Inspired by my own joyful and stress-free wedding day, I founded Shuman Koutory Event & Design with a mission to help couples experience the same ease and happiness. After working for four years planning bridal parties, I launched my own business to bring my passion for luxury weddings, detailed planning, and breathtaking florals to couples everywhere.

DO NOT book Shuman Koutory Events!
I first connected with Ashli in Jan 2024 ahead of my July 2025 wedding.
Initially, she was organized and responsive….until she cancelled less than a week before my wedding day due to a “family emergency”. She made no effort to find a replacement vendor - even though this was explicitly stated in her contract.
I had to pay double the cost to secure a florist 5 DAYS before my wedding.
After promising a full refund within 30 days, she became unresponsive and vague about the timeline she promised.
After 30 days she then told us she would not in fact be refunding our money in full. Instead, she asked us to enter into a payment plan.
We requested written agreement that she would honor the 3 due dates in the payment schedule. Dates that she herself had proposed. After weeks of multiple follow ups she backtracked and refused.
We ended up filing an arbitration claim (again following the terms in her contract.) When the arbitration association requested her signature to proceed with arbitration, she never responded. This forced them to close the claim entirely.
Thankfully, we were able to get our funds back by filing a dispute for unpaid services with American Express.
After 2 months of her flagrant disrespect for our time and money, we were finally able to put this to rest.
Your event, whether it’s a wedding, anniversary, corporate event, deserves a seasoned florist who is well prepared to deal with emergency circumstances. This is not Ashli. Life happens to everyone. But that is no excuse for a business owner to abandon paying clients with no alternative and take advantage of their patience and understanding.
I can’t stress this enough: this is not a business I would ever recommend you partner with. Disappointed is an understatement.
Ashli and Tory were God sent. In the beginning of my planning process I was not interested in having a wedding planner. When we found the venue and it was told to us that a planner was required I still wasn’t too pleased with this idea. I found a planner. We spoke a couple of times and I thought that was that. My original planner sent me a text slightly 2 weeks before my wedding day stating she was no longer available for my wedding day due to unforeseen circumstances… I gave this back story to say I’m sooooo blessed Ashli and Tory were available for our day! They swooped in and performed miracles immediately! They worked with my budget. They knew how pressed for time we were but not once did Ashli allow me to feel overwhelmed. She worked diligently while still ensuring to check on us. The day of was so perfect! So organized, and executed wonderfully! Ashli and Tory embody love within their own relationship and projected that in their work and for us. I appreciate you both more than words can express! Forever grateful. Hvala za sve!!! Ashli was incredible. She was very patient and calming especially to a crazy bride to be. I would diffently recommend her for any entertainment needs. She set up just the right atmosphere we were looking for.
Ashli was amazing! She was always on time and really looked out for our wedding. My wife and I were really concerned about how we would have the wedding in this pandemic. But Ashli really thought about EVERYTHING. Her suggestions were so helpful. Very professional yet made you feel so at ease. Our Halloween themed wedding was everything we could've imagined. I definitely would recommend.
