ed me to meet with her on a video chat to get to know her - and when I asked subsequent potential photographers to do the same, a few actually balked. Shelby was eager to see me, my style, and what I was looking for - all so she could share how her talents might match. That continued as I planned my engagement picture session, which Shelby recommended even though I was hesitant. I am THRILLED that we decided to move forward, both for the experience of working with Shelby before our big day, and for the output of gorgeous photos. Because we had the opportunity to learn Shelby's style early (and she had the chance to see how we interacted!), it led to an absolutely seamless wedding day. I shared a lot of likes and dislikes with Shelby, and she and Katie (her fabulous second shooter!!!) ensured that my vision was captured. A lot of people don't understand that a photographer can make or break your day - other than a potential coordinator, they are "directing" you for 8-12 hours - "stand here, do this, come over here, fix this, etc." My husband actually LOVED this style. Some poses feel weird or unnatural, and Shelby is QUICK with instructions and moving on to the next shot. Her directions are plentiful but not overbearing....and we really enjoyed that. Other ways to describe Shelby are - playful, quirky, focused, fun, supportive, and positive. Of the many compliments I could share about her photos, the following is most prevalent - timeless, beautiful, personal, and fun! I'm so so so pleased and honored to have found and worked with Shelby. I would recommend her time and time again, and I would welcome anyone on the fence to reach out to help me sell them.
