things differently and I am so fortunate not to have that feeling. Our wedding happens once. It is a day that we will remember forever and Marianne at Sierra Vista knows this. She has made it her goal to make everyone feel like a princess. Princesses don’t have a lot of stress because they have a team of people in their corner making their dreams become reality. In addition to Marianne, she has a well-oiled team who is experienced with one another and know how to do all of the behind the scenes work to create a magical day. Marianne and Katie with “A Little Party” coordinate everything for the day of the wedding so that the bride, her soon to be husband and guests can simply come to enjoy a union between husband and wife. I really could not imagine doing all of that on my own or designating inexperienced people to create such a care free day. A Little Party handles it all!!! There are so many details and components to think about that the bride may forget or simply not think of and the ladies with A Little Party leave no questions out! They take the time to get to know the bride and what her vision is. Of course, I wish I could re-live that day at least once a month, but I have memories that I still day dream about and have to attribute that to Marianne and everyone who works so well together to organize and coordinate the day so that it was everything I had envisioned!!

stress that came with COVID and the restrictions on weddings...or the rehearsal and wedding day in typical, changeable Virginia weather. My only daughter wanted a wedding venue that would provide an outdoor ceremony with beautiful sunset photos. Well from our first visit it was obvious that Sierra Vista, overlooking the Peaks of Otter would give her what she wanted. As her mom I wanted her to have a venue that cared just as much about her experience as I did. Well Sierra Vista gave us both. Marianne was amazing from the first moment we met her. We attended a vendor showcase as Sierra Vista in early 2020 just before COVID and once again we were impressed by Marianne and her exquisite venue but also by the people she surrounds herself with. We left that visit knowing who our caterer, bartender, cake artist, florist and décor rental vendors would be. Happy bride...overjoyed mom. We got through the bulk of COVID and restrictions started being lifted. We had a meeting at Sierra Vista with our coordinator (A Little Party) and she walked us through all of the COVID precautions, how everything would work for rehearsal, ceremony and reception everything was PERFECT ! Two weeks out in true worry wort mom fashion I started watching the extended weather forecast, Sierra Vista is after all an outdoor venue. The rain chance for day of started at 60% and by two days out was at 100%. We arrived early for set up and rehearsal to be met by Marianne who immediately said, don't worry, we may have a 2 hour window and if we don't I have a plan. When our day of coordinator arrived she said the same thing and then walked us through a full rehearsal both indoors and out. We walked away from rehearsal with not a care in the world about the weather, Marianne and Katie had a plan. Well...day of, it's raining...it's raining harder approaching the 5pm ceremony, now it's really raining. My daughter and I both choose to not go look at the set up prior, we trusted the team. Well it was breathtaking, they had moved the beautifully decorated cross from the outdoor site, all of the signs and flowers were now indoors, it was PERFECT. Our guests were shocked to know that it was supposed to be outside, that is how perfect it was indoors. My daughter and son in law both had only one comment about their now indoor wedding..."mom this was PERFECT" So I guess you are wondering how it could be perfect if my daughter's dream wedding included beautiful sunset photos. Well as our amazing photographer (Hope Stevens Photography) was making the absolute most of a downpour, she was also working with Marianne to make arrangements for my daughter and son in law to be able to return to Sierra Vista the following rain free evening to have those beautiful sunset photos. I have no idea how I could have wanted more from Marianne, Sierra Vista and the talented team that comes with. I don't know of any other mother of the bride that would say to you my daughter's outdoor wedding got rained out and it was PERFECT, AMAZING, WONDERFUL, WHAT DREAMS ARE MADE OF. If you are considering an outdoor venue but are concerned about Virginia weather, in my mind your only option is Sierra Vista, no matter what happens you will get the wedding of your dreams. And develop friendships that will last forever.

en dealing with COVID they still worked with me to overcome any obstacles. I am going to miss talking to Marianne and Little Party Events all the time! They were always available when I had a question and were always so helpful. I wish I could plan and have my wedding all over again!! They really try their best to give you what you envisioned and I thank them for that. If you choose to go with SV I assure you, you won’t be disappointed.
