Sheila was amazing to work with - our wedding day was a little out of the ordinary, and she rolled with everything we threw at her (including taking photos of our senior cat who decided to be a part of the celebrations). As someone who doesn't love being photographed, she and her partner made me comfortable, and kept things fun and light. She also turned our photos around in less than a month, and they came out phenomenal! We highly recommend Sheila!

When your big day is over and years have passed, you will want photos that will reignite those cherished memories and emotions that you experienced. My goal is to provide this by photographing all the details, smiles, and tears of joy on your wedding day. Operating out of Stockton Springs, ME, Sheila Irene Photography is a visual storyteller passionate about helping couples preserve their cherished memories. Sheila's photography journey began when her daughter was born, and she decided to capture as many precious moments as she could. Since then, she has developed and expanded her knowledge and experience through classes and working with couples. Besides weddings, Sheila also provides photography for milestone moments, such as engagement photoshoots, maternity sessions, newborn photography, and family portraits. Typically a wedding package from Sheila Irene Photography entails between four and eight hours of coverage, an online gallery of high-quality retouched images, and complete copyright and freedom of photography.

ectations. She is also flexible and fun onsite and is able to deal with all of your crazy family (yes, you have a crazy family, too). Low drama and great talent! Sheila's best ability as a photographer is her how she can capture the warmth of your romance with your partner. Her work makes you feel like you are on the cover of a romance novel! If you have an intimate family style wedding she is the perfect choice. She will capture the love you have with a vibrancy and tenderness that makes everything else fall away.

She didn't mention a pre-wedding consultation, never sent a price list for the photobook options(she said she would at least 3 times), and took 2 months to get the photos to us and had to ask for our address before she sent them. The packaging was very nice, an engraved wooden box with an engraved usb stick with a number of pictures, at least the 100 on the contract. What we found were many pictures that could have been taken from a different angle, lots of cell phones in our first dance pictures. Many people would think that a picture that would be taken would be of the groom when his bride comes into view, we did not get it. Our first kiss was the back of her head, a family member got a much better picture. A photographer has the right to go where ever they need to be to get the best pictures, it seemed like Sheila went where it was convenient for her. I believe this is something she does as a hobby, not to be a professional that does everything to capture the big moments.

As far as pre wedding consultation I consider that part of the conversations back and forth, we had several conversations about your wedding beforehand and I answered all questions you’d asked in a timely manner...including the photobook, which while I’ll admit I did forget to forward on to you when requested, but did send it well before your wedding. Additionally, I gave you a photo of your first look at your bride, and nearly three times the amount of photos guaranteed in the contract.

rson. You'll feel like you're being photographed by a friend that cares about making your wedding photos the most beautiful and flattering as possible! In addition to her skill, Sheila was very flexible with her schedule as our wedding ceremony was moved 3 hours earlier than planned in the 2 weeks before our event. She was more familiar with the Camden area than my husband and I were, so she already had some excellent ideas for where the best shots could be taken. With the 4-hour package, Sheila was able to take her time, never rushed us, and ultimately produced some of the best photos of us we've ever seen. Thank you, Sheila, and if you are in the market for a photographer in the mid-coast area of Maine - hire her immediately!!

ots that are too close, off center, and have missing limbs. Our reception photos are all yellow due to poor white balance. She left our reception 90 minutes early without telling anyone and we had to spend 15 minutes looking for her. She was confused about the duration of our event and was very apologetic offering to refund us for that time. While this was a nice gesture, it didn’t make up for the precious moments such as the grandparents dance and bouquet toss that were totally missed. Every time I go to edit the photos I just want to cry. We had a beautiful wedding and the most perfect day with our loved ones but our photos reflect none of that. If I could do one thing differently, it would be to hire a different photographer.

Unfortunately, she did not have our "photo list" the day of and I feel that maybe we missed some pictures we would have liked to have.. but the weather definitely put a damper on some things. Overall Sheila was excellent, and we were blown away by our pictures! I highly recommend her.

Sheila's photos of our engagement shoot, first-look, ceremony, and formal aspects of the reception were beautiful but I was very upset when I received our finished photos. Of 400...

-500 photos, there were maybe 4-5 clear pictures of non-immediate family members and friends. I didn't realize that I had to specifically ask for these photos... also, we had no choice about which photos went into our album as Sheila likes to tell her own story. In general, the photos she picked were good although again, no friends in our album and I definitely would have swapped out some of the ones she chose. I ended up begging friends to send me their photos from the wedding and am working on creating another album so I can actually remember who was at my wedding aside from my husband and the wedding party :( She had also been lovely to communicate with prior to my wedding and at our engagement shoot but multiple family members commented to me that she appeared to be in a bad mood at our wedding, so I don't know if something separate was going on that day.

first reveal, and many of them made me feel like I was a princesses marrying my prince. I love the shots she got of everyone dancing and having fun. Also when I smashed the cake into my husbands face. She made me feel so comfortable when taking the photos, and she was also nice to chat with. I would completely recommend using Sheila to anyone to capture special memories.
