Sheraton Hartford South Hotel

We got married at the Sheraton Hartford South in June 2015 and we were thoroughly pleased with venue. We searched for an all-inclusive venue – something that provided hotel rooms, reception space, ceremony space, and catering under one roof – one that would be easily accessible from all modes of transportation (so easy from the airport, easy from the train, easy for folks who drive in); in addition, we wanted to make a weekend out of the wedding because we had so many people coming from all over the US. After searching, The Sheraton Hartford South was our choice. We held our rehearsal dinner, ceremony, reception, and Sunday brunch all at the hotel. The hotel is contemporary, clean, and provides guests with modern amenities in the hotel room and throughout the hotel’s grounds (indoor pool, great gym, wonderful concierge lounge, beautiful lobby area, great wifi access, and full service lobby bar with great tables for group or individual work/meeting spaces). Our guests were thrilled and they were able to relax the entire stay. We held our ceremony in the courtyard and it was beautiful; what my partner and I appreciated most was that the hotel held a ballroom as a rain location/plan B (this eased our stress regarding the weather). The reception was held in one of the ballrooms – everything was perfect (down to napkins and chair sashes). Both the rehearsal dinner and Sunday brunch were also perfect – we have no complaints and, in fact, we heard several of our guests say they wished they had such a venue near them (or some who said that they might return for their big day). The coordinators, Katie Gonzalez and Patrick Keenan, are fantastic – they help couples lay out each part of their day and they are incredibly generous with their time to answer questions, to meet, etc. They are incredibly fair and they worked with our preferences – if something did not go as planned, they were on it to be sure that the problem was corrected or that we were compensated. Not only did they begin working with us from day one (for approximately a year!), but they were present and available for nearly the entire wedding weekend – they made sure everything moved smoothly. After searching other all-inclusive wedding venues, the price was reasonable and the service from the coordinators, to the service staff, to housekeeping, etc. – was stellar. Not only was the service stellar, the food was outstanding – at every event, for every course – all of our guests loved the food. We had a lovely tasting and all of the food was just as good at the event as it was when we tasted it. Overall, we would highly recommend the Sheraton Hartford South for anyone looking for an all-inclusive venue.
