As we looked for a DJ it was top of mind to have someone who felt comfortable playing all genres of music. Burton seamlessly blended R&B, Hip-hop, Pop, Country, Salsa, Merengue, Bachata… I mean you name it he played it. He kept our guests off their feet the entire night! We also rented a photo booth through him that was an absolute hit with our guests. They provided all the props, and it captured the best high-quality photos. My now husband and I were planning our Miami wedding from a different state, not knowing what to expect. We found DJ Burton from Shut down Productions and what a fantastic job he did!! from start to finish. He listened to all our requests, made the process very easy and he was very accommodating. The music at my wedding was incredibly important to me and my spouse. I am of African American background, and he is Latino. We wanted a DJ that could play both music types and do it well. With so many aspects to cover for the wedding, having a DJ to assist with entertainment(MC) and awesome music is at the top of the list. I was concerned with choosing a DJ vendor from the list but possibly choosing one that sucks. Well, after researching their website and social media sites, my husband and I made our choice. Burton, our DJ, met with me for an initial consultation to help with choosing songs and then another meeting closer to the wedding, to review our choices and the wedding timeline. AMAZING! Burton was more than we could have asked for for our wedding DJ both before the wedding and during. His personality was positive and his skills to match our music likes was effortless. If he didn’t know a song we listed for him he didn’t act like it, he had everything set up perfectly. He met with us via video chat before the wedding to get to know us both and prior to that any question my new husband had he answered immediately through email or phone. Talk about a party!!! Burton and Al at Shut Down Productions kept our wedding guests involved and the party rockin' all night! Al read the room and the party on the dance floor proved that! I loved that I was able to send them my playlists and song requests for all portions of our day. The cold sparklers were a must-have and created an amazing vibe to start and end our reception! One of my favorite options we chose was the slideshow DJ booth! I included hundreds of photos of us as a couple and with our guests and family and everyone loved seeing those photos play throughout the night. At our wedding we knew we wanted something that would be interactive and entertain all our guests. The 360 Photo Booth was exactly what we were looking for! We worked with Burton J of Shut Down Productions. He was recommended to us by a friend who had used his DJ services. From our first phone call till the day of the wedding he was very attentive, punctual and answered all of our questions. On the day of our wedding he was the first one there and had everything set up when we walked into the venue. I highly recommend his services! We had glow sticks, Flaming donuts, and a live guitarist but by far the thing that set off the wedding for the guests was the 360 photo booth. It was a great way to bring together the memories of our wedding and have all of our guests interact. Everyone got to keep a custom memory of the event and the following day he sent us over a link with all of the amazing photos that everyone had taken. Had it not been for this we would’ve missed so much because we were running around doing a million things. I can’t recommend his services enough!

Burton from Shut Down Productions absolutely mastered the entire vibe of our reception. He made our night possible from acting as mc during toasts to flawlessly coordinating the last-minute dance locations. When our friends got to the dance floor I think their minds were a little blown. When searching for a DJ we wanted to make sure we didn't hire the traditional wedding DJ that plays full 3-4 min versions of every song and basically presses play on their Spotify playlist. The mashups/setlist was exactly what we were looking for! We had a small wedding of 65 people (half young people, half older crowd) and I was worried people wouldn't be dancing. The dance floor was packed all night. He was able to read the room so well and tailor the music to who was on the dance floor. The next day at our brunch everyone was talking about how amazing the DJ was. We already have family members wondering how they can book Burton for their events in Texas!! If you're like me, you probably read through all of these reviews and are wondering if Shut Down Productions are too good to be true... I can tell you every review lives up to the hype. Do yourself a favor and go ahead and book them!!

Burton was very helpful in terms of offering everything and then some we needed entertainment wise for our wedding, He's a pro DJ live mixer & provides a great MC to help run the show. Love his attitude and working with him. One thing we wish was paid a bit more attention to; we sent him a playlist of 120+ songs of what we'd like played at our wedding (obviously didn't expect everything to be played, but there were a good amount of songs played that weren't on our playlist.. wish our song selection was better utilized/prepared) BUT it still was a great dance-a-thon. Even played some great indie/emo jams my wife prepared & wanted for a good nostalgic 30 minute dance off with friends. Just wow! Absolutely blown away by DJ Burton J who was the undisputed MVP of our wedding. We game planned a few days before our wedding regarding the sound we were going for and DJ Burton J understood what we wanted and flawlessly executed. I found DJ Burton from the reviews here and other websites so I knew I had to write a review for him. Hands down the ABSOLUTE BEST! I have eclectic music taste and didn't want typical wedding music...we had a couple of chats but I didn't give him a huge must play song list and HE KILLED IT! Shut Down is the perfect name for this DJ because they truly shut it down! We worked with Burton, the owner of Shut Down Productions, for our 225 person cocktail-style wedding celebration. We got married with only our families earlier in the week and hosted a Miami Nights themed celebration on a Saturday night. Our goal was to host a party that was fun enough to justify having 100+ out-of-towners fly in for just one night, and we chose Shut Down Productions to DJ that party. WOW, did they deliver! Burton and his MC kept the energy high throughout the evening and did such a great job that I overheard several local guests approach them and ask for a business card so they could hire them in the future. The icing on the cake was the last song... The MC got everyone onto the dance floor expecting a slow, romantic song, and then our raunchy booty-shaking selection hit the speakers and the crowd went nuts! It was the absolute perfect ending to an awesome party.

I can't recommend DJ Burton enough. He was such a dream to work with. He always answered my questions within a day or two and he was always so patient and professional. A week before the wedding he set up a call to go over every little detail which I really appreciated. He directed our whole reception flawlessly. Everyone had such a great time because of him. My one friend immediately booked him after coming to our wedding. We did the slideshow photobooth and it looked amazing! During the night if we wanted a certain song he would immediately put it on. I cannot say enough good things about him. He kept the party going, was such a blast to work with, and best of all he made everything stress free.

DJ Burton was the best! From the beginning he was extremely professional and responsive. When planning a wedding the small things like this goes a long way from the beginning! DJ Burton even rearrange his schedule to ensure he could DJ and MC at our wedding. The ceremony music was perfect! He pronounced everyone names correctly, kept everyone on the dance floor with Jamaican reggae/dancehall chunes and classic HipHop & R&B, and made suggestions to the wedding schedule. 20 out of 10 recommend using Shut Down Productions for your wedding (or any party for that matter)! Burton was our wedding DJ and killed it. From the beginning he was professional and easy to work with. He met me at our wedding venue almost a year before hand to go over his recommendations for uplights because we used 2 rooms for the reception. The lights really helped create a great visual setting. Also before the wedding, he gives you a packet to fill out so that your wedding party is organized for intros and you can give him dos and don'ts for music. Our music taste spans all genres and he did an excellent job of mixing in all of our requests plus plugging in his own selections for a seamless playlist that kept everyone of all ages on the dance floor ALL night, which is exactly what we wanted. Burton only missed one request and as the lights were coming on my husband asked him to play the song and he happily did so. Everyone stayed on the dance floor with the lights on having a great time for an extra few minutes. Besides the music and uplights, I highly recommend using their photoboth. It's sleek looking so it doesn't take up too much space and super easy to use. When our guests weren't on the dance floor they were having a great time taking silly photos. Many of my guests said it was 'the best wedding ever' and I give alot of that credit to Shutdown Productions!

This guy knows how to read a room and SHUT IT DOWN!! Burton and his team work hard and they deliver. Everyone had fun at our wedding. We got paired with DJ BJ (Burton) and he was the perfect fit for our wedding. We filled out their questionnaire and closer to the wedding date, DJ Burton gave us a call. He up lights and monogram were beautiful. Our guests absolutely loved him and thought he did such an amazing job! I swear the party never stopped! 12/10 will recommend to a friend!

In 2019 we went to 9 weddings, and Dj Burton/Shutdown was hands down the best! We hired him for our wedding and it was even better! Prior to wedding, from the detailed list of what we want, to communication, and professionalism, we were so pleased. At the wedding, he was great on the mic, hyped the crowd and played the exact music we wanted. We highly recommend!!!

Manny brought the party to our wedding. One of my biggest concerns while planning was that I wanted to make sure that at no point did the event fall flat, or people were not having a good time. He we super quick on communication, he was patient when I changed details or added more services last minute, he was extremely timely on getting to the venue in time to set up, and finally he was amazing at keeping all our songs organized and playing them at the right moments (we had a lot). Easy process, great service, super fun guy!

Burton did an absolutely amazing job. He was great with communication and literally listened to everything I requested. I had some concerns that our wedding might not have much dancing (our friends and family aren't huge dancers). Burton was able to read the crowd and we had people dancing from the second the dance floor opened up. We also had him do the CO2 gun which was an awesome addition and really made the floor come alive when we were all out there dancing. So so grateful for their hard work to help make our dream a reality.

My husband and I were married 1/16/21 at Cypress Grove Estate house. Hiring DJ Burton Williams from Shut Down Productions was an amazing decision that was one of the huge reasons our wedding was such a hit. From the minute the dance floor opened until the last song, the dance floor was full. Nobody was sitting for the entire reception. It was even hard getting some guests to leave at the end of the night. Burton was able to read the crowd expertly and there was never a dull moment. I would absolutely recommend him and Shut Down Productions.

If we could give shut down productions 10/ 5 stars we would! Burton and his partner were AMAZING! I wouldn’t say we are extremely traditional but needed those “traditional” events for the reception like first dance and parent dances. I made it clear that we wanted to get those out of the way so that we could start the party and they did just that! The music was on point all night- my guests said they couldn’t even go to the bathroom because they didn’t want to miss a song! A special touch that Shut Down did was make an amazing Instagram story of our wedding and reception! I watch it all of the time- it brings me right back to that day. Thank you so much Burton and co for making our wedding everything we wanted and so much more! Book them you will not be disappointed!

We had a GREAT experience working with ShutDown Productions! We had a smaller wedding (15 people) and really underestimated how impactful having the right company there to keep the party moving. They created the perfect atmosphere. We had the pleasure of having DJ Burton (DJ BJ Live) and DJ Guillermo (DJ Memo) host our wedding. Prior to the wedding, they had us complete paperwork that asked us the music we preferred to have played at various points in the wedding. They came through at every part and did not miss a request. We were able to request both genres of kusic and specific songs. Theycalso did a great job of reading the room and adjusting the music choice based on the guest's interests. They came to the venue with enough time to set up and create the perfect atmosphere for the guest before the wedding began. Thankfully, they offered the Dance on a Cloud option, which made for some BEAUTIFUL pictures. A MUST if you ask us. They even went above and beyond the job by recording some videos from the wedding and posting them on Instagram. All in all, they really took our wedding to the next level and we HIGHLY recommend them.

Burton was our DJ last night for our wedding. We are so glad we went with him! We had to cut our party short and limit the guest count once quarantine happened and Burton brought the 4 hour party energy to a 2 hour party. We're both not dancers but the music was so good we couldn't help but get up and look silly with our friends. Everyone had a blast and we thank you for making our wedding awesome! Best night ever!

Burton was a blast on our wedding night! My fiance and I were mixing cultures (Cuban and American) and Burton made sure to play a mix of music that fit our guest list which is exactly what we asked for. Not only is he an awesome DJ, but he kept the timeline on track as the MC and was very professional. Everyone had so much fun dancing the night away. Manny and his team were the life of the party! The only thing we wish we could have changed about our wedding was to add more dancing time - we ALL had so much fun. Our dance floor was the place to be for the duration of the night. Manny was so wonderful at reading the crowd and was very involved with a wonderful energy. We loved him so much my sister will be using his services at her wedding. We also hired our videographer through Manny. Our video was so fantastic that not a week goes by we don’t take time to watch it. The song choices and timing are perfect. We absolutely love it. As one of our friends stated, “It was like watching a Disney movie trailer.” I personally never planned on having a videographer and I am so glad I did. It is one of our favorite things from our wedding. The team captured many important moments and emotions that I wasn’t able to see as the bride. The wedding day flies by so fast it really allows you to take it all in and relive those amazing memories. A huge thank you to his team for their spectacular work!

DJ Chocolate Rain (Manny) was amazing! Luckily I grew up with him and was very familiar with his personality and his style of getting the party started! He advised us on multiple questions we had about our timeline, made sure our wedding ran smoothly and most importantly GOT EVERYONE ON THE DANCEFLOOR! Couldn't be happier with our decision to hire him and Shut Down Productions. He showed our guests how to wobble and Drake's Toosie Slide. His participation made it even more fun! Highly recommend this company and especially Manny if you want to make sure everyone has a blast! He made sure to play our 4 "must play" songs during the night as well to split the dancing up and set the tone. Hands down best wedding DJ we could have asked for!

From the first time Burton and I had a conversation he was nothing but professional and helpful. All while managing the uncertainties with the pandemic Shutdown Productions stayed in constant communication with us before the wedding. Coming from a family with a huge diversity in music I was hesitant that the Dj would not be able to handle all the different styles of music we needed for our wedding. If I could give this a million stars I would. I don't even know where to begin. DJ Chocolate Rain made our wedding a reality. He is an INCREDIBLE DJ. A DJ can really make or break a wedding and he went above and beyond every expectation we had. The ceremony music was perfect, as well as the reception. All of the uplighting changed the entire look of the room. Thinking about a Photo Booth? 100% worth it. The amount of compliments I got about him were insane and Im so glad he was apart of our special day. You will not be disappointed!!!!!

I wish there was an option for more than 5 stars because Shut Down Productions deserves a shower of stars. We unfortunately had to reschedule our wedding back in March, 4 days before our first attempt at our wedding and Burton was so calm, sweet and accommodating with our new date. We Successfully had our wedding last weekend and Shut Down Productions did our DJ for the whole night, Ceremony mic and speakers, up-lighting and photobooth. Burton and Immanuel made the planning prior so easy and we had complete trust in them and they were extremely professional and organized. The moment Immanuel (DJ Chocolate Rain) started the music….he had EVERYONE and I mean EVERYONE on the dance floor the whole entire night, and they were still dancing on the way out to our sparkler exit. I cannot thank them enough for making our wedding so special and our guest have NOT stopped talking about how AWESOME our DJ was.

We got married on Nov 17,2019 and we had Immanuel DJ our wedding. He was beyond amazing! The playlist was on point! Everyone kept commenting on how good all the music was! I cannot say enough about DJ BJ. WOW! He absolutely killed it. He was always very responsive before the wedding and the week before went through everything with us for an hour to make sure he had everything perfect. He even added on extra things for our ceremony the week of and handled it all flawlessly. During the reception he kept the dance floor full, our son loves to dance and never left the dance floor. We had some different requests than usual and DJ BJ was on board and excited to try it all. I would 1000% recommend him and will tell everyone I know. Thank you so much for making our day amazing, we couldn't have done it without you! We are going to have to find a new reason to have a party with a DJ, I know I will be using him for any future business events. Thank you so much again!

DJ Immanuel was the DJ for my wedding on October 19 and he shut our wedding down (in a good way)!! DJ Immanuel read the crowd well and knew which songs to play next. He kept the party rocking until the last possible moment. He is very flexible as well. My husband and I were planning to do the Newlywed Game but changed our minds last minute and DJ Immanuel kept everything running smoothly. Please do not hesitate to hire this company for your next event. They are very professional and super talented.

Shut Down Production's Immanuel "Manny" Smart was the best DJ my family reunion has ever had. He was punctual, courteous, and very knowledgeable about the kind of music we'd need for each segment of our Honorary Dinner & Dance. He was great at setting the tone during more serious times, but was very capable of motivating family members who haven't danced in years. I'm seriously thinking of having a party of my own just so I can hire him again.
