I truly hate writing reviews like this, especially because this venue was at the very top of my list and somewhere I was genuinely excited about getting married. This review is bas...
ed only on communication*
Unfortunately, after multiple attempts to get in contact, I never received a response from anyone. I called several times, left voicemails, and sent emails over the course of weeks hoping to schedule a tour or simply ask a few questions. After multiple avenues of contact, I reached out again through the Knot where I got a generic response with packages and pricing. After following up and showing interest, I never heard back again. I completely understand that venues can be busy — especially during wedding season — but not receiving a single reply at all was incredibly disheartening.
Planning a wedding already involves a lot of moving parts, and communication is one of the most important factors when choosing vendors. Not hearing back made it impossible to move forward or even consider the venue, no matter how beautiful it appeared online. It also slowed down my planning process and I was hopeful I’d get a response and did not want to look at other venues at the time. I started reaching out Jan 9th, it is now Feb 16th and still not a single response. It left me feeling disappointed and honestly a bit dismissed as a potential client.
I’m sure the venue itself may be wonderful, which makes this even more unfortunate. However, based on my experience, couples should be aware that communication may be difficult or unreliable. Even a quick response saying availability was limited or they were fully booked would have been appreciated.
I truly wish things had gone differently, as I was very excited about the possibility of celebrating our wedding here.
This is the best engagement/wedding venue in the Bay Area. It’s very well kept. The grounds are beautiful, and the man made waterfalls are very pretty. The outdoor pictures are ...
superb. Rosa, the catering director, and her team were great, and very easy to work with.
We had our wedding at Silver Creek Valley Country Club about 2 weeks ago, Aside from the beautiful and gorgeous venue that it is, the staff is amazing! All of our guest continue to...
comment how amazing the staff was and how they never felt like a burden when asking for something from them. They provided Spectacular service and made our guest feel like home. Alyssa was amazing in helping us the day of and helped run things smoothly. Susana helped us throughout the entire process planning it and executed any request we asked of her. She made our vision come to life on our big day. We are very grateful for all the staff at Silver Creek for making our big day one to remember not only for us but also our guest! You will not go wrong with this venue for your big day!
Overall experience was excellent, loved the wedding venue and facility. Our wedding coordinator Rosa was extremely helpful and understands our needs, so that was a big plus.
Our wedding at Silver Creek was fantastic. The outdoor venue space is beautiful and the food and service were phenomenal. Risa was so wonderful to work with. Silver Creek was a per...
fect venue.
I worked with Suzanna instead of Risa. At the beginning it was rough because I barely got responses from Suzanna and it took her sometimes 1-2 weeks to answer a question and when s...
he finally replied it was not that helpful. The place is expensive. They charge for everything and anything you ask for is a "no". However, near towards my wedding, Suzanna's responses were much quicker and helpful, and was actually a sweetheart. Not sure what happened in between but the customer service was better later on. The venue is breath taking. It had to be for me to continue the relationship with the venue. I only reserved the ceremony section and cocktail, but not for reception. Way too expensive.
It is an absolutely gorgeous vendor with fantastic view. Food was top notch excellent and customer service was amazing. Event coordinator-Susanna G. was on top of every detail a...
nd she even got me a plate of food think I wouldn't have time to eat. They are very accommodating to create my dream wedding, and I definitely got everything I ever wanted.
It is a bit in the pricey side, but with the all inclusive service in the country club quality venue, I think it is so worth it. Thank you for every thing.
While this venue is higher in price, don't let that deter you from considering this location. The value that you get out of your dollar is well worth it. Also, they do offer prom...
otions to save on costs. In comparison to other venues that I have experienced as a wedding guest, the quality of the food and service is far above the competition. The food is absolutely delicious. Guest were served very quickly and I heard nothing but compliments from my guests. Everyone loved their food. I have been to weddings where I waited forever for a sub par meal and had to chase down staff members to get a glass of water. I did not want that for my wedding and was very pleased with the service we recieved. The staff at Silver Creek is top notch. The wedding coordinator, Risa, was there every step of the way doing whatever she could to make sure things ran smoothly and was extremely accomodating to the guests and wedding party. The grounds and views are breathtaking and make for fantastic photos. The wedding ceremony is next to a beautiful waterfall and the reception room is floor to ceiling windows with amazing views of the San Jose hills and gorgeous grounds of the SCVCC golf course. Another bonus is that they work with one of the best bakeries for wedding cakes. I highly recommend Silver Creek Valley Country Club as a wedding venue. I received so many compliments about my wedding. I had the very best day of my life and couldn't be happier.
When we first started looking at places to hold our ceremony and reception we were going crazy trying to find the perfect place. We looked at the Hayes Mansion, the 4 Seasons in P...
alo Alto and a couple other places...then my (now) husband stumbled upon the Silver Creek Valley Country Club on his way home from work one day. The very next day we called up and started speaking with a wonderful planner by the name of Susanna Gutierrez. We got in and then booked our event with her.
Unfortunately a little later my husband lost his job and we were in a bit of financial trouble. We had to change our plans. For the entire thing at Silver Creek you will pay anywhere from $15K - well over $30K. We originally were looking at about $15-16K and had booked a Friday during the offseason and even got a special and only paid $2500 for the site fee. We were ecstatic.
Things changed though. However, Susanna (a godsend) was ever so helpful and eventually we were able to have our ceremony there for the site fee and they let us out of our contract for the remainder. They were delightful and flexible to work with. If you have the money I would highly recommend Silver Creek. They were even featured on Oxygen for a wedding show. It truly is a beautiful place with a wonderful backdrop with a waterfall and the inside overlooks the community and golf course. It's simply stunning.
If you do go with them try to work with Susanna. She's wonderful. On the day of our wedding she was unfortunately out of town on vacation, but her backup Risa was equally pleasant to deal with and made our day work very well. It was absolutely great, just a little pricey when you have three kids and are trying to do the wedding all yourself with no help from family.
