Prior to the wedding, Sheila sent us a very detailed Run of Show, which I shared with my family and guests so there are no surprises. On the day of, I literally had no worries, because I knew Sheila was there to take care of everything, from ensuring the florists arrive on time at the ceremony and reception venues, coordinating the arrival of the musicians, making sure the table setting was laid out exactly as I wanted, etc... If there were any questions at all, Sheila and I got in touch via text the entire time. She then stayed for clean-up after the reception to make sure everything that needed repackaging was intact and sent back to us. Because of Sheila and her attention to detail and hard work that day, our dream wedding day was perfect! It's exactly and more than we imagined it to be. Can't thank her enough!

The BRICK was horrible at providing direction throughout the process and we made the mistake of waiting to hire a coordinator (we should have done it WAY earlier), but when Katie began assisting with the coordination it lifted a huge amount of stress off both myself and my wife. Katie communicated directly with all of the vendors, including the contact at the BRICK who had not been helpful to myself or my wife throughout the process. Katie was organized, very professional, and so sweet and we loved working with her. Everything went off without a hitch on the day of the wedding and no detail was left unattended. Katie worked closely with the DJ to make sure everything progressed smoothly over the course of the reception and handled all of the vendor coordination throughout the event. As mentioned above, we would absolutely recommend Shine, and especially Katie, for your wedding planning and coordination!

We originally had hired another wedding planner who disappeared without a word 3 months prior to our wedding!! In a panic we reached out to our amazing photographer who without hesitation recommending Sheila and her team. The minute I spoke with Sheila I knew right away that we were in good hands. She made me feel heard and put my mind at ease knowing that her team would be by our sides. We were so lucky to have Katie Lanning assigned as our wedding coordinator!! We paid for ‘month-of’ services, however, Sheila and Katie were happy to help with all the details in the months leading up to our wedding!! They were even so kind to share their private numbers so that we could call or text anytime we had questions or just wanted to run something by them. I was the type of bride who had an idea of what I wanted and how I imagined our wedding to look, however, I needed the patient guidance that Sheila and Katie provided to make my dream wedding come to life. On the night of the rehearsal, Katie was so patient and sweet to our families (who can be much at times LOL). She spent time going over the plan with everyone, answered all of our questions and concerns, and was happy to go over it as many times as we needed until we felt comfortable. On the day of, Katie was AMAZING. Honestly, I could not have imagined the day going smoother. I literally had nothing to worry about!! Katie coordinated with all of our vendors, made sure we and our families knew where to be and were on time, and did ALL of the decorations (wedding arch, cocktail hour, and our reception cite). When I walked into our reception site for the first time it took my breath away. Her ability to take my ideas and bring them to life was just amazing. It was exactly how I pictured it and even more beautiful!! She took time to make sure all the little details that were so important to us took place. At the end of the night she packed up all of our decorations and even made sure that our cake was brought to our room in a separate fridge!!! I was not stressed once during our wedding day and I have Katie to thank for that. Every guest at our wedding could not stop talking about how amazing the day was and everyone was especially so impressed with Katie!! She was professional, kind, calm, and composed the entire night and got along with everyone who was there. I could go on and on!!! Please, do yourself a favor and hired Sheila and her team. She’s organized, on time, and very thorough. She took care of everything on the day-of and we didn’t stress at all. Prior to our wedding weekend, our venue informed us of some scheduling issues that could possibly affect our set-up but Sheila did not let us stress at all. In the middle of the reception, there was an issue with the dance floor breaking apart. I saw that she was on top of it and handling it with the venue staff so we did not have to stop dancing or deal with any issues. She was just the absolute best. She stayed until the very end, ensuring that the décor and gifts were packaged and brought back to our room. We cannot say enough great things about Sheila. Highly recommend her!!

t. First off we were planning our La Jolla wedding from Canada and Sheila was great in answering any questions we had and replied to all our emails promptly. This was very important for us as we were planning our wedding from so far away. Sheila would also reach out to us and asked us questions to make sure we were prepared for our big day. Prior to the wedding Sheila also came out to La Jolla to do our venue walk through and rehearsal. She came prepared with questions. The day of the wedding Sheila was timely, organized and professional. There was a few hiccups as there is with every wedding but Sheila was so amazing that I did not even know about them until after the wedding. Sheila checked in with us throughout the day to make sure we ate and that we had all our needs attended to, on top of making sure everything happened on schedule. Sheila also decorated our ceremony, cocktail and reception area and did an amazing job as everything looked great and she made my vision a reality. Lastly, Sheila's pricing for her services are more than reasonable, she did not hesitate to work with me to come up with a price and package that met our budget and needs. I would hire Sheila as our wedding planner in a heart beat if I did not want to be involved in all the details of planning a wedding and would have no doubt she would do an amazing job as a full on planner as well. We then met at our venue and we decided where everything should go and she even helped us with our ceremony rehearsal.
