I hired Siliang as the photographer for my elopement in Carmel, California.
My husband and I do not like taking photos. We often come out rigid-looking / awkward so I knew I needed to hire someone who was really talented with candid-type photos. As soon as I saw Siliang’s portfolio, I knew I had to hire him. Not only are Siliang’s photos very eye catching, but they also help tell a story and convey emotion which I think makes them so much more compelling to look at than any other wedding photographer’s photos that I’ve seen. His photos are more like pieces of art.
Siliang managed to capture the most beautiful moments of our elopement. My husband and I are camera shy, but Siliang understood that and made us feel very comfortable. I was blown away by the end result. He has a true talent and a great, artistic eye.
During our interactions, Siliang was also very professional and responsive. He arrived at the location on time.

Siliang and his team got us some amazing photos of our wedding! It was an indoor wedding in a dark environment that we wanted to capture documentary style. Siliang did an amazing job! He and his team captured so many moments that we wouldn't have seen otherwise. The pictures are really amazing.
My husband and I hired Siliang to photograph our wedding ceremony and reception in San Francisco on June 2, 2023, and we are so happy we did! From the very beginning, Siliang was super easy to communicate with. We had an intro call and then he toured the venue with us. We ended up postponing our wedding by a year, and also changed the reception venue and Siliang was very accommodating and empathetic throughout. On the day of, he worked with a co-photographer. In just over 3 weeks after the wedding, he shared more than a thousand photos with so many amazing ones! He captured the day perfectly and struck a great balance of posed, candid, fun, emotional and several delightfully unexpected photographs! He is not your run of the mill wedding photographer who is heavy on post-edits or added effects. His aesthetic and style of photography is very matter of fact - he will find moments that truly capture the day and make photos that are pleasing, insightful and evocative. I am a fan of his approach and I love that it imparted truthfulness and timelessness to our wedding photos without being overdone. If that speaks to you, hire Siliang now!
We worked with Siliang for our engagement photos and we loved them so much that we worked with him further for our civil wedding and ceremony wedding! All our photos from all three sessions were beautiful. We specifically asked for candid, no posed shots because my husband hates posed photos, and he did just that in the most beautiful ways possible! Very easy to work with. Very easy to get in touch. You can tell he does photography with passion. He stayed longer than the scheduled time to get more shots with different sky lighting. He went over and beyond our expectations - thank you!!
We hired Siliang to photograph our wedding and loved how kind, diligent, and flexible he was in the planning process and on the day of. His calm and unimposing approach to photographing us made us feel so comfortable and allowed us to be super natural and present at every moment. We can’t wait to see the digital and film photographs he took for us! We also felt like he was was very reasonably priced compared to other digital and film wedding photographers in the Bay Area. My wife and I had Siliang shoot our wedding (and engagement photos), and the results are fantastic: we couldn't be happier. Siliang has a way of blending into the background and unobtrusively capturing the best candid shots you could imagine -- people at their best, having a great time, perfectly framed. He got fantastic shots of a bunch of our guests that we're excited to share with them. He has a great eye for composition too: our wedding and engagement were both outdoors and Siliang used the nature, trees, reflections on water, sunset, etc. in really gorgeous ways. He was easy to work with and went above and beyond. We wholeheartedly recommend him!

He balanced artistry with professionalism and photography expertise - the natural lighting and subtle angles made our pictures look natural and authentic. Siliang was incredible - he somehow managed to both be everywhere at once but never in the way or even noticeable. He keyed into all the best moments, and delivered a really exceptional product that told the story of the day. He doesn't focus just on the frameable shots (though he certainly got those in abundance), he focuses on documenting the true experience. Really exceptional work and we are so lucky to have found him.

He was incredible to work with from the moment we reached out to get an estimate and check availability through to the day of. Silian was and is phenomenal, not only did his flight get pushed back due to a storm but he managed to hop on a flight that landed thebday of and he came straight to the wedding preparations for pictures. He has an incredible eye for angles, catching the right moments and effects that bring that high quality dream wedding pictures to your front screen. He is self managed at an event, the type of person you don't even have to go ask him to take photos of a certain group or capturing a time in a picture because he already beat you to it. He also had the pictures ready way ahead of the projected time.
I highly recommend him for any kind of event specifically and specially if it is your wedding.

Siliang takes the most artistic and creative photos! We didn’t want the same old posed and awkward photos, we wanted a more natural and artistic approach. We had high expectations and Siliang still impressed us! We have so many fun and unique engagement and wedding photos that we honestly don’t know where to begin in picking the best ones. Such a good problem to have! In planning a wedding through COVID, Siliang was also our easiest vendor to work with, he was so flexible with the changes and that was really helpful for us!
We were super close to booking another photographer, but kept putting it off because something just didn't feel quite right. We stumbled across Siliang's work and from the very first call we had with him, we knew that he was the photographer for us! He is down to earth, friendly, and easy to work with, and the pictures he takes are absolutely stunning. He immediately became like family to us, so much so that people at our wedding just thought he was one of our friends (which by that point he was!) He is great at capturing those "in between" moments, and making you feel completely comfortable in front of the camera. He is up for any adventure and really fun to be around and work with. He was so flexible and accommodating, and was a huge help even during our planning process, offering us insight and advice to make our day go as smoothly as possible. Siliang was the best wedding photographer I could ask for! He has such an amazing eye for photography. My pictures turned out beautiful.
