For anyone that is looking for a wedding photographer - LOOK NO FURTHER. Right from the start I was impressed by Shelly’s passion for her work, her style, her professionalism, just everything really. It was clear to me how much she enjoys this line of work and trust me it shows in her photos. Before our engagement session and the wedding day, she scouted the area and suggested places in advance of where we should take photos. This especially comes in handy on the wedding day as time flies by and there’s no time to waste. She knew exactly where we were supposed to shoot, how long we needed to be there for, etc. I actually had multiple family members come up to me asking if Shelly was also a wedding coordinator on the side because she was so involved with the logistics. The girl knows what she’s doing! Next I should probably mention the time you wait to get pictures back! I received the engagement pictures within a week and the wedding pictures in under 2 weeks. Keep in mind our engagement shoot was the week before her OWN wedding and she managed to send out our gallery prior to her getting married. I was so pleased with how quickly they were returned but even more pleased with the quality of the photos. Each picture captured our love beautifully. Shelly is so professional and skilled at her craft. She captured all of the shots we hoped for (and beyond!) at both our engagement shot at Red Rocks and our wedding at Blackstone Rivers Ranch. Shelly's personality will put you at ease on your big day. She is super chill but also on top of everything. Communication was impeccable and we received our galleries quickly. The images are beautiful artwork and I'm excited to start printing, framing, and decorating my walls with our gorgeous images.

When we got our gallery back, we were thrilled to see so many of the little moments that we didn't see throughout the day captured so authentically. It felt like reliving it all! She also supported us as we navigated the whole wedding process and helped us craft a timeline that helped us be as present as possible for our absolute best day ever. Could not be more thankful!

Worth every penny! Shelly is meant to be a wedding photographer. The photos we left with from our wedding and engagement session are better than we could have ever imagined. They are natural, beautiful and just capture us so perfectly. She has this amazing way of making you feel so comfortable and letting your love shine through the photos. Outside of being a photographer she will be your hype girl, help your timeline go to plan and wrangle all the people all in the background while you enjoy your day. Booking Shelly as our photographer was the BEST decision we made during our wedding planning process! Not only does Shelly capture unbelievable timeless photos, but she also makes the entire process so seamless. From our several planning calls in the months leading up to our wedding, to her showing up early the morning of the big day to scope out the perfect spots, I couldn't have dreamed of a better photographer. We know Shelly was booked for countless weddings throughout the year, but she still made it seem like we were her only client. She made us feel comfortable and natural in front of the camera and even delivered a ton of photos the day after as a sneak peak (and the entire gallery 2 weeks later!). My family still talks about what a joy Shelly was to be around and we are so thankful we found her. I tell all my friends who are engaged to try and book her for their wedding. We can't wait to work with Shelly again in a few months for our maternity photos!

We reviewed numerous photographers’ websites when searching for our wedding photographer. Shelly’s portfolio always stood out to us. The quality of her photographs and edits stood out against the others. We were very fortunate she was available for our wedding date. The first shoot we did with Shelly was for our engagement photos at Rocky Mountain National Park. She had everything mapped out, from the hiking route to the shooting locations to the time of day. She realizes few people are “experts” at being photographed and makes her shoots very relaxed and fun. She constantly encouraged us to move around while she was shooting, which made our photos look more candid and less stiff. At one point, with 10-20 park visitors watching us, she laid face up on the ground photographing us as we ran toward and over her near the edge of a cliff! It was a hilariously memorable experience, and the resulting pictures were incredible. Let’s not forget that she was PREGNANT during our engagement and her due date was ONE MONTH before our wedding. She was very upfront and open with us about her due date. She wanted to shoot our wedding but was also making arrangements for other incredibly experienced photographers in the event she couldn’t make it. Ultimately she was able to shoot our wedding! We were so happy when she shared the news. Since our wedding was so soon after she gave birth she added a second photographer at no additional cost to help. We also wanted a videographer but we were unsure if our budget would allow one. Shelly found and recommended a videographer (who was also amazing) that fit our budget! The day of the wedding. Her and her second photographer were punctual, social, upbeat and fun. They scouted out our first look and wedding party photos well in advance, but also adjusted shooting locations and positions on the fly based on sun exposure, cloud cover, and wind direction. They checked in on the bride’s and groom’s suites numerous times throughout the day, snapping photos and chatting with us. Shelly did a fantastic job with post-ceremony photos, allowing us to spend more time with our guests during the cocktail hour. She took us out to some rock formations adjacent to the venue during sunset to capture even more incredible photos. If we weren’t already the center of attention, we were as our guests looked up at us traversing giant boulders in our wedding attire. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience than what Shelly provided. Finally, receiving our photos. She was so quick to send back some of her favorites for us to share with our family, friends and social media. We went on our honeymoon immediately after the wedding and certainly didn’t expect photos back before we returned. Within 8 DAYS we received the whole portfolio of photos. We were blown away with how quickly she edited everything (NOTE: I wouldn’t expect this quick a turnaround; we were lucky that we were her first wedding back from giving birth). We sat for hours on our honeymoon scrolling through the 1,500+ amazing photos that captured our wedding day so perfectly. Thank you so much for everything, Shelly. We were so fortunate to have you on our team. Your finished work speaks for itself, but your vibrant attitude and genuine care for your clients is unparalleled. We would recommend you for anyone, anywhere, anytime.

Shelly is an absolute dream to work with! We booked her for our engagement photos and wedding. She took the time to meet with us in person and talk us through each step of the process. When taking our photos she made everything so easy and comfortable for us. She even openly welcomed our labradoodle puppy to be a part of our engagement shoot which are memories we will cherish forever. Leading up to the wedding, she was always available for questions and was super helpful in creating our timeline and family formal shot list. It turns out Shelly was due to be induced to give birth to her baby girl the night of our wedding and she still showed up to shoot part of our wedding day AND had previews sent to us before our wedding night was over (all while preparing to give birth..) I mean do I need to say more?! Beyond all of this, her style, artistry and eye for beautiful photos is unmatched. We had all of our photos back in such a short time and can now enjoy their beauty and memories forever. Look no further, Shelly is the best of the best!

Choosing Shelly was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! Her photography is UNMATCHED. We used her for both our engagement photos and our wedding day and I couldn't be happier with our decision to go with her! She is SO sweet and absolutely amazing at her job. We found Shelly through the Knot -- we reviewed many photographers' portfolios but the movement and character she captures is unmatched! Shelly photographed our wedding in Vail, CO. We immensely appreciated her support prior to the big day (e.g., suggesting a day-of timeline, scouting out photo locations at the venue in advance, taking time to get to know us as a couple -- over Zoom and in-person, etc.) and her patience and direction the day-of (e.g., herding a large bridal party, ensuring we stuck to schedule, taking an exhaustive amount of beautiful photos :), etc.). Our wedding day would not have been the same without her experience, dedication, and talent. We were thrilled with our photos (and how quickly she turned them around!). Thank you, Shelly! My husband and I would definitely recommend hiring Shelly as your wedding photographer. Our timeline the day of turned out to be super stressful, and Shelly did a great job making sure we got all of the photos we wanted within a time crunch. Our family loved how well she managed big group photos as she was ready to go with everyone's names listed. Shelly truly went above and beyond to make sure that even though we had little time, none was wasted and she was extremely professional when doing so. Shelly is amazing!! Not only is she the sweetest person, but she is an incredibly gifted photographer (that is coming from someone very picky about photography, haha) . She did both our engagement photos and wedding photos and I was blown away by her creativity, professionalism, and ability to capture the raw feel of both people and places. Shelly was a joy to work with! My fiancé and I are from NYC and found Shelly online. We decided to do our engagement shoot with Shelly while we were on vacation this past summer in Aspen, CO. We weren’t entirely sure where we wanted to take pictures/what would be the best time of day in various spots, but Shelly was extremely knowledgeable! She knew exactly where to go and when for the best shots. She even met us the night before for drinks and to run through the schedule for the next day. Shelly is amazing! She photographed a friend’s wedding and the photos were so beautiful, the first thing I knew about our wedding when we got engaged was that we needed her to photograph ours. She was so flexible as our plans changed multiple times due to COVID, and helped us come up with a wedding day timeline to help things run smoothly. On our wedding day the forecast was for rain, and she was so sweet to offer to stay in the area for an extra night and take photos of us outside the next morning when the forecast was for sun! The rain ended up stopping an hour before our ceremony and she took the most BEAUTIFUL photos outside, kept everything light and fun and low-stress. We had such a blast working with her and pretty much laughed the entire time. She captured the intimacy and beauty of our entire wedding day perfectly and I couldn’t be happier with the whole experience. Would 100% recommend!

Shelly is an amazing photographer and human! She was the best vendor we hired for our wedding. Not only was her work stunning but she really took the time to scout out the best places to photograph our special day. When COVID threw a wrench in all of our wedding plans she went above and beyond to help us create a Plan B that was still as beautiful as Plan A. On our wedding day she was punctual and even saved the day when our phones died. We exchanged probably hundreds of emails (not exaggerating) leading up to our wedding day and the communication was always on point. My husband and I were amazed with how quickly we received our wedding photos back. I would hire her all over again.

Shelly was great from the start- very professional and kind. She took one of my guest photo ideas and ran with it- and the photos turned out incredible,it was a huge hit. What I appreciated most was that on our wedding day she made us feel so comfortable and natural during our first look photos, we didn’t feel like we were posing once and I feel the photos truly reflect that. I basically booked Shelly before I was even engaged. (I mean I knew it was coming and I needed to make sure I had the best photographer on lock =) ) She did a couple of my friends' weddings so I had seen how great her photos are and she definitely delivered for our wedding! She traveled all the way to Ohio, booked a top notch second shooter and didn't let the terrible weather we had stop her from getting SO many great, creative shots. Shelly is so easy going and really fun to work with, she made me feel very at ease in front of the camera and the way she directed us to move made the pictures look more natural. You read that correctly: 3 DAYS!! I couldn't believe how fast she got them to us. The photos were breathtaking!! I honestly cried looking at them all. Our family and friends kept mentioning how they looked like they were from a magazine! All the credit goes to Shelly! She knew exactly how to direct us so we looked natural, even though we had no idea what to do in front of the camera. We cannot recommend Shelly enough! So if you're hesitant about contacting or booking a photographer, this is your sign that you need to book with Shelly! You will not be disappointed!

We absolutely loved working with Shelly!!! She was able to get us to relax and just be ourselves while she was shooting our engagement photos and our wedding. We felt totally comfortable in front of her camera, and following her instructions to get natural looking shots. Shelly made sure to scout the wedding venue and surrounding location before the event so she knew where the best spots to do the first look and group pictures. On the wedding day, she came into my chaotic bridal suite and got right to work with the details, then got all the girls on track so we finished our pictures in plenty of time and we weren’t rushed for the ceremony. Also, she got our photos back to us really quickly and we are so happy with how they turned out! I do not consider myself photogenic, and I am usually very nervous to see pictures of myself, but am in love with our wedding photos! Lastly, Shelly’s pricing is very reasonable, especially considering her artistry and the individual attention she gives to your shoot and preparing your photos.

Shelly shot my rehearsal dinner and wedding in December 2018. I would recommend her 100% to anyone! Her work is BEAUTIFUL - I look at our pictures nearly every day and they make me so happy. Aside from the photos themselves, a couple things set Shelly apart as a top wedding vendor: 1) Easy to work with- I had so much on my mind during the wedding weekend so I let Shelly do her thing without giving direction and she totally nailed it. We didn't have a second shooter, but Shelly worked so hard and captured a million different angles. I don't know how she did it! 2) Turnaround time - she sent us our photos within two weeks, while we were still on our honeymoon. It was the best treat ever to pour through her photos while laying by the pool! 3) Attention to detail - Shelly scouted our venues for spots with good light and backdrops. The pictures reflect her talent and eye. I can't say enough how impressed I was. If you can, work with Shelly!!

Shelly is simply the BEST. Leo and I can't describe how grateful we are to have found her for our engagement & wedding photoshoot. Her work is absolutely amazing - perfect composition, beautiful colors and romantic feels. She truly captures the best moments. She listened to what we had in mind and truly exceeded our expectations on delivering what we've dreamt of. More importantly, she is really a GREAT PERSON to work with. She is easy to talk to, organized, professional, and so friendly that we felt really comfortable with showing our true selves when standing in front of her camera! (Really, it was my very first professional photo shoot in my life, and I didn't even look like a novice model in any of her photos)

Shelly made our dreams come true. Looking through her portfolio before I booked her, I thought there was no way our pictures would look as beautiful as all those other couples' pictures did. We'd never had professional pictures taken before- how could we look like THAT?! But our pictures, both engagement and wedding, totally exceeded our expectations. I still get teary-eyed when I look at them. Shelly was so easy to work with and was totally organized. We have several guests who are already planning on booking her for their own weddings!

Shelly is an absolute dream! From day one, she was a delight to work with, responding to emails promptly and always with a friendly attitude. My husband and I are pretty camera shy, but Shelly made us completely comfortable while shooting, something our engagement photographer tried, but failed to do. She was smiling, joking and kept us moving - everything felt so natural and not at all awkward as we had feared. Nearly everyone in our bridal party made similar comments, noting how sweet and easygoing the photographer was and how comfortable they felt. You can see it in the pictures. Even if Shelly was a nightmare to work with (and she couldn't be further from it!!!!), we still would have hired her for her pictures. Her work is GORGEOUS and we couldn't be more in love with our wedding pictures! And its not just us - everyone we show the pictures to comments on just how incredibly they are. We didn't use a videographer and we didn't need to with Shelly - her gallery offered so many options of every single moment that scrolling through felt like watching a video of the day (and I should mention that we were able to see them all only 13 days after the wedding!). Shelly is a true artist who does more than just capture the people - she captures the moment and the feeling and if you look at the work of other photographers, you'll see that this is something only a few can do. Her work is just at another level and I couldn't possibly recommend her enough!

Wow, where do I even begin? I can't speak more highly of Shelly. From day one she was professional, sweet, understanding, easy, fun, and made both my husband and I feel the most comfortable. To back track, choosing a photographer felt like the hardest thing until both my wedding planner and I stumbled upon Shelly's Instagram and immediately fell in love. We both found her and sent an email to each other and it felt like fate. I was struggling with finding someone with the style I wanted who had a proper business and professionalism with that. I was nervous to just find someone on Instagram who no one I knew had worked with but once I talked to Shelly on the phone, she embodied all of that and more. I was ecstatic. She went out of her way to help us find the perfect engagement shoot locations and even stayed longer to make sure we got those epic shots on the mountain before the storm came through! A big part for me was making sure my husband was comfortable and he absolutely loved Shelly. Once he told me that, I knew we had made the right decision. We had SO much fun on our engagement shoot together that we knew we could trust her even more with our wedding day. For our wedding she came early and scouted locations which I thought was so awesome because she was going out of her way to make sure the lighting and locations were prepared so we weren't rushing around on the day of. Her second photographer was spot on with her style and professionalism. Shelly was invested in us and that is something unique and special. She also stuck to schedule and was so organized! Everyone was just so amazed and pleased with her I got so many compliments! You hear horror stories of photographers being so rude and rushing through things and that is not anything you have to worry about with Shelly! She is the opposite! She again made it so fun and I trusted her which was big for me. The photos turned out absolutely amazing! I couldn't preach more about the value of a photographer like Shelly and how much the time and money was worth it. She captured our day perfectly. I have too many good photos it's overwhelming which is a good thing =] Everyone says, OMG, I thought that was a magazine cover, or WOW you guys look like models. She captures moments and emotion perfectly and her editing is just gorgeous. So in the end, I can't express enough how much I appreciated having Shelly as a part of our journey and how grateful we are for her dedication to making sure our day went smooth and that the photos turned out just as we had wanted. She will forever be our family photographer for all important parts of our life! She is truly is one of the best and I can't wait until we can do another shoot with her again. Shelly was simply amazing. She shot our engagement session in Page, AZ at Antelope Canyon & Horseshoe Bend then came to New Orleans to shoot our wedding. For our engagement she was so accommodating and very punctual with her emails throughout the process to plan everything. It made everything so easy the day of the shoot because everything was so planned out. The photos came out beautiful and she was super sweet even though the shoot went a bit over what I'd imagine is her normal shooting time for an engagement. As for the wedding, different day same results. Shelly & her second shooter Jamie showed up ready to shoot earlier than expected, captured amazing photos for the prep, ceremony, & reception, and delivered them in impressive time (I believe 2.5 weeks). Considering the number of images she delivered that's unreal. Everyone in our wedding party not only told me how nice our photos came out, but how nice Shelly was to work with. I seriously cannot wait to work with her again. I'm making excuses to fly to Southern Cali to shoot with her again haha. Thanks again Shelly. When researching photographers for our wedding, we were looking for someone who clearly knew how to “capturing the moment.” After endlessly scrolling through local photographer’s sites and not finding what I was looking for, my now husband suggested I checked out one of his high-school friend’s work who traveled for weddings, and I immediately was hooked! It was exactly what we were we looking for! Deciding on Shelly was an easy decision for many reasons, but she exceeded expectations on all fronts on the big day. She was creative – she spent a lot of time scouting out the spots she was going to shoot us which turned out beautifully. Also, she was easy to work with, made us feel extremely comfortable in front of the camera, made us laugh and focused on capturing those special moments. Our photos are nothing short of amazing..she delivered above and beyond what we expected. You really cannot go wrong here – especially if you’re looking for someone who has a keen talent for beautifully capturing every special moment. Keith and I could not have asked for a better photographer to capture our special wedding weekend in Grand Cayman! Our experience working with Shelly was nothing less than perfect. She made us feel very comfortable from the start and is so incredibly talented at controlling the shoot to ensure every angle is captured. Shelly not only commemorated our family/friends throughout the weekend, but she truly went above and beyond to make sure our wedding weekend went on without a hitch. We had a small wedding which was planned remotely with minimal help - so Shelly's keen eye and attention to detail saved us from a number of mistakes. From making sure the ceremony took place at the correct location on the beach, to the timing and transportation to and from the first-look. She thought through every detail and made great suggestions to make sure everything would be captured the way we wanted.
