The venue is gorgeous, but the communication among staff was very frustrating.
-we were supposed to hear from/meet with the bartender to explain our drinks menu and the faux flor...
al designer to approve the decor before the event, which did not happen
- for the rehearsal dinner, we didn't have the correct number of tables/chairs, and we're initially told we would have linens and centerpieces which we were later told we would not, but that they would throw in table cloths as a courtesy
- when we arrived there was a mattress in the newlywed cabin living room so the cabin wasn't ready for us, it was later removed but the other living room furniture wasn't put back
- the bridal getting ready suite had a bed in it that wasn't supposed to be there
- the couches that were supposed to be brought for the inside of the cabin and by the fireplace for the reception were never delivered
- the rehearsal dinner tables were never removed before the wedding day, along with a few cocktail tables just set to the side
- The outdoor women's restroom was locked and the men's one had storage items in it
- a group of people who was apparently having an event the next weekend showed up and was walking around the venue, on the lawn, in the cabin, etc for about an hour and none of the staff asked them to leave even when we asked them to assist, so I had to ask them to leave myself (this was especially upsetting), one person told us the people were only supposed to be in a certain area of the venue, even though we reserved the entire property (one of their selling points is you have the whole property for your event)
- the bartender was very nice but added shots of alcohol to the already premixed drinks, which she was told already had alcohol in them
- we were told drinks would be served in glasses but they were served in red solo cups

gs, the provided “day of coordinator” was confused about EVERYTHING, the provided bartender was lazy, grouchy, and wasteful, the provided caterers brought our food from 1.5 hours away in a U-haul truck which was visible from the ceremony site. Half of our guests got food poisoning.
Hugely stressful experience overall! We even had to beg for any decoration on the cake!

communications between the various employees we dealt with. Ana, our day of coordinator, was fantastic and really seemed to care about us having the day we wanted. However, so many things went wrong during the process. Our first food tasting had completely wrong food items, but Ana set us up to re-do the tasting. Our decor appointment didn’t get set up until I hounded them, and finally 3 weeks prior to the wedding we got to meet him, but he was 30 minutes late. The day off, none of the decor we had requested was set up. No centerpieces, no candles, no alternating color napkin. The decor guy assured us he would be there the day of our wedding to set things up, but he didn’t show and Ana only received “couple requests lanterns”. We definitely did not request lanterns, so he must have mixed up the dates (or didn’t bother to review the notes he had taken). The aisle had no decor either, when flowers and candles had been planned. I had to spend 2 months hounding the owners trying to get in touch with a DJ, and only made contact 5 days prior to the wedding, so that was stressful and made planning the music much more difficult. The DJ was great, but he himself said he normally likes to discuss things at least a month prior. At the end of the day, we had a nice wedding. However, we picked this venue for its convenience due to the all inclusive nature of it, and it ended up being a very inconvenient experience. ntire weekend. It was very convenient to be onsite the entire weekend. There is ample parking for all your guests and even buses to help transport guests if you choose to hire transportation. The staff were amazing and accommodated all of our needs. The food from their in-house catering was delicious!
