Great band with awesome energy! The horn section was top notch!

Choosing a band was one of the most important decisions that we made for our wedding and we could not have been happier with Shimmer!! 10 out of 10 times if we had to make the decision again we would choose them. They were great to work with leading up to the wedding: responsive, willing to accommodate our requests and our feedback on the song list, and their professionalism was fantastic. They were on time and had everything they needed to put on a great show and boy did they ever! Our dance floor was FULL all night and our guests have been raving about what a FUN party the night was! They were interactive with our guests and kept the energy up all night. We wish we could be guests at their next wedding because it was just so much fun!!

Shimmer played for our 5/25/19 wedding in Bluffton, SC and they were absolutely amazing!! Our guests stayed on the dance floor with us for the entire reception and had nothing but great things to say about Shimmer. One guest even said he felt like he was at a concert! Leading up to the wedding day we were in contact with Jay and he is so easy to work with and is always quick to respond to any questions, etc. This groups is talented, fun, professional and we are so glad we chose them for our big day. I would HIGHLY recommend them!!

Everyone was dancing at our wedding and had the best time because of Shimmer. So many people complimented and raved how amazing they were and they truly were amazing!! From start to finish, when they played people were dancing!

"BEST BAND EVER" - it's true what they say about Shimmer. Every one of our 150 wedding guests we've talked to afterward has said exactly that. Shimmer passes all the requirements for a great wedding band with flying colors. For us, that mainly meant keeping the dance floor going all night long, which they DID. However, there were a few other things that stood out to us that truly make them the best band ever. PROFESSIONALISM These guys are the real deal. No matter what package you choose, you will be presented with a unified front of top-notch musicians dressed for the occasion. For our black-tie wedding at 6pm, they arrived no later than 12pm for setup. They were clearly committed to making sure their sound and space was just right to make for a fantastic evening. On the same note, their band manager was extremely responsive. We exchanged many emails and his responses were always thorough and beyond punctual. MUSIC We knew Shimmer would be great, but had no idea they would so thoroughly exceed our expectations. We went for the 8-piece package which included a two-horn section (sax and trumpet). All the hits were executed to perfection. The horns especially shone in songs like "Try a Little Tenderness" by Otis Redding. Both of their vocalists were engaging and sounded great. Finally, one thing that stood out to me and several other guests was their total command of the volume of the performance. Shimmer absolutely mastered the mix from start to finish, setting a quiet backdrop for dinner and raising the roof towards the end of the night. ACCOMODATIONS I'm a musician, and Shimmer went out of the way to arrange for me to join them for a serenade for my bride. They worked with me at length to have a guitar and a microphone waiting for me on stage. They even set the guitar up in an alternate tuning! Shimmer will clearly go above and beyond to make sure you and your guests are happy.

We had Shimmer play at our wedding reception at the Grove Park Inn a couple of weeks ago. They did an awesome job and we all loved the music. Shimmer did a great job of getting everyone on the dance floor, especially because our crowd had a lot of people that don’t normally dance. Our guests are still talking about how great the band played. The band leader Jay is great to work with before hand and he was very helpful in getting a perfect playlist. We highly recommend this band. They are very talented and we love the fact that they play such a wide variety of music.

SHIMMER exceeded our expectations in every way. They are excellent musicians...they KNOW how to work a crowd...the playlist is extensive.....they have FUN with the guests as well as the bride groom and attendants...They LOOK good, sound good and will make you feel good. Jay the director makes the organizational process easy and timely. Our guests told me they almost felt like they were at a concert. April the lead singer literally became Beyonce during Crazy in Love. We did not want a local new orleans band for our wedding. we wanted a kick ass rockstar band that would stand above what everyone had been seeing there and this is exactly what we got. No one remembers the cake, the flowers and the other stuff....but they do remember the party. this band will be the best decision you make.

Shimmer was absolutely outstanding, they made our wedding at Druid Hills Golf Club a night to remember. They went above and beyond to make all our special requests happen and they absolutely crushed the night! We have had so many wedding guests compliment the band and want to book them for their own personal upcoming events. I cannot thank each band member enough for making our cocktail hour and reception absolutely perfect. Music sets the tone in many environments and Shimmer certainly made our wedding more beautiful than we could have ever imagined. It was a pleasure having you all and I wish nothing but the best to each of you and I will be sending recommendations to all that I know hosting future events! Thank you so much!

Book them. Book them now! I got married on 10.21.17 and Shimmer by far and away stole the show. They honestly made the reception. We've been fielding kudos on having an amazing band all day, and I can only give credit where credit is due - they literally rock. Incredibly talented, 110% professional, and everything in between. I can't thank them enough for the absolutely wonderful evening they gave us. We had some off the beaten path requests, and they were able to handle everything we asked flawlessly. Shimmer was AMAZING!!!!!! Throughout our booking and music selection process, Jay Hardie was so easy to work with and super flexible with meeting the noise ordinances of our venue. Shimmer is everything we hoped they would be and then some. They are crazy talented musicians and singers, they are engaging and interactive, and we are STILL getting compliments on the group. My husband and I highly recommend Shimmer - they made our wedding reception so fun and memorable!

Shimmer band played at our wedding on 10/1/2016. They played nice cocktail music while we ate dinner and when dinner started wrapping up they switched to fun dance music. The entire room was up dancing! Everyone had to kick off their shoes to continue dancing the night away. Would recommend them to anyone in the Atlanta Area.

The Shimmer Band Was Terrific!! My daughter got married last weekend in Hilton Head. I knew Shimmer would be good but had no idea how good. They played for over 2 hours without a break and the dance floor was crowded the entire time. They flawlessly transitioned song after song. The band was very interactive with the audience. At midnight, the crowd coaxed them into 2 encores as they couldn't get enough. The band also arrived earlier than expected and made sure they understood the schedule. If you book them, get the horn section. They were super! Thanks for being a huge part of an amazing night!!

Shimmer Band, from East Coast Entertainment, was incredible for our November wedding. We heard them at a friend's wedding and knew they would have to be our wedding band. They are the second vendor we booked! The band is professional and incredibly talented from start to finish. They provided the exact atmosphere we wanted for our wedding and all of our guests commented on how wonderful they were. I would highly recommend this band as they truly set the tone for our amazing wedding. I cannot explain how great of a band they really are but all engaged couples should check out this band for their wedding!

Shimmer is absoluetly amazing!! They were our band for our wedding in Savannah, GA on Jan 29, 2011. They are an awesome band playing a variety of genres, and they were exactly what my husband and I were looking for. We wanted a male and female vocalist, and Shimmer's vocalists are amazing. Not to mention the musicians!! They exceeded our expectations, not only in musical quality, but also in getting the party going and getting all of our guests involved! I have never been to a wedding where all of the guests are out of their seats (literally) participiating and dancing the night away. Shimmer is incredible! If you are looking for a band that is more than just a band, a band that really gets the party going, book Shimmer now!! You will not be disappointed!!
