Shelly Anderson Photography

end for any occasion.

s and captures these moments. We found Shelly through her website and blog when looking for locations in Colorado to elope. She has tons of experience working all over the area. When we reached out she listened to our goals and saw our vision. Throughout the process she was professional, organized, and kind. On the big day she was on time and even helped our other vendors get to the location on time. She was a trooper, dealing with all the elements (wind, rain) and hiking through mountains (and horse poop) to capture once-in-a-lifetime moments. Check out her website for evidence of her talent. We highly recommend Shelly…if you want to best!

everything really. It was clear to me how much she enjoys this line of work and trust me it shows in her photos. Before our engagement session and the wedding day, she scouted the area and suggested places in advance of where we should take photos. This especially comes in handy on the wedding day as time flies by and there’s no time to waste. She knew exactly where we were supposed to shoot, how long we needed to be there for, etc. I actually had multiple family members come up to me asking if Shelly was also a wedding coordinator on the side because she was so involved with the logistics. The girl knows what she’s doing! Next I should probably mention the time you wait to get pictures back! I received the engagement pictures within a week and the wedding pictures in under 2 weeks. Keep in mind our engagement shoot was the week before her OWN wedding and she managed to send out our gallery prior to her getting married. I was so pleased with how quickly they were returned but even more pleased with the quality of the photos. Each picture captured our love beautifully. From the bottom of our hearts - thank you Shelly! But even thank you doesn’t quite cut it. Best wedding photographer ever! K + B

atest trends and delivered the most stunning wedding photos for us! I would highly recommend Shelly to anyone who wants a passionate photographer and one who delivers a wide variety of stunning photos. She's also just a pleasure to be around!

Rivers Ranch. Shelly's personality will put you at ease on your big day. She is super chill but also on top of everything. Communication was impeccable and we received our galleries quickly. The images are beautiful artwork and I'm excited to start printing, framing, and decorating my walls with our gorgeous images.

le moments that we didn't see throughout the day captured so authentically. It felt like reliving it all! She also supported us as we navigated the whole wedding process and helped us craft a timeline that helped us be as present as possible for our absolute best day ever. Could not be more thankful!

re natural, beautiful and just capture us so perfectly. She has this amazing way of making you feel so comfortable and letting your love shine through the photos. Outside of being a photographer she will be your hype girl, help your timeline go to plan and wrangle all the people all in the background while you enjoy your day. Our favorite vendor we hired and would highly recommend!

the entire process so seamless. From our several planning calls in the months leading up to our wedding, to her showing up early the morning of the big day to scope out the perfect spots, I couldn't have dreamed of a better photographer. We know Shelly was booked for countless weddings throughout the year, but she still made it seem like we were her only client. She made us feel comfortable and natural in front of the camera and even delivered a ton of photos the day after as a sneak peak (and the entire gallery 2 weeks later!). My family still talks about what a joy Shelly was to be around and we are so thankful we found her. I tell all my friends who are engaged to try and book her for their wedding. We can't wait to work with Shelly again in a few months for our maternity photos!

out against the others. We were very fortunate she was available for our wedding date. The first shoot we did with Shelly was for our engagement photos at Rocky Mountain National Park. She had everything mapped out, from the hiking route to the shooting locations to the time of day. She realizes few people are “experts” at being photographed and makes her shoots very relaxed and fun. She constantly encouraged us to move around while she was shooting, which made our photos look more candid and less stiff. At one point, with 10-20 park visitors watching us, she laid face up on the ground photographing us as we ran toward and over her near the edge of a cliff! It was a hilariously memorable experience, and the resulting pictures were incredible. Let’s not forget that she was PREGNANT during our engagement and her due date was ONE MONTH before our wedding. She was very upfront and open with us about her due date. She wanted to shoot our wedding but was also making arrangements for other incredibly experienced photographers in the event she couldn’t make it. Ultimately she was able to shoot our wedding! We were so happy when she shared the news. Since our wedding was so soon after she gave birth she added a second photographer at no additional cost to help. We also wanted a videographer but we were unsure if our budget would allow one. Shelly found and recommended a videographer (who was also amazing) that fit our budget! The day of the wedding. Her and her second photographer were punctual, social, upbeat and fun. They scouted out our first look and wedding party photos well in advance, but also adjusted shooting locations and positions on the fly based on sun exposure, cloud cover, and wind direction. They checked in on the bride’s and groom’s suites numerous times throughout the day, snapping photos and chatting with us. Shelly did a fantastic job with post-ceremony photos, allowing us to spend more time with our guests during the cocktail hour. She took us out to some rock formations adjacent to the venue during sunset to capture even more incredible photos. If we weren’t already the center of attention, we were as our guests looked up at us traversing giant boulders in our wedding attire. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience than what Shelly provided. Finally, receiving our photos. She was so quick to send back some of her favorites for us to share with our family, friends and social media. We went on our honeymoon immediately after the wedding and certainly didn’t expect photos back before we returned. Within 8 DAYS we received the whole portfolio of photos. We were blown away with how quickly she edited everything (NOTE: I wouldn’t expect this quick a turnaround; we were lucky that we were her first wedding back from giving birth). We sat for hours on our honeymoon scrolling through the 1,500+ amazing photos that captured our wedding day so perfectly. Thank you so much for everything, Shelly. We were so fortunate to have you on our team. Your finished work speaks for itself, but your vibrant attitude and genuine care for your clients is unparalleled. We would recommend you for anyone, anywhere, anytime.

ess. When taking our photos she made everything so easy and comfortable for us. She even openly welcomed our labradoodle puppy to be a part of our engagement shoot which are memories we will cherish forever. Leading up to the wedding, she was always available for questions and was super helpful in creating our timeline and family formal shot list. It turns out Shelly was due to be induced to give birth to her baby girl the night of our wedding and she still showed up to shoot part of our wedding day AND had previews sent to us before our wedding night was over (all while preparing to give birth..) I mean do I need to say more?! Beyond all of this, her style, artistry and eye for beautiful photos is unmatched. We had all of our photos back in such a short time and can now enjoy their beauty and memories forever. Look no further, Shelly is the best of the best!

e happier with our decision to go with her! She is SO sweet and absolutely amazing at her job. You don't even have to think about how to pose or what to do as she handles all of it seamlessly. She captured everything and more that we could have imagined with her pictures. We get emotional every time we look through them as we can truly feel the love, excitement and all of the emotions of the day. Not to mention, the pictures literally look like they could be in a magazine - I'm obsessed!! Could not recommend Shelly more for your wedding - but make sure to book in advance as she fills up quickly!

. We immensely appreciated her support prior to the big day (e.g., suggesting a day-of timeline, scouting out photo locations at the venue in advance, taking time to get to know us as a couple -- over Zoom and in-person, etc.) and her patience and direction the day-of (e.g., herding a large bridal party, ensuring we stuck to schedule, taking an exhaustive amount of beautiful photos :), etc.). Our wedding day would not have been the same without her experience, dedication, and talent. We were thrilled with our photos (and how quickly she turned them around!). Thank you, Shelly! We highly, highly recommend!

sure we got all of the photos we wanted within a time crunch. Our family loved how well she managed big group photos as she was ready to go with everyone's names listed. Shelly truly went above and beyond to make sure that even though we had little time, none was wasted and she was extremely professional when doing so. Not only was Shelly an asset to have on our wedding day given our timeline, but she also delivered our photos much earlier than expected and even gave us sneak peaks the day after (right before we went on our honeymoon). I knew we had to choose Shelly as our wedding photographer from her beautiful work that felt documentary like and timeless. We are very happy with our photos and hope to work with her in the future.

ng. She is truly a joy to work with. She made taking pictures a fun and natural experience. In addition to her amazing photography skills, she was able to guide and get the inner model out of everyone. Her beautiful pictures put our most special day forever in our memories and we are so grateful!

s but Shelly made both our engagement shoot and the 'big-day' calm, effortless and FUN. She made us feel completely comfortable in an "alien" setting and also made us look way cooler and sexier than we ever imagined we could be! It was so important for us to have pictures that last forever and that captured the true spirit of the day - and Shelly did that and BEYOND. She caught us in all our glory even when it was silly and ridiculous. Also, every guest that interacted with her gushed about how sweet and kind she was. She's an artist with a kind heart who is professional and efficient and will help make this process as easy or as involved as you want. Photos are expensive, but they will last forever and when the money is going to a good human - that is an added bonus! Love you Shelly - hope to have you capture all the big parts of Jordan and I's lives together xo.

nd timeless, but she works diligently to capture every moment that she can and perfect it in the process. She makes you feel incredibly comfortable with a camera pointing at you especially if you are like my husband and I and have no idea what to do with your hands! We received our photo package back within 5 days of our wedding and I am not exaggerating when I say that of the 1000 or so photos she sent us, every single one is breathtaking. I cannot recommend Shelly enough! To anyone who is looking for someone to truly embody your day, there is no one better than Shelly!

beautiful and artistic; we are so pleased with everything. Shelly also sent us our finished gallery in only 2 weeks! We highly recommend her.

t, she is amazing at making us feel relaxed and confident. Shelly is also extremely hard working and finished our photos much faster than expected, while still showing incredible attention to detail. Her pictures tell a story and make us relive our most precious moments. We used Shelly for our Engagement, Elopement, and Wedding, and there is no other photographer we’d rather work with.

sets her apart. She made the entire experience extremely comfortable, worked with us on our plans for the day, and helped make it a day to remember. We're NOT used to being in front of camera and her ability to create a fun experience had us feeling (and looking) like rockstars. BOOK HER NOW.

eason for that -- her artistry, professionalism, organization, and kind bubbly personality are unmatched. My husband and I are fairly awkward in front of the camera, but not with Shelly! She guided us through every step, and knows how to work every angle, and is a lighting-queen. Most importantly for us, she knows how to manage large wedding parties and families to make sure all photos you want and need happen so seamlessly and efficiently. She has also quickly become a FAVORITE amongst all of the Denver wedding vendors, so no doubt your other vendors will be so excited to hear Shelly is your photographer. Truly, we could write a whole essay about how incredible Shelly is. Thank you Shelly for capturing our engagement & wedding in a way we never imaged! We <3 you.

h our engagement photos and wedding photos and I was blown away by her creativity, professionalism, and ability to capture the raw feel of both people and places. I could not recommend her more-she was a joy to work with!

made us feel so comfortable and was incredibly fun/easy to work with (my husband does not like taking photos and even he had the best time!) She also took our engagement pictures a couple years ago and found the coolest locations off Guanella Pass for us. We couldn’t recommend Shelly more!

chestrating our day, making sure everything ran as planned (which she helped plan!). Shelly also offered suggestions for all of our photos, made us feel so comfortable getting our picture taken, and we are so happy with the results! I felt like one of my good friends was taking our picture all day. We honestly couldn't have done it without her and we LOVE our photos! 11 out of 10 recommend!

dding photos capturing all our special moments. I chose her off instagram because I loved her ability to capture the landscape and the couple's chemistry simultaneously. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for the greatest wedding photographer there is!

Aspen, CO. We weren’t entirely sure where we wanted to take pictures/what would be the best time of day in various spots, but Shelly was extremely knowledgeable! She knew exactly where to go and when for the best shots. She even met us the night before for drinks and to run through the schedule for the next day. It was just like hanging with a friend and it was super nice! Additionally, Shelly made us feel so comfortable during the shoot and was excellent at giving us directions! We absolutely loved how everything turned out and would definitely use Shelly again for shoots in the future!

been having a hard time choosing a location for our shoot so she gave a suggestion and I’m so glad we went with it because it was everything I wanted. The photos turned out so good, I couldn’t be happier. High recommend working with Shelly!

photos, and it was one of the best decisions I have made! Shelly has the ability to capture those special moments throughout the day without you even noticing. She is so easy to chat with and get to know - it makes everything very relaxed and comfortable. Look no further - if you want the perfect photos, Shelly is your go to!

hter... tears and beautiful priceless moments. She has a lot of experience in what she does and it showed in our pictures. We are so happy with the way they turned out! If you choose Shelly you will not be disappointed. She also was very good at communicating and did her homework on our location! We thought she was super sweet/kind and made us feel very relaxed and comfortable the whole time. Best wedding photographer hands down! ❤️

f vibe we wanted for our wedding day. Highly recommend!!!

Our wedding guests too were blown away at her photography and can't stop sharing her photos. Shelly was so easy to communicate with, especially after multiple event changes due to COVID and she did an amazing job orchestrating the bridal party and guests to capture all of the photos we wanted and much, much more. We couldn't recommend Shelly more, she is incredibly talented and a joy to work with. Now back to drooling over our wedding photos from her! Thanks again, we adore you!!

ure our photos would be amazing. Our photos are gorgeous and we could not be happier with them!

planning your wedding. If you’re looking for someone who is going to support you during the entire planning process (respond to you very promptly!!) and on the day of your wedding, capture jaw dropping photos, understand you, make you comfortable in front of the camera, and bring out the best of everyone in attendance at your wedding, then Shelly is the photographer for you. The first time we met she instantly felt like a friend I had known for a long time. She is wonderful, always laughing, and made the day of our wedding relaxed and made us feel at ease. Shelly was great in assisting with a “day of” schedule as I didn’t hire a wedding planner, her advise was perfect. She truly listened to what was important to us and she perfectly captured all of those special moments and more. The day prior to our wedding we had an avalanche and road closures - she did all of her communication with my MOH and I never once felt any stress about what was to come the day of the wedding. She showed up early with a big smile, snow boots on, and eager to get out and take gorgeous photographs in the snow. We will definitely use Shelly again for all of our future photography needs. Thank you for everything! XO

ur getting ready, first look, ceremony, portraits, and dinner photos perfectly with the sun and weather! Her guidance was super important and helpful for getting the most out of our beautiful and remote location. She made us feel comfortable, light, and beautiful. We are just blown away by her attention to detail and her ability to capture all of our beautiful and meaningful moments. These moments of our day will forever be a part of our wedding day and for that we are so grateful!

seamless schedule for the day and was flexible when our dinner ran behind. Our pictures are incomparable. Shelly's work is artistic and very classy. She knows how to use natural light which made us look beautiful. We will use her again for family photos and would recommend her for anyone's wedding. She is absolutely the best.

d. Not only was she gracious, accommodating, flexible and swift in person leading up to and during the ceremony and reception, she edited our photos in record time - we had them by the time we got back from our honeymoon! And she even sent us edited teasers the morning after the wedding! We could not be happier with the photos and are extremely impressed. We already have and will continue to recommend Shelly to any and all couples (or individuals) who need a top-notch, professional photographer for any intimate event. Her professionalism is off the charts and it shows in the product. The whole family is in awe of the quality - especially the way she was able to capture the feeling and emotion in the moment during the ceremony and reception. Looking through the photos truly gives a beautiful sense of what everyone was feeling in that moment. We are so thrilled by Shelly's work. She deserves #1 in any and all categories for skill and professionalism. Just look at the pictures and you will see for yourself! Thanks Shelly!!

tograph ours. She was so flexible as our plans changed multiple times due to COVID, and helped us come up with a wedding day timeline to help things run smoothly. On our wedding day the forecast was for rain, and she was so sweet to offer to stay in the area for an extra night and take photos of us outside the next morning when the forecast was for sun! The rain ended up stopping an hour before our ceremony and she took the most BEAUTIFUL photos outside, kept everything light and fun and low-stress. We had such a blast working with her and pretty much laughed the entire time. She captured the intimacy and beauty of our entire wedding day perfectly and I couldn’t be happier with the whole experience. Would 100% recommend!

, thanks to Shelly scouting epic locations and encouraging us to feel free and at ease. She gave clear, detailed direction to help create the perfect images, yet made us feel natural and comfortable all the while. We cannot recommend Shelly enough!

ces to photograph our special day. When COVID threw a wrench in all of our wedding plans she went above and beyond to help us create a Plan B that was still as beautiful as Plan A. On our wedding day she was punctual and even saved the day when our phones died. We exchanged probably hundreds of emails (not exaggerating) leading up to our wedding day and the communication was always on point. My husband and I were amazed with how quickly we received our wedding photos back. I would hire her all over again.

meless and artistic. Simply stunning. We couldn't be happier. On top of that, Shelly was so easy to work with. We met for the first time on my wedding day and it was completely seamless. She just did her thing and we hardly noticed she was there. She was professional, kind, and easy-going. Highly recommend her!

exceeded our high expectations! My husband was very impressed with how comfortable he felt posing for our engagement photos and we knew right away she was the one to hire for our wedding! On wedding day, Shelly was tirelessly hardworking, but graceful and smiling the whole time. We received an incredible variety of photos and can easily share them with family and friends. We are so thankful for Shelly!

your ideas and goals. She is accommodating and patient with each detail. And she’s just downright a sweetheart through the whole process. Shelly was kind enough to be our wedding photographer on short notice after having to change venue locations. In my own chaos of making things work I never had to worry about Shelly. She was always one step ahead and completely dependable. As for our wedding photographs, they are beyond words and greater than anything I had imagined. The warmth she captures allows you to relive each moment exactly the way you had felt it every time. I will always say it was our honor to have Shelly as our wedding photographer. And we look forward to having her capture every future milestone from here on out.

onal, detail oriented, personable, passionate about her photography. We were so lucky to have had Shelly as a part of our team + I would HIGHLY recommend Shelly to any future couples! Her work speaks for itself, and we are beyond grateful for the special moments she captured for us that we will cherish for a lifetime!

nd I used Shelly for our engagement photoshoot and wedding day, and we honestly couldn't have chosen anyone better. Shelly's photos are BEAUTIFUL; the colors, the lighting, the attention to detail, the angles, and the thought she puts into each one of them, are all truly remarkable. Added bonus: Shelly's personality is absolutely wonderful. These photos are extremely personal, and especially with engagement photos, they can awkward. Shelly has a knack for making photo sessions fun and is great at helping you loosen up and enjoy yourself. Shelly is the best, if you're thinking about hiring her, DO IT. I will be giving her name to everyone! If you hire Shelly, you'll meet someone who will give you the most beautiful photographs of you and your spouse you have ever seen. You will meet someone who you want to call a friend. You will meet someone you will vow to call for another photo session when you have babies! We loved Shelly and her stunning work and we are sure you will too!!

preciated most was that on our wedding day she made us feel so comfortable and natural during our first look photos, we didn’t feel like we were posing once and I feel the photos truly reflect that. She did a wonderful job scouting great photo locations at our venue, kept it so easy for us and is truly an excellent photographer. I highly recommend!
