She even calmed me down throughout the day when I got stressed out. My bridal party and our parents have constantly commented on how wonderful Cindi is and how great she is at her job! facebook and website, but honestly the biggest thing I was looking for in a photographer was someone that I could trust to get the pictures that I wanted and have everything under control so that I wouldn't worry about anything on the big day. Cindi totally delivered in this department. We went over everything ahead of time from the timeline of the day , to the different shots I wanted with my husband, bridal party, and our families. On our wedding day, Cindi was awesome. We had so much fun taking our pictures and I didn't have to worry at all about missing out on anything. Cindi was also extremely fun to work with starting from our engagement pictures. We had so much fun and got some amazing shots. She also can use the engagement pictures to make a fun, interactive guest book for your guests to answer questions about you as a couple instead of just signing their names. I loved having this fun book. I could keep writing forever there are so many good things to say about Cindi. She was so easy and fun to work with. She made many parts of our wedding planning process fun and easy and I loved having her there on the big day capturing all off our memories and taking a lot of stress off of me! Highly recommend her to any bride!

Even before the wedding, Cindi had so many good ideas throughout the planning process, and she seemed to truly care about me and my groom. I was a little worried because my husband does not like taking pictures; I told Cindi and she told me not to worry. And she was right!! She got him to do really well and he enjoyed the session! She found the perfect field of bluebonnet and tall grass exactly what I was going for. We decided to also include our 2 dogs for this session and she was great at getting their attention and got the perfect pictures. Cindi made a guestbook out of the engagment pictures that turned out better than I ever imagined!! I got so many compliments on it!! By the time my wedding day came I felt like I had known Cindi for years (much better than a stranger following you around all day taking pictures of you). We met several times at her studio to go over all the details of the wedding, our families, and what kind of pictures you want. She has soooo many great ideas!! But Cindi handled it all with no complaints, ill feelings or mean words - only kindness and genuine love for her work, and her customers. I couldn't explain how I wanted some pictures too look - and I kept trying to tell her in ways that just confused everyone.... myself included... but Cindi took me back to her office and went through a ton of different picture styles to find the perfect one.... now that is someone who cares. She really is a perfectionist - which is amazing because then when bridals, and wedding day pictures come around you never have to worry if she will capture that special moment - because she will. She is extremely organized, and will do above and beyond. I can't imagine anyone else doing my pictures. I always said man Cindi your pictures are always so different - each and every person have different designs/poses/props etc. and she replied - that's because every person who I shoot is different, and unique - I will never be that cookie cutter photographer.... and that goes to show you how truly creative and amazing she really is. Oh, and also - when I had to do my engagements - the place I was planning on going too ended up not working out and before I could even muster up the chance to cry.... she had already sent, called and talked to different venues for me to help me pick another. I couldn't believe it. And we ended up at a historic courthouse that I didn't even know existed - and got some one of a kind pictures. I can't say enough and can't thank her enough for documenting our special day. Totally worth your time, and money - trust me you will not regret it. Thank you Cindi!!!!! . I had so many compliments on how patient she was during our family photos after our ceremony. Cindi was very accommodating when it came to arranging our engagement session and any meetings. Every meeting I had with her, I never felt like she was rushing me or I wasting her time. She was so organized through out the whole process. Since Cindi was able to help me with my timeline for the day of the wedding, I never felt stressed about time or worried about not getting all the pictures I wanted. Also, our guest book she made was awesome! It was very unique and personalized to my fiancé and I. I could not have asked for a better photographer. And to top it off she had Cari stay my entire reception to make sure there were not any pictures missed. I definitely recommend Cindi! I will be using her for all my future photos as well. Then my reception hall had a Bridal Show and she was there. It was meant to be, after meeting her there we setup an appointment but secretly I really liked her. I brought my mother (who is stubborn) and we literally set there talking for 2 hours, BY CHOICE!! Cindi is everything you want in a photographer, she made a very difficult decision simple. Please take my advice and save yourself the headache and the stress, she is worth every penny and more!! I'll explain: I selected the wedding package that included engagements, bridals, boudoirs and the wedding. In speaking with Cindi, she'll ask you what kind of theme you have in your mind. She'll ask about your family and things that are special to you and your fiance. She knows how to take ordinary wedding pictures and make them unique to each individual couple. My husband can be difficult and has a VERY short attention span. We did our engagements first and he wanted our 1 yr old puppy to join in...as a fur-mommy I was cringing inside, but this was important to him. Cindi and her husband John really made this outdoor session perfect and we have the pictures to prove it. Cindi will tell you what to hold and what to move, chin up or chin down, arm forward or back, hold her don't strangle her! She will also pick up on sweet candid photos, the little things that make you a couple. You'll think in your head or whisper it to your fiance that this can't look right, then she'll stop and show you what she's capturing...then you immediately stop questioning her artistic ability. Instantly, I'm serious!! It's the whole "a picture speaks a thousand words" feeling, then you get this confidence and move your arm where-ever she says :) Then I did the boudoir session as a surprise gift to my fiance on our wedding day! I had no idea what to do, but she sets up the location and it's awesome (plus free of charge). So...umm, I've never done this before and she made me feel completely at ease. Basically, I told her to make me look gorgeous and she did. She will tell you how to start to get more comfortable with this weird situation. Then by the end of the session you are this sexy tigress/lingerie model that is also getting married!! Don't wait until your 1st (Paper) Anniversary, he'll love it because it's you! Next come bridals, which I changed the location probably about 7 times. I know, but when you are trying to pay for a wedding spending money on a location to take pictures sounds silly. Cindi really helped me out with this decision and battled the rainy month of May. After sending me all the info, I went with the Hickory Street Annex in Dallas and it was worth it. The wedding was crazy, probably everything that could've gone wrong did! UGH...not my photographer though!!! Cindi, Carrie and John were the one thing that I could count on. She helped me organize the schedule of the day and when that went hell the day of, she helped me keep calm and reschedule. Our neighbors actually booked Cindi from hearing all the good things we said about her. If you can take one thing from my review, please understand that I have a photographer for life. I will always use Shooting Starr Photography, she proved her worth!

While shooting our engagment photos, I decided I wanted my two dogs in my save the date picture. One of which was an 8 month old puppy, who was not the most cooperative. Cindi was very patient and determined to get the picture I wanted, even when I was ready to give up! Choosing Cindi as my wedding photographer was one of the best decisions I made in my wedding planning process. We talked to her having only a month a half prior our wedding and she was able to do everything on time and nicely, we did not worry about anything on our wedding day as she had everything under control. rson I've ever met (that's a big statement for me b/c prior to meeting Cindi, I gave myself that title). She was SO organized that on the Big Day, I felt like she was my second day-of coordinator. Before meeting Cindi, we had met with 3 other photographers, and spoken with several others. We were absolutely blown away by her presentation. It was by far the most put together and informative conversation we'd had to date. Her pricing was very reasonable, and on par with what she offers. And actually, after seeing how hard she works to make us happy, I feel she could easily justify raising her prices. She truly does EVERYTHING within her power to get everything that is important to you. I did a bridal boudoir session as a part of the package we purchased, and it was an incredible experience. It was definitely a little weird at first, being half dressed and attempting to be sexy...but Cindi was so great at giving direction and telling me exactly where/how to stand, where/how to place my hands, feet, where to look, etc., that about half way through I felt like a full blown model!! Her confidence in how great the pictures looked gave me confidence while taking the pictures. She was fun, upbeat, energetic, and made me feel so comfortable. And my husband couldn't be happier with the results ;) . A few weeks prior to our wedding, we got together with Cindi to start getting an idea of what pictures would need to be taken on the wedding day. I will admit, it's A LOT to do, and it seems a little overwhelming at first, but it's not Cindi's first rodeo! She walked us through every single line on her piece of paper and explained why it's important, how it's usually done, and what could be done (outside the norm) for us that would fit our situation. I cannot emphasize enough how much her detailed organization helped!!!! The wedding day ended up not really going as planned at all (outdoor ceremony + thunderstorms = sopping wet wedding party & guests, also = power going out during dinner, but we still got married and that's the point!), and if Cindi didn't have all her notes and details, I really think the day could've turned into a disaster. But b/c she knew exactly what was an absolute must, what was a preference, and what was not truly a necessity, she was able to quickly reassess, regroup, and gather people to get pictures. In addition to a rather fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants ceremony, revised locations for picture taking, and power outages, she also got to deal with my family. The simple fact that there are 4 sides to my family already makes it a challenge. The fact that my dad and stepmother had just ended a rather unpleasant divorce complicated things considerably. But Cindi didn't miss a beat. She was so on top of it & so in charge that they didn't even have time to throw each other a dirty look! She was very aware of the situation and took steps to ensure the picture taking process would not be slowed due to tensions. THAT was such an enormous weight off my shoulders!!!! All in all, I cannot say enough about Cindi's SUPERB performance!! She is truly a professional - straightforward, honest, trustworthy, punctual, and always polite. Plus, she is such a sweetheart!! We really enjoyed her!!

he was the first and only photographer we interviewed, I was sold right away not only by her skill but by her wonderful personality. We chatted for a while and I felt as though I knew her for ever, I was so comfortable with her! She is very organized and has an itinerary that she sticks to and makes sure we accomplish every single picture we desired. I have a large family and both of my parents are remarried so I wanted pictures with each set of my family and the grooms family and she made sure that happened. Her assistant, Rebecca, was also helpful and attentive to anything she could be shooting or helping with. They got my 10 month old son to look and smile (well almost) at each and every picture even when he was getting overwhelmed. Weddings can be chaotic and stressful, but one thing I never once stressed about was the photographers. They made the day easy and smooth while ensuring that I got each picture that we wanted! Cindi, Rebecca, and her husband John make an amazing team and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone that I know getting married soon. Our wedding had many sentimental aspects such as my mother's dress and great-grandmother's coat; Cindi made sure she knew every single thing that was significant before the wedding. During the ceremony I didn't even know the photographers were there, and they were still able to capture everything! Incredible! Her pictures, layout books, guest books, and little "mailer card inserts" are the cutest - and add an extra classic touch at the reception, church and thank you cards following the wedding. I got so many "wows" during the wedding as guests were admiring the displayed pictures. We had such a hard time deciding what pictures to order, because all of them just turned out fantastic. Cindi is doing our family photos as well, and I could not be more excited. Her happy, uplifting spirit and attitude makes picture taking more personal, and fun. I enjoy working with Cindi - as she is so organized and prepared - it takes so much stress and worrying away! On a day of a special event the last thing you want to do is worry about your vendors - you definitely don't have to worry about Cindi - she is awesome, get's the job done and on top of things! When you work with Cindi, you are more than just a client. You become a friend, as she takes the time to really personalize every picture to fit the unique details of each person she is shooting. My daughters are very different, and like different things/styles (typical), and both of them love Cindi - as she took to the time to sit and create each separate event, learning about each of the girls in their own ways. Very creative, funny, caring, compassionate woman. I can't wait to see my second daughters pictures, and our family pictures - I know they will be just wonderful. Cindi will continue to be our go to photographer.

All of a sudden, the pictures started to come up on screen.... and literally tears came to my eyes. My sister's photos were gorgeous. Cyndi had taken the most breath taking pictures of my sister, and I was in awe in how great she was in capturing my sister. Each picture was unique, and carefully planned to provide the best pictures. Between my sister, mom and myself - it took forever to actually pick a few we liked, because they all were amazing. (PS her engagements were awesome, and we had just as hard of a time picking those pictures too!!) The wedding day finally came. Cyndi had everything ready to go, organized and flowing beautifully. Cyndi was prompt, and polite, as well as her ancillary photographer's there that day. After that experience, my family has/and will continue to use Shooting Starr for all of our other pictures. We are getting our family photos done in a month, my engagements, bridals, and wedding day pictures are also going to be done by Shooting Starr. Cyndi, is NOT your cookie cutter-shoot the same pose with every bride/family type of photographer. Cyndi, is very detailed oriented, which pays off tremendously when it comes to how she takes pictures. She actually LISTENS, and therefore, her shots reflect YOU, YOUR wishes, and YOUR personality. I am an extremely difficult person to please, as I always have to have things perfect - and let me tell you I was beyond pleased with Cyndi's work. She truly has a passion for creating memories - as is very evident in her eagerness to please, and perfect every picture for you and your family.
