Dan and his talented team at ShindigLighting did an amazing job at our daughter's recent wedding reception in an airplane hangar in Connecticut. They uplit vintage airplanes, hung pipe & drape throughout, had bistro lights above the tables and created a warm, cozy atmosphere in a very large space. I can't say enough about how they transformed the venue!! I highly recommend Shindig Lighting for your special day!

Gobo projectors& string lights were used and made my tented reception look incredible! Dan was phenomenal!

We saved lighting for last, as we planned our July afternoon wedding - since it would be sunny for the majority of our reception. But well before the stars came out, Dan helped put a really classy spin on our entire event - he uplit our sweetheart table, uplit the tent, and got a monogram decal for our dancefloor. Dan was SUPER helpful in keeping us within budget and maximizing the impact of our event. I would recommend Dan to everyone looking for lighting.

Dan and his crew transformed our site from ho hum to spectacular. When the daylight faded and the darkness descended on us, his amber wall washes and centerpiece pinspotting elevated the environment like magic. And, He was easy to work with, got our vision and made it happen without any stress or hassle. And, we were lucky enough to take advantage of his new state-of-the-art photobooth. We were a bit concerned it might be tacky -- having seen other vendors' equipment -- but it was tasteful and one of the highlights for our guests at the event. Two thumbs up! We would recommend him without hesitation.

After searching around I found that not only was this service the least expensive, but also had great reviews! I never met the vendor but when I arrived it was all setup and looked great!

Dan at ShinDig Lighting was such a pleasure to work with. He is a smart and down-to-earth guy who loves what he does and provides great customer service. Given how many vendors you work with for any wedding, I appreciated that ShinDig made the process very simple and straightforward, even down to the in person pre-meeting in which you can see the equipment and pick colors, to the email system that allow you to make payments online (no checks to write and send in mail!). I should also add, while I was on the fence about adding lighting at our reception, the ambiance was vastly improved and it looked beautiful that night. Through ShinDig, we decided to use up-lighting, pin spotting (my personal favorite and HUGE game changer) and the photo booth. I can't tell you how much guests enjoyed the photo booth! Don't hesitate to call and book ShinDig for your wedding - They were an A+ vendor!!

Dan at shindig did an awesome job on the lighting for my wedding at the roundhouse. His prices were great for uplighting and a dance floor wash. he picked a perfect color to complement the brick walls at my venue which really created a warm atmosphere in the room. Working with Dan and the team from Shindig lighting was an absolute pleasure. Right from the beginning Dan was responsive to my questions and flexible when considering my budget. He always catered to my requests and made sure that I was getting the most out of the budget we agreed on. The guys came to the wedding on time and set up without a hitch. Dan at Shindig is the man! He came out and did the initial consultation with us and made us happy from the jump. He made recommendations without being pushy and he actually cared about making our day special. The uplighting and cake spot light was perfect and set the perfect atmosphere. I have to say, lighting was not on my top list of must haves for my wedding. My fiance wanted this and I am so happy he did. I found Shindig Lighting on the knot. We got married in CT, but i lived in upstate NY and did not have time to meet with Dan. I gave him my color theme and he took care of everything else. The whole day was prefect but the lighting at the reception was icing on the cake. Thanks guys.

Dan and his crew at shindig lighting was what made My big day come alive! I had visions of what I wanted But didn't really know how to pull it all together.. He put up over 20 mirror balls amongst other amazing lighting and he just transformed my tent into the most fabulous glamorous evening in July!!! Dan's professionalism was impressive and his hard work never stopped!!! The only problem now is I'm trying to come up with another event just to use him again!!!!! And I'm not kidding!

Shindig Lighting was a recommendation from my best friend's wedding. Dan is so nice and pleasant to work with!! I had my wedding at Glastonbury Hills Country Club and took up the whole space, so I needed a lot of lighting. I ordered a package for something like 30 ambiance lights, some pinpoint lights, table under-lighting, and a logo spotlight and it came out absolutely great! The lighting really changes the mood of the room. The transaction was easy, you can pay however you like or even Paypal. He is very flexible with your time and with making payments. Lighting was one of the last things I was worried about during the wedding process when a friend told my husband and I about Shindig. When they said it made a huge difference we were both intrigued. After viewing photos and speaking with Dan of Shindig we decided to use uplighting at our reception. What a difference! The lighting was amazing, the colors were perfect and the atmosphere was 10X better. Dan and his crew were flawless throughout the entire process. I could not have picked a better vendor.

We wanted to use our church sanctuary but make it a little "different". Shindig provided the answer. They respected the space and provided lighting to enhance the architectural designs. A job well done!

Dan Gombos was outstanding! He helped us choose the most beautiful lighting accents to make our wedding elegant and romantic. Guests were raving about the unique design of light cast on our dance floor, and everyone commented on the pin-spot lights that enhanced the floral centerpieces! The Society Room of Hartford can be dimly lit at night, but Dan made our experience there sparkle! :) Absolutely loved seeing how the little touches paid off. Lighting is often an option that can be overlooked when budgeting for a wedding, but we are so glad we had Dan there.... Dan and the team at Shindig were absolutely fantastic! In addition to completely transforming the venue with beautiful uplighting and gobos, they brought along lighted tables and furniture for the area around the dance floor. The guests loved it and it created a fabulous loungey party atmosphere. It's easy to forget the flowers-- but lighting like this makes an event truely memorable. I would not hesitate to use them again for another party or recommend them to my friends.

The lighting at our reception venue (Great River Golf Club) was truly spectacular. Dan at Shindig was wonderful in meeting with us to plan the lighting for our reception and it was so worth the money! The lighting transformed the ballroom and my husband and I both loved it. Thanks Dan!

Dan did a fantastic job with our wedding in a ballroom studio in Derby, CT. From the beginning he was able to understand our vision even when we didn't know the technical terms. He made great suggestions to guide us in the right directions, put up with changes of plan right up to the last day and was easy to contact throughout. The building is an amazing art deco piece from the 30's but it is a little dingy after all these years. We cleaned it up and hoped for the best. When we walked in to the reception our jaws dropped! Dan's lighting brought out all the artistry in the room! And the way he lit a slightly strange, large picture on one wall made it seem like a natural part of the room. I would use him again for any event!

Dan Gombos from Shindig lighting is literally awesome. He's super easy to work with and really understands your vision. I did a lot of research for lighting and compared to what's out there, Shindig is the best price and you get the exact same quality of work and effect as you would for some of the larger lighting vendors based in New York. (Shindig is based in CT) He contributed to the process, was so easy going and literally made the reception room feel like a whimsical place. I highly recommend him!

Our venue (The Branford House) presented many challenges from layout to lighting. We trusted Dan based on his input and experience to produce the perfect setting. He did not disappoint. Dan was wonderful to work with...we decided that our venue was a bit plain so two weeks before our wedding we were scrambling to come up with ideas. We called Dan and he was amazing. He met with us at the venue and showed us all the different options. The day of he was prompt, professional and most of all the room looked unbelievable! On top of this he was extremely reasonable with his prices, matching and in fact beating a few other quotes we had received. In addition he realized our monogram would not show up well so he informed us of that and adjusted the fee accordingly. He could have thrown the monogram up and charged us anyway but he was very honest and we really appreciated that. I would highly recommend Shindig Lighting for any event and I hope I can work with Dan again in the future!
