We had our wedding reception at this hotel in March 2011. Overall, I felt that the experience was whelming (not underwhelming, not overwhelming). Food was decent, venue was nice,... and people had a great time. But these were the downsides:
We dealt with three different 'wedding specialists' (the first left for another job, the second stopped all communication and the last was good but at that point I was a little frustrated). While I didn't expect my hand to be held, I did expect a level of organization (like calling to make sure that there was enough room in the hotel the weekend of the wedding, helping block those rooms, etc) that were, overall, not met. Dessert service was botched (I had asked for half the tables to get one kind of cake, the other half to get another kind), my cake topper and personal serving utensils were never returned, we were supposed to be asked at 9pm whether we wanted to allow guests to order premium drinks (did not happen) and I'm pretty sure the bartenders were serving people that weren't part of the wedding.
For the amount of money one drops to put on a wedding, I was expecting better service. More than a year out from the event, I'm still a bit sad that the wedding topper that I spent hours making is missing.
