Shores did such an amazing job preserving my wedding dress! It’s beautifully placed in a box with a clear plastic window so the dress can still be seen. They gave me a report with pictures indicating that all stains were removed before preserving it. Highly recommend this company for wedding dress preservation!
My daughter chose to wear my wedding dress for her wedding on October 27th. After alerations, we brought the dress to Shore’s to be pressed. They took great care with a vintage dress and had it ready earlier than they had estimated. She looked beautiful on her special day. I highly recommend Shore’s Fine Dry Cleaning and plan to use them to preserve the wedding dress.
My wedding dress has a lot of layers and I knew it was going to be a tedious job. I would only let the best of the best touch it. After days of narrowing down places, I chose Shores Fine Dry Cleaning. They did an amazing job with my dress! I could not have asked for anything more! I would highly recommend them.

Wonderful Service! Brian restored my mom's 30 year old bridal gown which was stained and discolored from improper storage to perfect, white condition! Linda altered the dress to make it fit me perfectly and modernize it. Couldn't be happier with the service we received!
Brian & the team at Shore's are such a pleasure to work with and the most professional & knowledgeable! I wouldn't have thought to take my dress anywhere else.
I picked up my wedding dress after having it altered. Everyone there was very nice. During he 2nd to last fitting I had with Linda, we discussed adding a hem to the outer layer of my dress. She said if she just cuts it, it may unravel. She repeatedly stated that it would be a pain to do a hem, but I confirmed that I would like a hem (because I don't want my dress to unravel). I came in for my final fitting and saw that she did NOT hem the bottom of the dress. I took my dress home and I am so glad I did, because after looking closely at the bottom, you can see that it was cut very hastily, and very uneven. The hem on the inside layer is messy as well. After sending them an email, they offered to fix everything for no cost. I won't be returning there due to the quality of the work that was done.

My name is Brian Harrell and I am the GM of Shores Fine Dry Cleaning. I was sorry to hear about your mixed experience last week, and want to reach out to show you we're serious about good customer service. I understand you may not be comfortabl...
e with my seamstress performing further alterations on your gown and rightfully so. If you would like I could provide you with the name of another qualified seamstress. I would also like to refund you for any work you paid for since it was obviously not up to Shores standards. Thank you for your honest review of our services. Brian Harrell (336)725-0077
After investing the money in a beautiful wedding gown for my daughter's May 15, 2016 wedding, it was time to have it cleaned an put away. I found Shores Fine Dry Cleaner in Greensboro NC and talked with them about their services and felt it was worth the money to have her gown cleaned by them. I picked up the gown on June 21, 2016. It was handled with such care and packed away in a nice, neat box. Safe for years to come. Much better than leaving it just hanging on a hanger to lose its shape and turn yellow like I did with my gown 29 years ago. Thanks Shores Dry Cleaners for doing a great job.

Thank You so much!! It was great working with you. Thanks for trusting Shores Fine Dry Cleaning to preserve your beautiful gown.
Very personal service and seemed to care about cleaning and preserving our daughter's gown and veil. Highly recommend.
My bridal gown was taken to Shores Fine Dry Cleaning and they did an awesome, fabulous, fantastic, job. I was so pleased. It was prettier than when I purchased the dress. I was in awe. What an awesome job!!!!
I was lucky enough for my wedding gown to fit well. However, my dress had sleeves, and they gaped a little around the shoulders, and were a bit tight at the elbows. Linda took the seam out at the sleeves and tightened around the shoulders. She also added a bustle to my dress. This was the only thing that wasn't perfect - she added ties to the dress that were supposed to tie together and bustle the dress. The bustle looked fine, but the ties did not stay tied, no matter what we did... my dress had to be re-bustled three times during the wedding.
Despite the issue with the bustle, I would definitely recommend Linda for any alterations work you need done.
I bought my wedding dress at Diva's. They wanted to send it to New York, to be cleaned and preserved. The thought of that scared me to death. After searching and reading reviews online, I went to Shore's on Battleground. I am so glad I did. Everyone there was so nice and they did a great job cleaning and preserving my dress.
Shores Fine Dry Cleaning and Wedding Gown Specialists did an amazing job cleaning my gown prior to my wedding. The skirt of my dress was my mom's and was more than 35 years old, the top was handmade by her. The skirt looked beautiful and they got out almost all of the stains that had been sitting there for so many years. The top was clearly handled with care! They were fantastic!
There was no other place I would have trusted to care for the cleaning of my daughters gown. Shores has had a long history in our community for taking extra special care of those special items that will become keepsakes. I really was elated when I picked up the dress and found they had brought it back to pre-wedding/party beautiful!
I used Shores fine Dry Cleaning for all of my clothing care for years when I lived in Winston-Salem...and they took such great care of my clothes that I even mailed them to Brian for dry cleaning when I moved away to Huntersville! I also had my first wedding dress - a slipper satin Vera Wang - cleaned and preserved with them in 2006...I later sold the dress and the bride who wore it said it was so greatly cared for that it was as though she had a perfectly new dress. For my second (and LAST!)wedding dress, I knew Shores had to be the ones to take care of it as well. Brian and all again provided the highest level of customer service and professionalism...I mailed the dress from Atlanta and just received it last night...again perfectly and beautifully packed and sealed. The dress is a beautiful and very delicate Vera Wang with layers of tulle and horse hair and a horse hair sash...I'm grateful to know it was in good hands and now I can save it as a treasured keepsake and memory from our wedding. Many, many thanks to Brian and the awesome Shores team...I absolutely could not recommend them more highly!
My daughter has always wanted to wear the wedding dress that I wore and that my mother wore. It was made by my grandmother as well and a real heirloom to us. When the time came for her to use it we pull it out of the box only to find some huge brown stains all over it. I thought the dress was ruined! We took it to Shores and Brian looked at it. He said he would be able to get it clean with their special restoration process. I was a little concerned because the dress is 55 years old but they did an amazing job. The stains were gone and the dress was whiter then when I wore it! Brian and his staff could not have been more pleasant to work with. From cleaning to altering and now preserving for the next generation, I highly recommend Shores Dry Cleaners! You will be very happy!
I had my wedding gown cleaned and preserved by Shores several years ago. The service that they provide is wonderful and at a very reasonable price. I would definitely recommend Shores to any bride wanting to preserve their gown. You will not find a friendlier staff anywhere else.
My wedding was 10 years ago and I had put off getting my dress cleaned and preserved. I finally took it to Shores and could not be happier. The service was excellent and everything was done in a timely manner. The staff was wonderful to work with. I would highly recommend Shores to any bride.
My sister recommended Shores Fine Dry Cleaning for last-minute alterations on my bridesmaid's dress, and they did a fabulous job! Not only were the alterations finished on time and correctly, the staff was friendly and helpful as well. I highly recommend Shores if you need to get a dress altered or cleaned! The manager and staff are very knowledgeable about clothing-- especially dresses!-- and helped me out a lot. Thanks!
Great experience with Brian and Linda in Winston while having my wedding dress altered and cleaned. With being so busy planning a wedding it's important for things to go smoothly and Shores understands that. They made sure I got what I wanted and needed completed in a timely manner.
I purchased my dress from David's and wasn't overly satisfied with their alterations. During my bridal portrait session, I quickly realized I would need additional alterations or my guest would see more of me than I would prefer!
I chose Shores because they have an excellent reputation! I worked with Linda and she was very professional and assured me I would have my dress on time. Sure enough, my dress was ready in time for the wedding and they even "fixed" some of the shabby work the other company had done. I couldn't have asked for more from this team! I now use them for all of my dry cleaning services!
I had my wedding gown cleaned and preserved at Shores and they did an amazing job! My dress had just been hanging in a spare bedroom since the wedding and I had failed to notice it had a huge stain on the train. I called around many different places and they all said the stain probably wouldn't come out b/c it had sat for too long. Shores was the only place I called that was willing to take a look at the dress and see what they could do. The employees were all extremely friendly and showed me around the store while explaining the process/stages and different types of gown preservation. Needless to say, they were able to get the stain out of my dress and did a perfect job preserving it! Shores service and expertise is definitely well worth the money paid and I would highly recommend them!
Friendly, professional service. Service was performed in a timely fashion. I highly recommend Shores to anyone, and would definitely use Shore's again!
I purchased my gown at a sample sale and it didn't quite fit as I wanted it to for my big day. The seamstress at the Winston-Salem location added a corset (hand-made the loops, I might add) and hemmed the dress to the perfect length. I was able to wear the dress of my dreams confidently on my big day! I would definitely recommend Shore's for your alteration and pressing needs.
Shores Fine Dry Cleaning did an awesome job on my dress for our rehearsal dinner as well as a perfect job on my wedding dress. They did an awesome job steaming & pressing the dress and then they stuff it and get it all ready for you so all you have to do is step into it.
I used Shores because I borrowed my dress from a friend who had her gown preserved there. Because of this, the first time I had it pressed they did it for free. That really helped out. I didn't end up using them to re-preserve the gown, however, because they are a bit pricey for my budget. Overall, they offer excellent service.
Drove 35 minutes to take my dress here because it was a certified wedding dress cleaners. When I got there they quoted me the cost (over $450), but I'd already driven that far, so I just ate the cost and left it. If I had a clue it would be that much I NEVER would have gone there - especially because they asked where I bought my dress and then informed me that I'd pay a premium based on that. His exact words were "If it was a David's dress it would be a bit less, but it's not." He then said something about how I paid more for it, so I should understand paying more to preserve it.
I had it cleaned and preserved, so I really don't have any idea of how clean it is (because it's boxed), but the box they use does at least have a clear panel, with some of my gown showing, so I know it's in there. They appear very reputable, so I have no reason to suspect it wasn't the best of service. I was simply unpleasantly surprising by the pricing, given that other cleaners would do the same for about $200 less.
Everytime I tried to get an appt to see someone about cleaning my dress the girl on the phone was always always rude. When I finally got in to see them and told them I just had a little dirt at the bottom from bridal portraits they told me it would take 2-3 weeks to get it clean. I was 3 weeks away from my wedding and didn't want to take that chance but did anyway. when I got the dress back the dirt was still there! but yet I had to pay an arm & a leg for their 'services'. I would have done better getting a tide pen and doing it myself!
perfect work!
Oh my goodness, the price to have a dress cleaned was enough to buy another dress!! Great job but it was just so pricely!!
Cleaned perfectly & treated the gown with kid-gloves. Worth the money.
