The process with Merrie started well enough, from our phone calls to seating chart. Timeline took awhile to get out to vendors and took some reminding but it did. Merrie said she w...
ould personally be there for our wedding but she was not. We didn’t have videography so I was very clear at the rehearsal I was happy to allow guests to use their phones / record video. The fill in day of coordinator then made an announcement at that start of the ceremony, with her half shaved head and purple hair (doesn’t matter but doesn’t match wedding aesthetics), that I requested no phones??? And convinced our officiant to repeat that? She asked a lot of questions that vendors asked me why she asked / didn’t already know and then proceeded to do nothing with the information. My DJs did an amazing job with timeline and announcements and all other vendors were great as well. The one job our planner really had was to ensure we did the champagne toast that we paid for and that never happened. I would recommend not throwing your money away to a “day of coordinator”who I couldn’t tell you a single thing they contributed that day. If anything, they made it messier.
Merrie and her team were good for the most part. During the ceremony they sat inside the house almost the whole time and I was told by the owner of the home that they asked them to...
do things that Merrie and her team were hired to do. I feel like the communication could have been better. Vendors were asking a lot of questions. Merrie and her team were nice though.

ommodating when I was running around trying to get ready and she was finding our grown children to sign our marriage license. Thank you so much Merrie you were the perfect fit for our Wedding.
My now husband and I were married by Merrie in a small ceremony in Big Bear last week. The entire ceremony was magical and our experience with Merrie only enhanced the magic of our...
day. From my first contact with Merrie inquiring about costs, setting up a zoom meet and greet, and to getting married, she was patient, kind, and thorough in her response to our questions. Merrie even arrived early to our ceremony and was constantly offering help or asking how she could help. The cherry on top of it all was her beautifully written ceremony. She nailed everything about marriage and our relationship from the information she was able to gather in our simple zoom meeting . She made us feel confident in our relationship and the path we were taking towards marriage. I would highly recommend Merrie for your wedding or ceremony!
Merrie was perfect as the officiant at our wedding. Her voice is so soothing and calm, everyone in our wedding party commented that they loved listening to her! Her custom written ...
ceremony was delivered beautifully and made the wedding that much more magical. We got a lot of guest compliments on the ceremony! It was sweet, romantic, and powerful.
I loved that she comes to the rehearsal at no extra charge. I noticed a lot of other don’t do that and I can’t imagine rehearsing without the officiant after going through it. She made everything so simple, we were directed through everything including filing the marriage license. She was always early and prepared.
After talking with us and getting to know us she suggested a wine box ceremony, which we had never heard of, but we took her recommendation and it was a very special part of the ceremony and a tradition we are excited to carry on for years to come.
We also loved that it was her idea to step away before our first kiss so that we would have a nice photo.

took many times to get to know us from another country. On our day she kept us calm and in the moment of love. Her voice was so soothing and all my guests commented the same about our beautiful service and officiant .

Merrie was our officiant for our May 2021 wedding. She's very professional, she wrote a perfect ceremony, she did an incredible job during the day of our wedding, and was super hel...
pful and supportive throughout the whole process in the months leading up to our wedding. Merrie is just a very nice and easy going person in general, so working with her is very stress free and easy. She took the time to get to know us and understand our relationship, and put together a ceremony script that did a good job reflecting who we are as a couple. In addition, she has lots of helpful advice when it comes to writing vows and practicing the ceremony. Planning a ceremony and writing vows is obviously a stressful/nerveracking task, but Merrie takes quite a bit of the stress out of the occasion. And on top of all that, Merrie gave us a very affordable rate. I'd recommend Merrie to anyone who is looking for an officiant.
Merrie is such a blessing! My wife and I decided on a private elopement with zero guests other than a photographer and officiant. We knew we didn't want just any random person to...
marry us, so searching online for someone to officiate our marriage was a bit daunting. We came across Merrie's website during our planning, and I'm so glad we found her! Merrie is everything you want in an officiant. She is caring, eloquent, and wise. (She also spent some time as a wedding coordinator and is very knowledgable, which was a nice bonus!) We arranged a Zoom call and she took some time to get to know us so that she could write our ceremony from the heart. She certainly does not do "cookie cutter" weddings, and she crafted such an articulate, personalized ceremony for us even after only meeting us for a short period of time. Merrie has a lovely energy, calm voice, and kind heart. We loved having her play such an important role in our big day, and we think you will too.
