Shelburne Hotel

The Shelburne has a tremendous regular staff. The front desk person, Didi, is warm, welcoming, and helpful. The regular pub bartender and waitress, Ivy, is great at her job and enjoyable to interact with. The rooms are nice, and the grounds and hotel are beautiful, and on a normal day, the pub serves good food and drinks. But as long as the events coordinator is Johanna Gustafson for all of the Adrift properties I would strongly advise against going with them as your venue. She was very poor at communication, unfriendly and unaccommodating. She is all-around incompetent and did not hire enough staff for the day of, was MIA until right before the wedding started, was panicked and had poor delivery, and she advised us against ordering the amount of alcohol and food we initially thought we should have ordered and sure enough we ran out of both, so half of our guests didn't even get to eat. I don't think I can fully explain how disappointing and frustrating it is to have guests coming from all around the country and overseas and not even be able to feed them dinner.
