up. But it was so much more than that. Shilpa is carefully attentive to the mood, energy and flow of the event. We had seen her at various other friends’ weddings and knew we needed her for ours. What’s more is that our friends didn’t necessarily have the same vibe as we do - she carefully gets to know each client and tailors the experience to them (more details below). In our opinion, she is THE BEST DJ IN THE BIZ. Stop looking. You’ve found her. *Music* - Wow. Her original mixes are AMAZING, and so many people were asking us where they could download her tracks. She made critical decisions with us to ensure the ceremony was emotional and yet the music was not distracting. During interval periods she had vibey bops that kept the guests moving and happy. Then the dance floor - wow - it was bumping. We just had the best time, and keep wanting to go back. *Vibe/Energy* - You spend a lot of your wedding day with your vendors. Shilpa is the person you want by your side. She is thoughtful, knowledgeable, detail-oriented and incredibly kind. She makes you feel like she is in it with you, and is upbeat and relentless in pursuing the very best event she can provide for you. This isn’t just a gig for her, as evidence by the fact that we found our little cousins (~ 6yo) behind the DJ booth with her, and being inspired in a future career as a DJ herself! This woman brings it- hard. *Communication* - Shilpa is a skilled communicator. She is quick on email responses, reviews detailed documents, gets on numerous video calls to ensure she understands your vision, and even came to a walkthrough of our venue where most of the discussions did not relate to her just to be in the loop on the needs of a particularly complex outdoor venue. She’s awesome. *Professionalism* - Shilpa is the consummate professional. When you’re putting together your wedding planning team, you want to hire vendors who don’t just care about their part, but the entire event as a whole and invest in creating the client’s vision. Shilpa didn’t make it about her - she made it about us. She worked phenomenally with our team, communicating with both our wedding planner in a timely fashion, and also with our parents - able to allay fears in a different way. She identified deviations from our timeline even before we had, and raised flags for our wedding planner to allow her to modify other plans - this avoided a huge delay down the line and allowed our even to flow smoothly - all thanks to Shilpa! She is a very STRONG addition to any wedding team. *Value* - Huge ROI. A wedding is a big investment and what you choose to spend your money on matters. For every dollar you spend with Shilpa, there is a 10x return. We felt she charged very reasonably and we feel that we received much more than we paid for the incredible service she provided. *Summation* - Just do it. She is the very best, and you won’t regret it.

e on the dance floor the whole night. Everyone we spoke to absolutely loved her, and rightfully so. She’s dedicated, straight forward, and incredibly intuitive to any party’s energy and guest list. I’ve been a fan since; I’ve watched her grow a phenomenal business and I have loved seeing her expand across the globe. It was a no-brainer to have her at our wedding this year. I didn’t even have half of my vendors down before we called her to make sure she could be part of it. Every time I talked about her to friends (especially my non-desi ones), it was always with “She’s so cool, she is my hero.” And she truly is. I especially am grateful to have built rapport with her outside of the wedding process. She’s authentic and so conscientious of her message and her brand. She has the confidence to own who she is, despite being in an industry that not only is highly competitive but one that has very little space for women. But thanks to her, that space is getting bigger and bigger every time she drops a mix or has a party. I can’t wait to see what’s next for her. If you want the best of the best, book her!

s every step of the way. Our initial conversations were geared towards learning about us, completely unrelated to music, which we appreciated. Shilpa really took the time to understand us, which in the end made the world of a difference. As the wedding came closer, we had discussions about "must play" songs, songs we like in general so that she could get an idea of what we like, and songs not to play. Unlike other DJs, Shilpa did not limit us to a number of songs for these lists, and really tried to learn about what we like. She also made it very clear what was needed from our end, and worked directly with our planner so that we had all necessary equipment, given this was a destination wedding. She helped mix the songs together for our dances and also provided suggestions when we needed them. Additionally, she gave us suggestions for our mobile Baraat which were very helpful. Going into the wedding weekend, Shilpa was extremely easy to communicate with. The Baraat was one of our highlights for sure; we hear about it from all of our family and friends, even one year out from the wedding. She did an amazing job getting both of our families and friends together with music, which was a tough task given that many of our guests had not been to an Indian wedding before. The Sangeet and Reception were no different, and she kept the energy going all weekend. She perfectly blended both of our cultures together. Our Spanish-speaking family from Colombia even complimented her Salsa music taste! DJ Shilpa was highly recommended to us, and was even better than we could have expected. She was the only vendor that we selected who was not local to Miami. She's an open format DJ and well versed in many different genres of music. She really cares about learning about the couple and it shows. We highly recommend her to anyone planning an event who wants a lit dance floor and unforgettable event!
