Burton was the most timely, respectful, professional, prepared, and overall electric DJ we had the absolute pleasure of working with for our wedding day. As we looked for a DJ it was top of mind to have someone who felt comfortable playing all genres of music. Burton seamlessly blended R&B, Hip-hop, Pop, Country, Salsa, Merengue, Bachata… I mean you name it he played it. He kept our guests off their feet the entire night! We also rented a photo booth through him that was an absolute hit with our guests. They provided all the props, and it captured the best high-quality photos. My now husband and I were planning our Miami wedding from a different state, not knowing what to expect. We found DJ Burton from Shut down Productions and what a fantastic job he did!! from start to finish. He listened to all our requests, made the process very easy and he was very accommodating. The music at my wedding was incredibly important to me and my spouse. I am of African American background, and he is Latino. We wanted a DJ that could play both music types and do it well. DJ Burton not only did that but was extremely intuitive to the crowd. Quite a few people commented on DJ Burton’s music selection. With so many aspects to cover for the wedding, having a DJ to assist with entertainment(MC) and awesome music is at the top of the list. I was concerned with choosing a DJ vendor from the list but possibly choosing one that sucks. Well, after researching their website and social media sites, my husband and I made our choice. Burton, our DJ, met with me for an initial consultation to help with choosing songs and then another meeting closer to the wedding, to review our choices and the wedding timeline. Long story short, lol, he did absolutely wonderful. Prompt and attentive. He read the crowd and us the entire night and kept the night flowing. Thank you so much Burton! AMAZING! Burton was more than we could have asked for for our wedding DJ both before the wedding and during. His personality was positive and his skills to match our music likes was effortless. If he didn’t know a song we listed for him he didn’t act like it, he had everything set up perfectly. He met with us via video chat before the wedding to get to know us both and prior to that any question my new husband had he answered immediately through email or phone. It was amazing knowing that we had no stress or worry when it came to Burton as our DJ, we trusted him with our wedding and he delivered ten fold!!! Thank you so much for making our day perfect!

Talk about a party!!! Burton and Al at Shut Down Productions kept our wedding guests involved and the party rockin' all night! Al read the room and the party on the dance floor proved that! I loved that I was able to send them my playlists and song requests for all portions of our day. The cold sparklers were a must-have and created an amazing vibe to start and end our reception! One of my favorite options we chose was the slideshow DJ booth! I included hundreds of photos of us as a couple and with our guests and family and everyone loved seeing those photos play throughout the night. Our guests loved the photobooth and props - there was never a moment where it was empty! Shut Down truly played a huge part in making our day and event a hard one to forget -- from the ceremony audio, to cocktail hour music, introductions, to every detailed moment of the reception was perfectly executed! Best music at a wedding hands down. Music was a huge priority for my husband and I when planning a wedding and DJ AL P absolutely delivered above and beyond. Burton had the party so live my aunties were trying to get him and his assistant to dance with them on the 360 photo booth! Burton made everything easy for me process wise leading up to my wedding. He accommodated my last minute requests for the 360 photo booth with no issue (the 360 photo booth was worth every dollar and you get to keep all the videos). I hired Immanuel to be our DJ for the wedding. It was amazing! He hit the nail on the head, giving us the exact vibe we wanted for the wedding. From Columbiana music to 90's hip-hop, all 145 guests couldn't stop dancing the entire time.

DJ Burton was so patient with me when I completely went off schedule for my wedding. He was easy going and absolutely him calm demeanor helped lower my day of stress. He understood my requests for the playlist and was in tune to my guests 100%! I am 5mo pregnant with swollen feet and ended up dancing most of the night because he had me so hype! I got so many compliments on how great he was and I’m so grateful I found him on theknot.com! Absolutely recommend for your event. We booked DJ services and the digital photo booth which was a huge hit and allowed us to have great photos with our guests!

At our wedding we knew we wanted something that would be interactive and entertain all our guests. The 360 Photo Booth was exactly what we were looking for! We worked with Burton J of Shut Down Productions. He was recommended to us by a friend who had used his DJ services. From our first phone call till the day of the wedding he was very attentive, punctual and answered all of our questions. On the day of our wedding he was the first one there and had everything set up when we walked into the venue. I highly recommend his services! We had glow sticks, Flaming donuts, and a live guitarist but by far the thing that set off the wedding for the guests was the 360 photo booth. It was a great way to bring together the memories of our wedding and have all of our guests interact. Everyone got to keep a custom memory of the event and the following day he sent us over a link with all of the amazing photos that everyone had taken. Had it not been for this we would’ve missed so much because we were running around doing a million things. I can’t recommend his services enough!

Burton from Shut Down Productions absolutely mastered the entire vibe of our reception. He made our night possible from acting as mc during toasts to flawlessly coordinating the last-minute dance locations. When our friends got to the dance floor I think their minds were a little blown. When searching for a DJ we wanted to make sure we didn't hire the traditional wedding DJ that plays full 3-4 min versions of every song and basically presses play on their Spotify playlist. The mashups/setlist was exactly what we were looking for! We had a small wedding of 65 people (half young people, half older crowd) and I was worried people wouldn't be dancing. The dance floor was packed all night. He was able to read the room so well and tailor the music to who was on the dance floor. The next day at our brunch everyone was talking about how amazing the DJ was. We already have family members wondering how they can book Burton for their events in Texas!! If you're like me, you probably read through all of these reviews and are wondering if Shut Down Productions are too good to be true... I can tell you every review lives up to the hype. Do yourself a favor and go ahead and book them!!

DJ Burton was the the absolute best DJ for my wedding. My guests are still raving about how good the music was. He knew exactly how to read the crowd and there was NEVER a dull moment. Burton was very helpful in terms of offering everything and then some we needed entertainment wise for our wedding, He's a pro DJ live mixer & provides a great MC to help run the show. Love his attitude and working with him. One thing we wish was paid a bit more attention to; we sent him a playlist of 120+ songs of what we'd like played at our wedding (obviously didn't expect everything to be played, but there were a good amount of songs played that weren't on our playlist.. wish our song selection was better utilized/prepared) BUT it still was a great dance-a-thon. Even played some great indie/emo jams my wife prepared & wanted for a good nostalgic 30 minute dance off with friends. All in All- would use again and refer to anyone in need of a great DJ & person to work with! Thanks Burton!

Just wow! Absolutely blown away by DJ Burton J who was the undisputed MVP of our wedding. We game planned a few days before our wedding regarding the sound we were going for and DJ Burton J understood what we wanted and flawlessly executed. I found DJ Burton from the reviews here and other websites so I knew I had to write a review for him. Hands down the ABSOLUTE BEST! I have eclectic music taste and didn't want typical wedding music...we had a couple of chats but I didn't give him a huge must play song list and HE KILLED IT! We spent most of the night on the dance floor and EVERYONE was talking about how great the music was (even the older crowd). I would recommend DJ Burton without hesitation and he really made my wedding extra special!! The reviews are right, do not keep looking and just book him!!

Not only are Burton and his team extremely professional, they are a group of talented individuals that really know how to start the party and keep the party going! Shut Down is the perfect name for this DJ because they truly shut it down! We worked with Burton, the owner of Shut Down Productions, for our 225 person cocktail-style wedding celebration. We got married with only our families earlier in the week and hosted a Miami Nights themed celebration on a Saturday night. Our goal was to host a party that was fun enough to justify having 100+ out-of-towners fly in for just one night, and we chose Shut Down Productions to DJ that party. WOW, did they deliver! Burton and his MC kept the energy high throughout the evening and did such a great job that I overheard several local guests approach them and ask for a business card so they could hire them in the future. The icing on the cake was the last song... The MC got everyone onto the dance floor expecting a slow, romantic song, and then our raunchy booty-shaking selection hit the speakers and the crowd went nuts! It was the absolute perfect ending to an awesome party.

I can't recommend DJ Burton enough. He was such a dream to work with. He always answered my questions within a day or two and he was always so patient and professional. A week before the wedding he set up a call to go over every little detail which I really appreciated. He directed our whole reception flawlessly. Everyone had such a great time because of him. My one friend immediately booked him after coming to our wedding. We did the slideshow photobooth and it looked amazing! During the night if we wanted a certain song he would immediately put it on. I cannot say enough good things about him. He kept the party going, was such a blast to work with, and best of all he made everything stress free.

DJ Burton was the best! From the beginning he was extremely professional and responsive. When planning a wedding the small things like this goes a long way from the beginning! DJ Burton even rearrange his schedule to ensure he could DJ and MC at our wedding. The ceremony music was perfect! He pronounced everyone names correctly, kept everyone on the dance floor with Jamaican reggae/dancehall chunes and classic HipHop & R&B, and made suggestions to the wedding schedule. I would definitely recommend and hire again as a DJ!
