actual ceremony site and reception site. By doing this final meeting Sheena and her staff knew exactly how long the photo session would take at each venue and we never strayed off of our timeline!! You can tell that she loves her craft and always made us feel very comfortable. Everyone loved our engagement photos and a couple of my engaged friends decided to hire her for their weddings too after seeing how ours came out. She surprised us during our reception with a slideshow of the ceremony etc...I can't wait to see our wedding photos!!!
