From the moment they arrived, they brought such positive energy and professionalism, making the whole morning relaxed and fun. What I loved most was how they made everyone look like the best version of themselves—beautiful, polished, and glowing, but still so natural. They really listened to what each of us wanted and took the time to foundation match perfectly. I was so relieved to see my skin tone looking flawless and natural, without any hint of orange! Their attention to detail was incredible, and it gave me so much confidence knowing I looked like me—just enhanced in the best way possible. My bridesmaids looked stunning, and my bridal look was everything I had hoped for and more. Plus, the makeup held up perfectly all day and night, through every happy tear and every dance move. Shine, Tina! was great to work with. Heather was the make-up artist for my wedding day. I was so glad! I selected them because my trials with other providers resulted in cakey, unnatural makeup that my now-husband severely disliked. But when I went to Heather and Tina, the outcomes were very natural. It's highlighting your best features and minimizing flaws without getting too overboard. I felt very good during the wedding day, and the makeup lasted through 95 degree weather and up to midnight. My mom, mother in law and bridal party were also very pleased with the results. They had all praises for Heather and her technique. I rated them a four because of overall affordability, they are NOT cheap! But I will say worth the money for the results!

Tina did an amazing job for my wedding! My hair and make up was better than I had imagined it and I felt both like myself and a more beautiful version that was picture perfect! The make up and hair style fit my ceremony outfit (I wore a modern hanbok) and my reception outfit (western white dress) - I was able to freely dance, cry, and have the time I wanted at my wedding! They also did an amazing job doing make up for our mother's and friends - subtle but again, picture perfect. Tina provided a clear schedule which allowed us to stay on time and be organized during the wedding morning. All in all, an amazing experience - thank you again!

Absolutely recommend! We hired junior artists Lindsey for hair and Heather for makeup for me (the bride), my sister (the officiant), and the two moms, and they did not disappoint. Although these women are the “junior artists” of the studio, they are seasoned pros who know exactly how to make their clients… shine lol. The booking process was easy because the team was quick to respond to our questions about what each service included/didn’t include and was transparent with prices, timing, and realistically meeting our needs. On the day of, Heather and Lindsey arrived at the hotel 15 minutes early to set up and promptly begin at the scheduled time. They were just the right mix of friendly and professional to make us feel comfortable and taken care of. I’ve had my hair and makeup done professionally countless times for friends’ weddings and it has never been good, so I was nervous, but boy did they deliver. None of us put on makeup or do our hair regularly and none of us had any ideas as to how we wanted to look, so we were grateful for their expertise and guidance. Both Lindsey and Heather provided helpful suggestions but were also open to our deviations. None of us were used to the amount of makeup and hair products required and were therefore hesitant at first, but after a while we got used to the feeling and it was worth it for the photos–I have never looked better! My mom speaks primarily Korean, so it was a treat for her to be able to speak with Lindsey and Heather in her native tongue; my mother in law is Chinese, but she did not feel any less comfortable or welcomed by Lindsey and Heather. My hair was medium length and thin, my mom’s hair was a permed mass of unruly curls, and my mother in law’s hair was thick, long, and straight–all three of the low buns that Lindsey adorned on our heads were classy and clean. I asked for a few wispy bangs down the sides, and Lindsey cut my hair to give me just that (a gift that keeps on giving as they add a little flair to my usually plain hair today). My sister has long, wavy hair, which Lindsey groomed into perfectly voluminous and non-frizzy waves. Aside from one of my fake eyelashes fighting for its life at the end of the night, all of our makeup and hair stayed put–and that’s even with me crying like a baby during the hot outdoor ceremony!

Tina is AMAZING! This is a review after having her for my engagement photos and wedding, and I have nothing but the best to say about her! Getting professional hair and makeup done is scary as someone who's never had it done before, but she really calms you down during the trial session. You can tell that she's a professional at what she does and knows exactly what she's talking about, and she personalizes everything exactly to suit you. I recommend doing the hair and makeup trial! Tina also offered tips on what to prepare for for the wedding day so you'll know exactly what to expect. On our wedding day, she and Linda set up so fast and got straight to work (so professional!) Even after not seeing me for a year, she knew exactly what I needed. TRUST THEIR TEAM! It was a rainy day and they talked me into an updo which was the best idea ever since it stayed all day and night and looked sooo elegant. She and Linda was able to prep us, our parents, and our MoH who was Indian, so they're able to work on not just east Asians! Our parents are also new to makeup and don't speak English well, but Tina and Linda were so patient and great at communicating with them so I didn't have any worries about that at all! Our makeup stayed on all day, showed up really nicely on pictures, and all we needed was a lip touch up. Tina and her team will make you feel absolutely gorgeous! Also, as a very acne prone person, I had no breakouts after the day!!

I hired Tina and her team to do hair and makeup for myself, my 7 bridesmaids, and two mothers. I am Korean so it was important to have an artist be comfortable with Asian features and boy, did she execute everything perfectly. My 7 bridesmaids were all of different ethnicities (Caucasian, East Asian, and South Asian), with different features, but they made them all beautiful. Tina and her team are a very well oiled machine. I could not believe in less than 30 minutes, they set up 4 stations and also breaking down. Her junior artists are by no means junior either. They are incredibly talented. Tina and her team are 10000% worth it.

I hired Tina for my destination wedding in Florida. I cannot recommend Tina enough!!! Her talent is undeniable (otherwise, I would NOT have flown her all the way out for our wedding). She has done my make up three times now and each time she impresses me more and more. As an Asian American women, I have never liked western make up on me - it did not suit my face & I thought that was just what I was stuck with! However, I came across Tina and I finally felt seen and beautiful. I could sense her expertise right away by the way she assessed my face and knew instantly the color palette that suit me. What sets Tina apart is her ability to skillfully blend k-beauty and western beauty standards to create a look that's uniquely suited to you - I have yet to find another artist who isn't just one or the other. She also shared a wealth of knowledge for me to "take home," so I was able to improve my every day make up routine - her services don't just end on the chair, you take it home with you for many years to come! Additionally, my bridesmaids and mother in law all LOVED their make up and hair on wedding day. They are all different ethnicities with different facial structures and skin. All of them have also started to change their every day make up routine to replicate Tina's work. Through Tina's artistry, I've come to realize that makeup isn't just about enhancing one's appearance... It's a powerful tool that can impact the way that you feel, your interactions with others, and ultimately the entire day. Tina and Linda were both absolutely wonderful for hair and makeup at my November wedding! I was looking for artists who could truly create a customized look for myself and my bridesmaids, and this team went above and beyond. I love how passionate Tina is about makeup — she'll chat with you about colors and undertones, facial structure, different makeup products or styles, and generally gets so excited for you to learn what works best for you. The day of, Tina and Linda both asked each bridesmaid what they were comfortable with and what they were looking for — all of my bridesmaids who had their hair and makeup done separately commented to me that they loved their hair and makeup. The team was working on quite a short timeline, but was so calm and collected that what could have been a stressful morning ended up being a bit more relaxed and definitely fun. We were especially impressed that the hairstyles lasted the whole wedding day through dancing and everything! If I could make a recommendation to anyone thinking about Shine, Tina! studio for their wedding, it would be to definitely do the hair/makeup trial in advance. It's objectively a little pricey, but so worth it. During the trial Tina and Linda discussed what styles I would want, tried out different products, and took into consideration any likes/dislikes and even skin sensitivities that I have. I was surprised at just how many details they remembered the day of! Lastly, I would say my favorite thing about working with this team is that they will offer their professional recommendations if you need, but they're also so dedicated to creating a look that you love. When I brought up questions about things that I wasn't sure would work well, they would show me different options and explain their reasoning but leave the decision totally up to me. There was no pressure to go with anything other than what I liked the most. If I ever need hair and makeup done for anything, I would one hundred percent come back to this team!

Tina and Linda were amazing, I 100% recommend them! Tina and Linda were amazing to work with and made me and my wedding party feel at ease during the entire process. The hair and makeup lasted all day (a huge feat considering how early we started and how late the wedding ended!) and everybody was very pleased with their results. Moreover, we received many compliments from the guests. I had many questions for Tina leading up to the wedding day, and she was quick and detailed in all of her responses. My two main concerns for my wedding hair&make-up were that I have very finicky, wavy hair and very thick monolids. I have never had my hair and make-up done by a professional who understood my vision, as well as how to style my hair and do monolid make-up as well as the Shine Tina team! I was slightly nervous going in, but they made sure to continuously ask what I wanted every step of the way (with my mother and sister as well for their hair&make-up), and in the end, both my hair and make-up lasted all day and night (2PM-1AM) and I still did not want to take any of it off that night! I felt so beautiful and comfortable!

I hired Tina because I knew how popular she was and had seen her work before through mutual acquaintances and all I can say is she is sososo worth it. The whole team made my bridal party look beautiful with their hair and makeup. Even my husband got his hair done and it looked great. My mom also got her hair and makeup done by Tina and she looked unbelievable. I cannot thank them enough for making my special day turn out so lovely. I had the most magical experience working with “Shine, Tina!” (Tina and Linda). They went above and beyond to make my wedding day perfect, not only for me but for my entire bridal party. From the first phone call, I knew I was in the right hands with Tina. Her years of experience in the industry and vast knowledge of event planning were evident as she guided me through the process. She sent me a questionnaire, asked for my vision, and even reviewed inspiration photos to get a clear understanding of my desired look. The trial with Tina and Linda only confirmed I made the right choice. It was clear they were true artists, knowing exactly where and what to apply to create a look that was both symmetrical and stunning. They even managed to transform my fine hair into a beautiful hairstyle . Throughout the process, they provided invaluable advice for my big day, and I quickly felt comfortable with them, as though we were friends. On the wedding day, Tina and Linda arrived not just on time but professionally early. In just 10 minutes they transformed the entire suite into a studio with dedicated makeup and hair stations. Tina's claim of being a one-stop shop was no joke; she brought absolutely everything needed to set up the stations efficiently and maximize the available space. Everyone on the wedding party was in love with their makeup and hair, and mentioned many times about their experience with Tina and Linda and how much they loved it. Despite the scorching 98F temperature during the ceremony, my makeup and hair did not budge and stayed put the entire night. I cannot thank Tina and Linda enough for their expertise and professionalism. They made me feel like a million bucks on my wedding day, and I would highly recommend them to any bride looking for the best in the business. They are truly the best at what they do, and you will not regret working with them.

Tina was amazing to work with!! From the first email, she was responsive and transparent and honest. I did a trial with her because I kind of knew what I wanted and definitely knew what I did not want, and she was able to interpret what I said and translate it into a great trial experience and an even better wedding day look! On my wedding day, Tina and Linda were on time, brought great energy, and tailored makeup and hair - not just for me, but every single bridesmaid and mom! And, as a testament to her skills, my makeup was flawless the whole night even with many (happy) tears and lots of dancing. Would highly, highly recommend!

I've followed Tina's Instagram for a while and immediately knew that her team is who I wanted for my wedding day. Tina was amazing in answering all of my questions quickly and accommodating changes to the schedule. I was pretty clueless during the hair and makeup trial, but Tina gave some very insightful advice in color palette and hair that made the overall effect so much better. Lyndsey was my day of artist and I cannot rave about her enough. She was at my venue early, remembered all of the changes I wanted and even was wonderful dealing with some of my difficult family members. I 100% recommend ShineTina, Lyndsey and her team for any event you have!

Tina and her team are incredible, and I recommend her and her team with full confidence. Because of availability, we had Lyndsey perform our hair & makeup day of, and she was just the absolute best! I only have good things to say about Tina and Lyndsey, but here are some specifics of why I recommend them so highly: - Incredible eye. Their color matching and ability to flatter features is unmatched. I was blown away! They treat makeup and hair as a true art, and it shows in the quality of their work. - Very open to feedback. Everyone has preferences, and they were open to feedback and incorporated it so well, without any judgement. This is huge and I appreciated this so much. They are just lovely people inside and out, and want you to feel your best the day of, which was wonderful. - Flexible and very good communicators. I was able to schedule and adjust as needed very quickly and easily. Lyndsey was absolutely incredible with everything. That said, I had a wonderful experience with the trial (Tina and Lyndsey were both present) which I think helped hone my preferences so I highly recommend that. I also scheduled a brow session as well (Tina is a brow queen) a couple days before my wedding and loved it all! 10/10, highly recommend!

Tina’s team was incredible. I had an amazing experience with her junior artists on the day of my wedding for HMU for myself, mother, and mother-in-law. They were professional and arrived on time. I loved my final look and the hair & makeup was so secure, through the crying and dancing it looked incredible throughout the night. My mother, MIL, and I got many compliments on our looks. After my initial trial (recommended), I had a makeup look in mind that did not work as well for my complexion and hair that didn’t work as well for my head shape. I sent all of this feedback in detail to Tina via email on what I liked and did not like and her artists really took the time to correct everything for me on the day of. The final look achieved was exactly what I wanted. Tina’s artists are very skilled and can achieve any look you’re going for. My advice for brides after their trial is to send their feedback to Tina since everyone has a different makeup preference. I really appreciate that Tina and her team were very open to adjusting the look to make me happy on that day!

Tina, Linda, and Heather were amazing and did phenomenal jobs. I absolutely loved their work and so did my bridesmaids! Tina made me look stunning for my wedding day and didn’t overdo it like I wanted where it looked so natural. Tina was easy to communicate with and very responsive. She will respond so fast that it actually made my husband surprised. Tina was prompt and professional, but most importantly she is a highly skilled makeup artist. My single non-negotiable for the wedding was having a hair and make-up artist that has shown excellence working with Asian faces. I wanted to make sure we had someone that understood my bone structure, skin undertone, and hair texture. These ladies are THE PROS! And the best part is that even for my non-Asian bridesmaids, they delivered the most GORGEOUS outcomes. You can trust that Tina and her team will deliver!! My bridesmaids, my mom, MIL, aunt, and I were all so pleased with how everything turned out. And my hair and make up DID NOT BUDGE. I was bad and fell asleep with my make up on, and I woke up looking like I just had my make up done! And some other details - Tina is so responsive. She was willing to work different timeline scenarios with me and help me settle on the team and timeline that would best achieve a smooth wedding day. This is your dream team! I promise!

Tina and Crew did an amazing job. They did the makeup and hair for me and my mom, and I can honestly say I don't think I've ever looked better haha. They had an impressively elaborate setup in our hotel room, and did everything so efficiently. Tina has such an eye for makeup, and really enhances natural beauty. The hair stylist was also able to replicate exactly what I wanted from photos and used hair pieces I had bought last minute. Even before I started wedding planning, I knew Shine Tina was the first vendor I needed to lock in after the venue was confirmed. I have had my hair and makeup done by Tina’s team as a bridesmaid a few times, and she and the team NEVER disappoint. Every experience with Tina and Linda has been a joy - they are fun to work with and very skilled at their craft. Tina is also extremely responsive and quick to put together the schedule and adjust as needed. She also catered the makeup style to my face shape and structure specifically, and worked her magic to make my big round face look tiny! Day of, the team arrive early to set up. I was worried about staying on track with the timeline, but we ended up being ahead of schedule! I am so pleased with the quality of hair and makeup. Somehow it is both glamorous but also natural at the same time, AND makeup/hair stays in place until the end of the night! I would not hesitate to recommend Shine Tina to anyone.

My sister hasn’t gotten professional makeup done before and was nervous, but she said she loved how it turned out. My mom was also very impressed. Tina and her team are absolutely amazing! I am so grateful to her, Linda, Heather, and Lindsay for making my special day even more special! Tina is an artist. She will literally make your face a work of art. And Linda, she is like a hair sculptor. They are both masters of their craft and I felt very confident that me and my family would look amazing! They were professional and punctual. They heard everyone’s request and executed them flawlessly. For me, I really had no idea what I wanted. I had a bunch of pictures but nothing was clear in my mind on what that would look like on me. Tina and Linda were able to take all of my requests and create a beautiful look. Though pricing is higher than most vendors, we were very glad to have hired Tina and her team! Tina and Linda made me and my bridesmaids feel so beautiful on my wedding day. I especially felt like a princess, and neither my makeup nor hair budged at all the entire day (almost 12 hours)! With this being said, I am extremely thankful I invested in a hair and makeup trial beforehand. Tina is incredibly skilled with her makeup work. With quick, analytic eyes, she is able to personalize all parts of the makeup to suit your face in real time, with little trial and error. Although I was happy overall with the trial, there were some components that I personally wanted to tweak for the wedding day. To my pleasant surprise, Tina was on the same page as me with my requests, and she even made some other helpful suggestions as well. She truly is an expert and really cares about her clients. Linda styled my hair into an effortless updo that was both romantic and clean, just as I had requested. Though we had to try a few different styles at my trial to find the right fit, I was extremely pleased with my hair on the wedding day. Linda is a perfectionist in the best possible way. There wasn’t a single hair out of place, and she took so much care in ensuring that I would look pristine walking down the aisle. We also chose to do the makeup and hair touch ups for my husband. Though only a short time was blocked for each of his services, Tina and Linda still took care in making him look extra handsome and camera ready! Overall, we are very thankful to have worked with Tina and Linda, as they are true experts in their fields and work with their clients to ensure their happiness.

She made suggestions and encouraged me to speak my mind freely, which I'm sometimes too shy to do. She really listened to me to make sure I not only looked my best, but felt my best too. From looking at her Instagram and learning about her experience, I knew I could trust her fully. She is also so personable! She made me, my bridesmaids, and moms laugh and feel so comfortable around her. She is fluent in Korean, which was great for my mothers who don't speak English very well. My hair and makeup looked great and stayed looking great even after my many tears and the crazy wind. If hair and makeup is important to you, hire Tina!

Then, on the day of my wedding, they were the first ones there. As soon as I sat in that chair, I knew I had literally nothing to worry about. Both Tina and Linda had studied my style, facial structure, and preferences leading up to the wedding. And the final look that they created was an actual dream come true. I couldn’t help smiling and exclaiming as they put the finishing touches on both my hair and makeup. I might also add that I have pretty fine hair AND microbladed eyebrows, so I knew I was not their easiest feat. But without one single complaint, they made miracles happen and they UNDERSTOOD THE ASSIGNMENT 100%. Thanks to Tina and Linda, I felt like a confident, beautiful bride AND I love all of the photos that were taken! I will also add that I had 5 bridesmaids and my mother, who also got hair & makeup done by Tina & Linda, and they all looked GORGEOUS. Price: She's expensive, but worth it especially if you have asian features. I'm a frugal person, but when I saw her work vs other people's work on asian faces, I knew I was making the right decision. Tina and her team will make you gorgeous; others might make you look like the matchmaker from Mulan. I've seen this happen too many times, which is why I was very picky about my make-up artist and chose Tina. Make-up: Tina is just incredible at make-up in so many ways that it's impossible to list them all. My make-up stayed in place despite the humidity and the crying. I felt like me but 1000x better. Sara worked on my mom and sister and did an amazing job. I love how we look in our photos. Hair: Linda did exactly what we wanted from the photos provided! Stayed in place the whole time. My friend was very happy with how soft and lightweight her curls looked. She was comparing her hair to previous times she got her hair done and said Linda's work was way better. Communication: Super responsive, easy to talk to. Answered all my questions in a timely manner. Tina will make sure you and her are on the same page. Organization: Very organized. Creates a schedule that works with you and your bridal party. Was actually ahead of schedule on my wedding day! Trial: I did the hair/make-up trial because I wasn't sure what I wanted. Again, if this is in your budget, I highly recommend doing the trial unless you know exactly what you want.

I first found out about Tina through Instagram. Before and after pictures were astounding. The makeups weren’t overly excessive but made significant difference in amplifying one’s beauty. That was exactly what I was looking for. There are many good makeup artists around but if you are looking for Korean style makeup, she is the go-to person in the DMV area. What I mean by Korean style makeup is not excessively done but still covers imperfections and promotes natural makeup style. Tina is a really talented makeup artist. She has a very personal and friendly personality as well. The whole process from booking to preparing us with the wedding day timeline was very helpful, timely and seamless. They basically bring the whole studio to the place where you are getting ready for your big day. Highly recommend!

Tina and her team accommodated myself, 9 bridesmaids, and 2 moms in one day AND managed to stay on schedule. It was just such a relaxing time knowing we were in good hands. I worked with Shine Tina twice, once for my engagement photoshoot and a few weeks ago for my wedding. Tina is the best makeup artist I have ever had the pleasure of working with! My makeup was so beautiful and absolutely flawless. She was great at listening to my vision and created my look exactly how I wanted it. I'm VERY particular about makeup, so the fact that I didn't want to change anything about my final look is seriously saying something! I'm usually fixing something when working with other artists. On top of that, wedding stress wreaked havoc on my skin and I broke out like I was a teenager again. She masterfully covered up all my blemishes and made me look flawless. I booked Tina for makeup for me and my 6 bridesmaids. Tina is super professional, her work is beautiful, and she's really fun to talk to! She is extremely knowledgeable about makeup and beauty, and really takes the time to customize the look to what best suits you and what you want. I'm a complete make-up and hair novice so I wanted a professional instead of doing it myself. I really liked Tina's natural, Korean-style, and dewy-look that I saw on her Instagram. I was adamant about wearing my glasses during the wedding, and Tina was able to accommodate that. My bridesmaids did not wear glasses so they got fake eyelashes, which mostly held up throughout the night. I really liked that Tina and Linda came early and brought all the supplies they needed to our hotel suite including special make-up chairs and lighting. Speaking to some other wedding party members, they thought the prices were a bit too high, but I was very thankful to hire someone with her experience. Overall, I was very happy with the service. My mother and I arrived at Tina's studio and we rang her front doorbell. Her husband kindly re-directed us to the back where the entrance of her studio is. Her studio is newly renovated and it's beautiful! Tina did my mom's hair first then my hair. She then finished my mom's makeup and did mine. She knows how to highlight and enhance the natural beauty. Everyone loved my makeup!
