Beautiful space that went above our expectations. It's an amazing open space fitting of the Red Hook neighborhood. We had around 60 guests and the space didn't feel too small or too big. Although we didn't hire any florists or decorators the space was still beautiful and well decorated. Communication was easy and everyone involved was great to work with. The added drink package was amazing and we received nothing but compliments all night. We used Audii their in-house day of coordinator and with her everything went super smooth. Thanks again for such a wonderful and stress-free night!

Shells Loft Fort Greene is a beautiful space that fit our wedding perfectly. The design is immaculate and they have thought and paid attention to every small detail. It was truly our dream venue, and Shell and Mario were great to work with. The larger reception space is perfect and lended itself to our dream reception, the use of the outdoor patio was amazing for the fall wedding, the rooftop was beautiful for our first looks, and the getting ready room was a pleasure to utilize day-of. However, we do have notes about the larger operation that we only want to ensure others know about - particularly with their in-house catering provided by Marlow Events. After signing our contract with Marlow Events we were told that prices will change more than 50% than what we signed for and there was nothing that could be done. This became an impossible situation for us - only when our problem was escalated to the correct person were we able to terminate our catering contract with Marlow. Shell + Shells Loft were helpful in navigating this crisis. We want to ensure that those signing with Shell's are aware about their in-house catering -- though they are not the same company, it is worth knowing! As a venue alone, Shells Loft was our dream and functioned perfectly day-of. We highly recommend the venue isolated from their partnership with Marlow, as the larger operation added a great deal of stress to the planning which is why we have included that information as part of this review.

Shell’s Loft was the perfect backdrop for our 90-person wedding. We were initially drawn to the “blank white box” aspect of the space, but the combination of the atmosphere created with the wide open skylights and windows—along with Shell’s treasure trove of furniture and props that we utilized—made it a home run. The rare feature of the private parking lot made the logistics of the dessert truck a non-issue as well. If you are creatively inclined and willing to think outside of the box (or are able to hire an event planner that is), Shell’s Loft will deliver. Could not recommend it—or the team of folks working behind the scenes—more highly.

Shell's loft for my wedding was a dream come true. Shell and her team were so accommodating and wonderful. I wanted a small intimate wedding and it was exactly that. Everyone that came to my wedding raved about the hall and how beautiful it is. I worked with Poppy's for catering and it was all just so perfect. I would definitely recommend this space for your party!
