to work with and made the day go smoothly! Rina came by the house the morning of the wedding to pick up last-minute decorations and dropped off the bouquets. She and her assistant made sure that the venue looked perfect and I didn’t need to worry about anything! We also used Shining Time as our florist, and I’m so pleased that we went with her services! The flowers were amazing - so beautiful! I just told Rina what my inspiration was (and sent her some photos of centerpieces from their website) and the result was wonderful! They looked like they were right out of an English garden! We did not want to spend too much on flowers and she kept everything within our budget, and she repurposed the large ceremony flowers into the reception venue.

Ahead of our first call, we sent a long document outlining the ideas we had--which she looked through and gave us useful feedback on as we considered what support we needed most. We had some unique ideas for how to do things our own way--and it was also clear from our conversation, that while Rina knows how to do a "textbook" wedding--she also knows how to listen to clients to help them make their unique vision a reality, even if that requires some creative thinking, crafting, or problem solving. When we did our venue walkthrough a month before the event, we sent Rina another long document, floorplan, and schedule the day before--and she once again arrived familiar with all of it. She had crucial suggestions, important questions we hadn't thought of, and proved again she was the right person to help us get prepared for the big day. That pattern repeated once more at rehearsal which was very efficient! The day of our wedding, Rina was punctual, professional, and in expert control running the show we had put together. She had already connected with all of our vendors, reviewed all the decorations we designed and how they set up, and was fully familiar with the timeline. When the inevitable surprises popped up, she was quick to roll with the punches--in a way that kept our plans on track! The entire event was not just beautiful, unique, and exactly the vibe we had envisioned--but it was also EXACTLY ON SCHEDULE, from set up to the paper lantern send off at the end! We are thoroughly impressed, and can't recommend Rina highly enough! She was our not so secret weapon. Let her be yours too! And make no mistake, while we had Rina as our month-of-coordinator--we would have absolutely hired Rina to take on the entire thing if we hadn't enjoyed planning so much (and even then, we couldn't have finished the plans without her input!). I will also say, having planned so much ourselves, it really made it very personal to us that the schedule we made, the decorations we crafted, and the timeline we envisioned were faithfully executed. It was so personal, that I thought it would be hard to hand off our cherished plan to someone else. Who could know it as well as us or care as much? But every conversation with Rina made letting go easy, because it was so clear she was listening to us, and understanding us. There is no one else we would've trusted with our plan except Rina.

inal proposal. Rina made sure to capture the whimsical garden party vibe that I was envisioning for the wedding florals and on the wedding day I felt like I was in a dream. Rina was professional and responsive throughout the planning process. Any time I added more florals or changed my vision, including wanting to slightly alter the color scheme close to the wedding day, she was accommodating. Shining Time provided all florals, LED candles of different sizes/types, and beautiful vases for our wedding. Our tablescapes were breathtaking - the Shining Team outdid themselves setting up the reception tent to make every table unique. We heard staff wowing at the tables. The ceremony also felt like a fairy tale with the unique flower arch that Shining Time’s team created. We were able to repurpose ceremony flowers for the reception which was both economical and resourceful. My bouquet was also the most beautiful bouquet I’ve ever seen. So many vendors told me it was one of their favorite bridal bouquets all season. If you are looking for a florist for your wedding day, I truly can’t recommend Shining Time enough.

hings; they had all information collected in their master sheet and folder, which made things a lot easier especially when we’ve had information and communications from all vendors and questions from our wedding parties. Theorina reminded us of our to do list items frequently during the process too. What impressed me the most is when the weddings over, all the decorations, stickers for guest books and gifts/cards were collected carefully and neatly instead of just being stuffed in a random bag by the team. This detail tells a lot, especially considering how exhausted everyone was at that point. Also very great price (definitely lower than the average price of wedding planners in the dmv area). We used the florists from the same team and they are amazing as well!!!! The flower arrangements are fabulous, even better than I expected. We mentioned, in the meeting with the florist, that we tried to control the budget under $4,000 so they agreed to use fewer real flowers but would still present the elegance and variety. The final outcome was beyond our imagination. The colors, layers, flower selections and combination of real and artificial flowers have fulfilled our wish for a fall-themed warm wedding. Definitely would recommend to every couple :)))

stunning, with the bouquets especially being incredible. Everyone commented on how beautiful the flowers were. We went with 40% re-usable flowers mixed in with fresh flowers (the bouquets being all fresh flowers) and it was gorgeous. Her silk flowers blended in so well I couldn't tell which were real and which were fake. This was especially amazing as it helped us get as many flowers as we wanted while staying in budget. Rinna even stayed and helped us clean up the reception and to ensure she got her flowers and vases back, which was amazing that we did not have to worry about that part. I could not recommend this florist more.

We cannot thank Shinning Time enough! They were dedicated and brought our ideas and vision to life. From the start to finish, they tirelessly worked hard to ensure that everything would go smoothly. The attention to details, the design, and the execution of how everything turned out was beyond our expectations. Our wedding ceremony and reception are are two different locations. Shine designed both events from beginning to finish. Both Rina and Shine made us feel like a VIP and made our lives SO much easier during the wedding planning process and the wedding day itself. They were very helpful and resourceful. They created so many beautiful memories for us. As a bride, I could be picky and anxious, but every single detail they did so perfectly and was right on point. The whole wedding day we just laughed and enjoyed, not having to worry about anything because we know we are in good hands of theirs. It was very easy to communicate with them if we needed to make adjustments or special requests. I would send them so many messages and emails every week and they always replied within hours with THE answers we needed. They made sure that we had all the information that we needed beforehand. During the wedding day, Shining Time and the team executed the plan perfectly. Thank you, Rina, Shine and team again for such professionalism and hospitality!! My husband was most impressed with the decor and wanted to take the flowers home to keep in our backyard because the arrangements were so pretty!

at our wedding, the overall theme, and the colors we preferred, and Rina was incredibly responsive in helping us create an Asian-inspired design. She was thorough in her communication to ensure our ideas aligned, and she quickly sketched her ideas on her iPad and provided us with helpful visual references. On the day of the wedding, we were absolutely thrilled with the finished product—the centerpieces, ceremony arch, and other elements were so stunning that all of our guests commented on them! We are so glad that we chose Shining Time to do our wedding design.

I can really say great things and how professional her team is. She is always ready to help and makes her available as soon as possible to listen to my thoughts and questions. The designer Shine got my vision right on the spot through the first design sketch. I was worried that my descriptions are too vague, but she nailed it! Their team was so attentive to every detail, and the wedding went smoothly while my husband and I were relaxed and enjoying the whole day! We got so many compliments on our decoration, especially they were amazed by the large handmade orchid at our ceremony, the shape, the color and the styling, everything was so perfect! All my guests had positive comments on their experience that day, and all of us had a great time!
