Her turn around time was incredibly fast, we had friends who were married months before us that still didn't have their photos by the time we did. My family and friends still talk about how good of a job she did every time they see us. Highly recommend for any and all couples, we will definitely be calling her again for future family photos :)

Shelly’s professionalism combined with her hilarious sense of humor and relaxed demeanor was exactly what I needed on my wedding day, and I’d argue she sets the bar very high for wedding photographers. She was able to seamlessly capture every special moment that day, yet the overall mood was so laidback, joyful and fun. When I first met with Shelly three things popped into my head- She really listened to what I wanted, her passion comes through in her work, and I wanted to be her friend. I knew I could trust her to capture not only the day’s events, but the love Matt and I have for one another and this great city. Our pictures are filled with head tilts, smirks, skyscrapers, and moments I will never forget because Shelly captured them. I can honestly say I am able to relive the day thanks to Shelly, and the emotions I feel with every flip of our pictures can attest to that. So, yes I’d recommend anyone to work with Shelly. Invest in her because she will invest in you tenfold. She will take your 9pm phone call 3 days before your wedding because you are freaking out about your first look location, or help you plan your engagement route to ensure that she captures your two greatest loves (Chicago & your future husband) because she will take the time to listen to how important it is to you. There is a lot of talent out there, but trust me when I say on this special day you want a photographer who will be there just for you. Someone who is just as anxious and excited as you are to be married. You want someone like Shelly.

er photography style is really beautiful! We didn't do an engagement shoot but Shelly made us feel really comfortable right away. She also totally went with the flow with our large and somewhat rowdy bridal party, and got some really great pictures. Beyond just photography, she was so helpful with the coordination of the day and getting us down the aisle. I would 100% recommend her to anyone, she was fantastic!

During our pre-wedding meetings she really tried to get a sense of who we are as a couple, and then took that information into our wedding day. We felt so comfortable around her and from what we've seen so far, she produced some amazing shots that captured who we are and how we felt that day. She gave great direction and helped both of us feel confident. She was able to get in the moment without getting in the way of the ceremony or events as a courtesy to our guests. She is truly a fantastic photographer!
