Shutterfreek is absolutely AMAZING! My husband and I had a very small intimate wedding in Durango, Colorado. I was so nervous all day but Katie did such a wonderful job! An hour before the wedding they had to change our venue site due to weather and she didn't miss a beat!! I am truly thankful for her capturing one of the most important moments of our life. I would recommend them to everyone!!!! They are the BEST!

I have very mixed feelings about Shutterfreek. They produce amazing photos and films, hence why I hired them but was ultimately not happy with the final product that my husband and I received. It took me a while to finally write this review because I had to really think about this purchase. We really love our short film, but I'm really not satisfied with our long version. We didn't receive our final long video until 1 year after our wedding, literally, on our 1 year anniversary. They were very apologetic for the time it took to complete and we were understanding, but when I saw the results, I was pretty heart broken. We did have a catholic ceremony, and I am completely aware that the ceremony is long and can sometimes be dull, but there is a very good portion of our film that is them zooming in and out of a stained glass Jesus and music in the background. I'm also confident that there is some drone footage in our film that was not from our wedding day. Yes the same area, but still. I haven't wanted to watch our full version video again... and I haven't shared it with family or friends. I love our photos though. They knew what they were doing, I didn't need to provide them a list of photos that I wanted and they were extremely professional, yet fun at the same time. They made taking the photos extremely easy (no awkward moments) and directed us yet still let us be natural. In the end I wish I wouldn't have splurged and gotten the package I did. My husband and I paid for our own wedding, and it was a lot of money that we could have used else where. We were promised 3 photographers in our contract, there were 3 for the ceremony and then only had two the rest of the time. Maybe that could have helped make a difference.

Words can't explain how emotional it was to watch our wedding highlight video. Thank you for doing such an incredibly beautiful job of filming and editing our day! I knew you two were rockstars when I hired you, but this is really remarkable! I don't know how we'll make it through the longer version without crying again, but we're excited to see it eventually! Thank you for everything, this will be a very special keepsake from our wedding!

We used Shitterfreek for my daughter’s wedding and had the best experience. Attention was paid to every detail and they were very professional. There was a tremendous downpour just prior to the ceremony but that did not detour them from capturing all the crucial shots and details. One thing that I greatly appreciated was the attention to the family photos. My father in law became ill shortly after the wedding and passed away. When we looked at the photos were delighted to find pictures of him and my mother in law dancing as well as shots of him and both my daughters. These photos were the last of him in this life. What a precious treasure! I couldn’t recommend their team any higher. They are fun, professional and easy to work with. So happy we chose them!

There are three big reasons for my "Stay Away" rating: 1) Time management 2) Lack of willingness to listen and 3) poor direction 1) Paul, I felt, disregarded our timeline for the wedding day from the start. I ended up being 30 minutes late for the ceremony (my groom thought I got cold feet!). My pictures did not come in until FOUR months later, and all the while I was seeing other people's projects, like engagement sessions and I think even a senior picture session, being posted to their social media. It has now been SIX months, and have heard zip about our wedding video. 2) I expressed to Paul that family was extremely important to Austin (my husband) and me, and that I wanted really nice family photos, and was willing to take away from our portraits time to make room for family pictures since he and I have such big families. This was one of the only times...probably THE only time that our whole family, on both sides, was going to be together. He shot down the idea of taking away from portraits, telling me that I would regret it later. Now, because of the lateness of the ceremony, we only have one, barely visible picture of the whole family, and absolutely zero pictures of the whole family on separate sides. I don't know why he didn't take my and my husband's desires seriously, it may have been because we were a younger couple, and I let myself get pushed around. Which brings me to my third point... 3) While getting ready, Paul wanted to do a spoken love letter for the video. He told me to just speak from the heart. I told him I couldn't do that and wanted to write something down first so it would be meaningful. He insisted I just speak from the heart until I got so stressed from not being able to think of something I started crying (nerves are already elevated on a wedding day). Also, I can't recall how many times Paul shouted "Just do something!" at Austin and I during our portraits session. It was at least five, and when it wasn't that it was "make out" or "just show me you're in love". I was already WAY stressed at this point, so I couldn't come up with creative or candid poses on my own, and started crying...again...but this time I couldn't stop and had to end the photo session early. So, overall the experience was really not good and was left with a lot of bad and stressful memories of my wedding day. He did apologize, and let us have more pages in our wedding album...but I just wish I had a time machine.

We LOVE shutterfreek!! We first met Paul and Katie in 2010 when we were looking for someone to do our engagement pictures. We absolutely loved working with them! They captured our wedding the same year and I love looking back at all of the pictures. We received so many pictures from our special day, from pictures of guests to decorations to scenery, and of course the pictures of my husband and me. I can look back at these pictures and remember exactly how I felt on that special day! We have used shutterfreek to capture our family photos since then. Paul has done our maternity photos and numerous family photos throughout the last 6 years and we are never disappointed. I know they take their time in order to produce the absolute best product possible for each client they work with. We have moved to Texas, but we travel back home to New Mexico for family pictures by shutterfreek! We wouldn't trust anyone else to capture these special moments for us!

I was so excited to finally be marrying the love of my life and like so many I had a tight budget so I was willing to bend on a lot- the cake, venue, flowers, etc. EXCEPT for my dress(obviously) and the photographer. And I knew exactly who we were booking.. Shutterfreek! I am not kidding when I say I begged, moved money around, did anything I could in order to book them. When I reached out Paul responded the same night! When it came to my wedding, they didn't disappoint. I wish I could attach them to this post to show how beautiful they turned out! Maybe we made it easy since my husband and I are so photogenic :) jk.. Kinda. But they were able to capture every detail, how I felt, how my family and friends felt. What was most impress though was the thousands( I'm not kidding, Thousands!!) of pictures they took of me and my husband. They were professional and were able to capture every shot I asked for and more. Not only did they deliver more photos than any other Wedding photographer I know of but they edited them in color and black&white! When we received the box with the USB's and pictures you could tell they put a lot of care and thought into them. My family, my husband, and guest could not say enough good things about my photographer, photos, and the fun photo booth! I would use them again and again! There is a wait, which I feel is normal for any photographer and stated in the contract but it's well worth the wait!! Thank you shutterfreek for capturing one of the most important days of my life!

I was told while planning my wedding that a great photgrapher was the most important part. After the day is over, all that is left are the photos and videos! Shutterfreek is the absolute best choice we could have made! Everything was captured in the most beautiful way. They have done our engagement, wedding, and trash the dress, my sisters wedding, my cousins wedding, numerous family shoots, and its safe to day that we have found a amazing photographer to capture the most important moments for many many years!
