wn that night than finding out over three months later that there were issues that could have easily been taken care of. 99% of the brides that book me make the initial contact and I respond accordingly. I give them time to start coming up with choices & decisions and when they are ready they reach out to me and I respond back to them quickly and we go from there. Your initial contact to me was in January and from that first email to the day of your wedding, you contacted me via email 9 times. In all but one of those emails, I responded back to you the same day. In May you asked if I needed anything and since you hadn’t provided me with information at that point I sent you a “reception planner” that can be found on my web site. I sent this to you May 8thand I received it back 26 days later. The following day I sent you an “outline” based on the information that you provided me and asked that you look it over and make any changes and you sent it back to me completed 8 days later. During the reception your father came up to me and told me to make sure to eat. The only thing that I remember telling him was “thank you for the meal and that I would get something once all guests had gotten their food. I’m not sure what transpired to make both your father and yourself feel uncomfortable. As far as music goes, I try to stick with lists that are provided to me by the bride. In fairness it’s impossible for me to have known what were and were not your favorite songs by each artists. Most brides provide me with a list of songs they like vs giving me artists and telling me to choose. You stated that I would “Not do anything unless the people that were paying me approved of it”. The ONLY conversation that I had with the “people” that paid me went as follows. When your father in law got there he asked if I were the DJ, handed me an envelope and said this is for you. About 15 minutes later, a woman, (your mother in law), asked if her husband had paid me yet. I told her that he had paid me, at which she asked to see the envelope. She proceeded to count the money, remove part of the money and then handed me the envelope and said “my husband paid you too much”, handed the envelope back to me and then turned and walked away. That was literally the ONLY things they said to me all night , which leads me to where I think the wires got crossed…there was a guest that came up to me four times and asked me to play music that I felt would have not worked for your reception. It didn’t fall into a genre that you had listed so I politely told him that I didn’t think it would work. The last time he came up to me I told him that I really needed to stick with the list that I had because the list was provided to me by the people that were paying me. Maybe this guy told somebody and it might have gotten back to your father who then conveyed it to you. I know going into every event that there will be a day where somebody isn’t happy, or completely happy and that they might convey that in a review and again I would like to thank you for using me at your reception and for writing the review.
