This review is LOOONG overdue, but I always kept it on my eventual to-do list because Sheyanne is INCREDIBLE. She is extremely kind-hearted, welcoming, and (obviously) TALENTED!!! I was a bit nervous because we were planning a wedding in Hawaii from California, but from the first initial phone call with Sheyanne I knew she was the one. Her art speaks for itself, but her mix of professionalism and warmth sparked the connection for my now husband and I. She is truly a wonderful human being. Her pre-wedding checklist helped to bring our wedding vision to life due to Sheyanne's remarkable eye for photography. I told her to experiment and to feel free to try out new unique shots with us and gooooodness, did she deliver. We loved working with Sheyanne for our wedding! She has a really great eye for what will make beautiful shots, and in addition to getting all of the family and wedding party photos that we requested it was amazing to be able to follow her lead and get really stunning photos. We feel really lucky that we were able to book her before her spaces for the year were all taken (which happens fast because she is amazing)! We met Sheyanne for the first time on our wedding day and immediately she made us super comfortable as she was so kind and an absolute pleasure to be around. The second shooter she brought as well was also a delight to work with! Logistically, Sheyanne also made things extremely simple. Her online portal is super easy to use and she is very responsible to any questions and requests. And last, because she is truly talented and a total professional, of course our photos completely matched (and exceeded) what we expected in terms of quality and her editing style. We initially found Sheyanne after searching for weeks on Instagram. After meeting with her, we booked her for both our engagement shoot and wedding day. She was very easy to communicate with via email/text and her booking program was easy to navigate when signing contracts. We highly recommend using her for your engagement photos if you're booking her for your wedding. My husband and I are generally very awkward in front of the camera, but had so much fun during our shoot on the beach. Sheyanne is so sweet and laidback that you instantly feel comfortable with her. The photoshoot never felt forced or "cheesy". It all felt very natural. When it came to our wedding day, she was awesome! She and her assistant were so friendly and were great at directing everyone for photos. At one point during bridal photos, I started to get a heat stroke and we had to stop taking photos. I was embarrassed, but she made sure I felt better before continuing on. If you're looking for a photographer who genuinely cares about people, then Sheyanne is your gal! She will take so many incredible photos, you won't regret her.

Sheyanne is nothing short of INCREDIBLE! My husband and I booked Sheyanne for our wedding in March of 2023 on Kauai. Not only are her and her husband (our videographer) amazing people but some of the most talented photographers I've ever worked with. The booking experience was super seamless and user-friendly through her website. Once booked we could easily communicate with her whenever needed and she provided all the tools we needed for making sure she got all the shots that my husband and I wanted for our special day. On our wedding day Sheyanne and her husband where such a wonderful pair to work with; so down to earth, beautiful vision, and captured all the memorable moments during our wedding. Her style and editing are naturally beautiful and timeless too! I would recommend them to anyone getting married in Hawaii and we hope to work with them again as we begin to grow our family :)

Shey is an excellent photographer! She made us feel immediately comfortable and captured really beautiful shots on the day. We really rarely take photos so it was so nice having someone direct and also capture natural moments. She is an artist with an eye for quality and you can clearly see the difference in her work. Shey went absolutely above and beyond as our photographer for our wedding. We were eloping from Australia, and she was more than helpful in helping us choose a location and sort out permits. On the day of, she was incredible and made us feel so so special and looked after. I wasn't stressed at all on our wedding day, and that is massively accredited to Shey. When we received our photos they were beyond beautiful. I seriously couldn't have asked for anything more from Shey, and if we lived it all over again I would book Shey every single time!! Sheyanne is INCREDIBLE!! From the moment she got in contact with us she was the kindest person ever, I mean it. She gave SO many options and really wanted to get to know my, now husband, and I and our story and what we saw for our wedding and wanted for our wedding to make sure she captured exactly what we wanted and she 10000% did just that. I honestly want to be best friends with her, she's so sweet and caring and creative and talented. My husband and I don't usually do photography sessions so I was worried we would look too posed or just not natural and I really wanted to capture our pure love and natural movements on our big day and during our adventure shoot the day after. Sheyanne tells you exactly what to do the whole time and never once made us feel posed or ever felt unnatural. My girl is also the ultimate hype girl, constantly telling us we looked beautiful and loving her work as she went. You can absolutely tell she loves what she's doing. We did an adventure shoot the day after our wedding and Sheyanne picked the PERFECT spots for us to shoot at. When I tell you every single person is speechless when they see our photos I am not exaggerating at all. They are the most beautiful pictures that we will forever look back on. I could never give Sheyanne enough stars or talk about her highly enough, she was everything I could've ever wanted and WAY more in a wedding photographer and I could never thank her enough for all she did for us. She was a HUGE aspect of why our day was so perfect!!!! We love her and would 100% recommend her to absolutely anyone needing a photographer!!!

I can’t believe how late I am writing this review, especially considering how in love I am with our elopement photos. We hired Sheyanne and her husband to be our videographer and photographer. They were AMAZING. Our day was rainy and they helped us get a new permit on the opposite side of the island and made it seem effortless. A site we originally wanted for photos was hard to get to because of the rain and tide but they both trudged through the water and laughed along with us to get our shots. They were fun and so easy to work with. Not to mention our photos and video were flawless. Can’t recommend enough!

COVID-19 Bride here ✋ – between 4 date changes, navigating COVID restrictions, and a lot of unknown... the one constant was Sheyanne. She is professional, personable, and damn good at her job! Sheyanne and her team are amazing! I found her IG during the lock down and I could just feel the love between the couples from her pictures. My husband and I were married in October 2021 with a very short planning period. She was a dream to work with and made everything fun and comfortable. Leading up to the day we spoke about my visions for the different shots I wanted and she made wonderful suggestions, she really knows what she's doing. I found Shey through my wedding planner For The Good, and she was beyond amazing. Booking her was so easy and she really made it feel like she wanted to know more about us to capture our wedding day perfectly. I will admit I was hesitant to book only because our budget was quite small but these pictures were so beautiful, she captured moments that feel like a dream and we are soooo happy we chose her as our wedding photographer. I am someone who can feel awkward taking photos but she was so encouraging and sweet she made it so easy to just enjoy our prefect day and have these amazing pictures. I cant brag enough about Sheyanne Lyn Photography. After our wedding she had our gallery sent to us with options for printing which was amazing because it had everything I could of asked for. We already have her booked for our anniversary and I cant wait to work with her again :)

A way overdue review! I’ll start by saying that I did so much research on photographers in Kona, Hawaii to photograph my wedding back in August. I would consider myself extremely picky, so just any old photographer wouldn’t do. I knew I wanted someone who matched my style - grainy, vintage, not too harsh on lighting, just natural, real, beautiful pictures. I stumbled across Sheyanne’s instagram and - woah. Talent is an understatement. Sheyanne was made for this exact business - her photography is insanely beautiful! Every time I see a picture of hers on my feed - I’m blown away. I reached out to her and communication was amazing and she was willing to travel to Kona - I was stoked! When the day of my wedding came and I got to meet Sheyanne, I felt like we had been longtime friends! She was so kind, funny, and easy to going! I put 100% of my trust in Sheyanne - to the point where she suggested I jump in the pool for some pictures (something I wasn’t planning on doing) but I did and not only was it an amazing time - the pictures came out amazing (of course) !! We did a day after photoshoot and I’m so glad we did! Needless to say, Sheyanne DELIVERED - the pictures we received for our wedding and day after shoot are AMAZING. I love every single one of them and will have a hard time picking which ones to print and hang around the house (or….is it okay to hang all 900?). My husband (who originally didn’t see the big deal in investing in photos) is SO GLAD that I booked Sheyanne - he looks at the pictures all the time. Sheyanne you are amazing and I am so lucky to have been able to work with you. Your photography has inspired me to renew my own love in photography. I look at your pictures in awe all the time. I saw that she may be offering a course for beginners starting in photography and I will be definitely signing up!!! I hope to cross paths again with you in Hawaii for another shoot. Shey is truly one of the good ones. She is such a genuine and talented human being. This is so important because it definitely translates into her craft. This was our second time working with Shey and she does not fail to deliver heart wrenching, jaw dropping photos. When Sheyanne takes photos of you either by yourself or with your significant other, her spirit alone will make you feel like you've known her your whole life. She also comes with the best ideas and locations where to photos at. At our wedding venue we ended up walking down this one lane road and took pictures near a field of cows with the sun in the background. When we got the first 50 back we looked at those photos and oh my goodness were so beautiful!! I literally look at them everyday!! They are so beautiful!! We can't thank you enough Sheyanne for our photos and we can not wait to see the rest of them!!

Sheyanne and her husband, Dillon, were incredible to work with. It all started with me emailing Sheyanne out of the blue to potentially take photographs and videos of my proposal to my, now, fiancé. I was very nervous and had a million questions that Sheyanne was so patiently able to answer to. She had a very well curated email detailing the cost structure and plan – not to mention, detailing out the best proposal spots around the island (Oahu). Sheyanne was gracious enough to hop on the phone whenever I needed to talk about the plans – although, most calls was Sheyanne acting as my personal therapist. She was amazing – gave me such comfort in the proposal process. The days leading up to the proposal, Sheyanne was able to contact and meet up with family to hand them the microphone I needed to wear during the proposal. I could not meet Sheyanne without my fiancé finding out – so she took the time to meet my family on her own time. On the day of, my fiancé was running behind getting ready (of course, right?), and unfortunately, we showed up almost an hour late. Sheyanne and Dillon were so gracious and patient to wait for us – still in hiding as Sheyanne took photographs and Dillon flew the drone and had a tripod mounted camera setup. Needless to say, they captured the moment beautifully and exactly as I hoped. Sheyanne and Dillon quickly turned around the previews of the photos before we even finished our vacation, allowing us to share with our family and friends who were unable to be there for it. Later on, they sent us our final shots and the highlight film that Dillon created for us. It turned out AMAZING. My fiancé and I are so grateful for both Sheyanne and Dillon. They were able to capture such a special moment in our lives, and they get my highest of recommendations. I am so happy I picked them as they are truly just amazing people.

Sheyanne was absolutely wonderful from the start. She was extremely responsive from the beginning email to our last correspondence! Her initial questionnaire was super intense and unique; it allowed her to get to know my husband and I as a couple, and really worked to identify what we wanted on our wedding day. We were initially bummed, because Sheyanne had said she was booked on our wedding day; however, she vouched for an associate, and said she would edit the photos herself. Beba was super fabulous! She stuck it out and shot through a lot of Kauai mud and rain. We appreciated her good spirit as we celebrated in the worst possible conditions. I cried when I got back all the beautiful pictures, and was throughly amazed by how beautifully captured the moment was. We feel truly blessed to have worked with Sheyanne! Sheyanne is the best! She has so much positive energy that we knew from the first moment of our online encounter that she was the right one. She took the time to get to know us before the wedding, worked with us to fit everything within our budget, and was always so supportive of our decisions. So going in, instead of feeling like a stranger was photographing our wedding, it felt more like a friend supporting us through the day all the while taking plenty of amazing pictures! My husband and I usually feel pretty awkward in front of cameras, but on the actual day Sheyanne did a wonderful job making us feel comfortable. She scouted out and suggested nice locations and guided us through different poses that made the entire session fun and relaxing. We had a lot of guests, some of who didn't speak English. Sheyanne totally surprised us by throwing in some Chinese phrases she learned while in China and having fun with all of our guests! She also responded very quickly to all of our messages and delivered sneak preview pictures the very next day after the wedding! Not to mention that she is an amazing photographer, and we were so happy when we received the pictures. We also chose to work with her husband Dill for the wedding video, which was an excellent decision to have two caring people who already work together extremely well. The footage, video editing, and choice of music were all incredible too. Thank you both for a memorable experience and wonderful pictures and video that we can cherish forever!

Sheyanne did a honeymoon photoshoot for my husband and I last month and our photos turned out absolutely AMAZING. She was so awesome, she made us feel so comfortable and it honestly felt like we were just hanging out with a friend. My husband and I have worked with a LOT of different photographers before but she was by far our favorite, AND her photos were definitely our favorite and we will cherish them for a lifetime. We hadn’t met Sheyanne before the photoshoot but she was so helpful with everything from picking a location, outfit recommendations, everything! Can’t recommend her enough, she deserves more than 5 stars. I am so glad to call Sheyanne a friend now and we can’t wait to work with her again in the future!

Shey was AMAZING!!!!!!! Shey did our engagement shoot in Oahu (a last min request). I am going to breakdown in bullet points why you must get her to be your photographer next time when you are in Hawaii for a wedding/ engagement shoot. 1) Communications: Shey is a great communicator. My fiancee and I decided to visit Hawaii last minute and we wanted to have our engagement photo taken there since we have no good photos and we definitely will need some for the Save the Date and Website. I was reaching out to a lot of different photographers through instagram - I think I've reached out to more than 10 and I was quite surprised by how not responsive some people were. Perhaps I am too used to the pace in NYC or I am just a Type-A person but to me, communication is the key to building a trusted working relationship. I originally was about to lock in a photographer - but it took her over a week to reply to my email even I had texted her and emailed her multiple times. I only had less than a week to my trip so I decided to look for a new photographer and stumbled upon Shey's instagram (I don't even know how but I was just major stalking everyone). I loved her style and color tone - and geez, silverlining - I'm so glad the first photographer never got back to me because Shey was just SO easy and was the best to work with. I first messaged Shey on instagram and she immediately replied. She was so good at responding and I already felt so much better dealing with someone who is so responsive (i.e knowing it won't take her 5 months to give us back our photos). She had a wedding to shoot on the only day I was available. She was so kind and decided to squeeze us in - we started shooting at 9am!! Shey asked me a few questions and suggested the perfect location for our shoot - We paid and locked down Shey. The whole process was impeccable and was done in less than 1.5 days! 2) Professionalism: Shey told us she hasn't been in the industry for too long but you will never be able to tell. She's SO professional and so good at doing what she does. I told her that I, in general, feel very awkward in front of the camera and it just isn't my favorite thing to do. She made it so much more comfortable for us. She was talking to us while capturing candid shots. Nothing was staged or posed. I told her I don't want to pose too much or spend too much time shooting - she was SOOO quick, we finished the shoot in 30-40 minutes and all the photos turned out GREAT. 3) Quality: 5 STARS!!! Love her processing. Love the color palette of the photos...everything looked great. I'm so glad and so excited to use her photos for our wedding website! The best part is, she sent everything back to us in 1.5 weeks (150 photos!!) - Super super quick. 4) Personality: She's just the sweetest and nicest girl. So easy to be around with and kind-hearted. She brings a smile to her work. She's responsive, responsible, punctual, she has a great eye for what looks good and which angle to shoot from - she is a really really talented photographer. I only have great things to say about Shey. I showed her photos to a few wedding vendors/ wedding coordinators and everyone was impressed. I would highly highly recommend Shey and if I can give her a 10 star, I would!

To all the future couples : I can't even begin to express how amazing this woman is as a photographer and a person. I had the blessing of Sheyanne photographing my elopement and one year anniversary. The first time meeting her in person I was blown away by her amazing direction in posing my spouse and myself, also by the way she was so fun to be around. I can't even start to explain how incredible our photos come out, not only did we have an amazing time with her but our photos truly show how comfortable she made us. I have never felt so beautiful looking at these pictures. I have them hung all over my house and when I wake up in the morning they are one of the first things I see. We just recently had our one year anniversary shoot and as always it was wonderful to see Sheyanne and her beautiful smile. When we received our photos she once again blew us away to tears. Ive never loved someone so much, and to have that love captured to last forever is probably the most important thing in my life. I couldn't be more thankful to have such an amazing person be apart of my special moments. I love this girl so much I literally would fly anywhere in the world just to have her be apart of my life memories.
