is husband and wife duo are, you can't help but feel connected to them somehow! The display of their portfolio blew me away and I knew that their style of photography and the finish of the editing was some of the best I had seen during my research. Fast forward to our engagement shoot-- which was SO easily planned as they were so flexible with their dates and they were even up for the adventure to travel to Washington D.C., where we got engaged. Mel and Kevin work so well together and they truly capture every single moment, facial expression, and give amazing direction. There is nothing worse then a photographer that doesn't pose you or have any direction for the shoot, Mel and Kevin moved us around the Capitol building grounds and we got a ton of variety in our gallery! After I saw the engagement photos, I was elated and I could not wait until the wedding to work with them again, I knew they would create magic for us. My husband and I were married on 11/11/17 and by 12/4/17 we had a sneak peek of our photos so that we could get some thank you cards printed at my request which was granted within a week! On 1/5/18 we had the ENTIRE gallery of over 1,000 photos to view with a USB and 50 fine art prints (in a beautiful customized wooden box with our names carved on it) in the mail on its way to our home! THEY ARE BETTER THEN I COULD HAVE EVER DREAMED! Mel and Kevin captured every single moment from getting ready to the reception to amazing candids at the reception. I really can't describe how much I love all of our photos, it's basically impossible to pick my favorites! But thats not even the best part. Throughout the year, we got a valentine's day card with a gift card to Starbucks for a coffee date and as a gift for the holidays, we received a locket with two of our wedding photos on a keychain that I carry with me every day. Choosing Shifted Focus Photography was one of the best decisions we made for the wedding. Mel and Kevin have clients for life in us!
