nd did not move past the trial, for which I paid a down-payment of $100. To be fair, I was not clear about the exact number of people getting their hair and make up done until right before the trial, as my bridal party kept changing their minds. But - I was always clear on what I wanted - a simple bun or pony table and bronze colored natural makeup. There are 3 key reasons why I the relationship did not move forward with Sheika (1) Poor time management. Sheika said she would need 2 to 3 hours for 3 looks during the trial. I told her that I only had 2.5 hours, and she said she could make that work. After 2 hours, Sheika was still on her first hairstyle - she had not started makeup. I had to step in and remind her that makeup had not started, and she then rushed to fit in a makeup look (2) Inability to follow makeup brief. I shared my desired looks with Sheika 2 times via email prior to the trial as well as on the day of the trial. We had also spoken about it on the phone. After realizing we were running out of time, Sheika rushed to do a make up look in about 20 min. The look was nothing like I had asked for. She used dark blue eye shadow all over my eyes when I said I wanted a bronzy, natural look. Because of point 1, she did not have time to do another look. (3) Poor customer service. I expressed to her that I was deeply dissatisfied during the trial . She said she would do another one free of cost. However, she never reached out to reschedule one or to even say sorry. Given points 1 and 2, I had decided to not work with her for the actual wedding. I asked for a partial refund of the trial because she had not accomplished even the 3 promised looks, and she refused. She did not even want to speak to me on the phone about it. I would not recommend working with her in the future.
