All I have to say are AMAZING things about Silverbrook Farm, and the venue’s owner, Dot. My husband and I booked our venue over a year out and Dot was the most helpful with any and every question we had. Dot is the most accommodating and was pretty flexible when we wanted to visit the venue to visualize ideas we had for wedding set up. Dot is so kind, nice, and sweet. She gives great and honest feedback with your ideas, to help you create a smoother day. We had a pending hurricane on the forecast for our wedding and Dot was very reassuring that transitioning from the planned outdoor wedding, to the barn would be wonderful. The whole wedding ceremony felt so intimate with all of our loved ones surrounded by us in the barn. Dot and her coordinator, Jackie were LIFE SAVERS for our wedding day. Our caterers were late, and to make sure the wedding stayed on time, meant that Jackie and Dot, with the help of our florist, set up our wedding before guest arrival. They are truly the ultimate team who have the best intentions for the couple and their big day, even in the middle of hurricane weather. The day went so smooth for us and we couldn’t thank them enough for their help and hard work. They are amazing people, who are so welcoming and wonderful to work with. I HIGHLY recommend Silverbrook Farm to any bride. There are so many different sites on the venue’s property, it makes for very wonderful photographs. Our wedding at Silverbrook was so magical! Dotti went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and welcomed us into her home as if we were family. She is just so generous and was incredibly accommodating when we needed to reschedule due to Covid. The grounds and barn were so beautiful that we hardly needed to decorate and used what Dotti had available in her “Pinterest shed” for little decorative details like vases, table numbers and signs. We really envisioned a low key backyard/barn wedding and that’s exactly what Silverbrook provided. The cows even came up to the fence during the reception to enjoy the music! Our guests were in awe of the beautiful property and had a lovely time. Definitely book this spot for your wedding. You won’t be disappointed!

Silverbrook farm is awesome, the perfect place for an intimate wedding. You'll be amazed by the beauty around the farm. On top of all the owner ‘Dotti’ was the best. I really enjoyed working with her, you would not find someone more kind and hospitable. Would definitely recommend to someone.

The farm, gardens, house and barn are all lovely. The shed is full of supplies, making decorating and personalizing so easy, and we had such a fun time creating a cozy and beautiful space. All that said, the real value here is the owner, Dotti. She was so flexible as we made changes to our original plans due to COVID, generous with her time (we went out to the venue 4-5 times before our scheduled week just to measure and walk through some plans) and cool in a crisis. We had an issue with our Rehearsal Dinner catering and Dotti went out and got cheese and crackers for 25 people until the food arrived. She offered to help at every turn, including driving me down to the barn so I wouldn’t have to walk in the rain in my wedding dress. The weather was unseasonably cold (50 degrees and rain in late May) so she changed out the fans for heaters and brought her own collection of wraps and blankets for our guests. Dotti really helped the whole weekend run smoothly and we cannot thank her enough.

Dotti is a dream to work with! Our original date had to be changed due to Covid restrictions and Dotti was the first person to call us to figure out a backup date. She even had a backup date for the backup date which fortunately we did not need with our smaller but still perfect wedding. Silverbook Farm is the dream venue I didn't know I was looking for. The farm is beautiful with so many hidden treasures around every corner. With children at our wedding we had plenty of space for them to run around but also all the beauty of a picturesque farm wedding. You could go more bohemian or more glamorous which makes this farm even more special that there are so many different looks for every type of wedding. For anyone looking for a farm wedding in norther VA, Silverbrook is not only beautiful but you'll also be working with a true pro! Thank you Dotti for making our wedding weekend so special!!!

If you envision a classy, rustic setting for your wedding, Silverbrook is for you. I had visited another venue that was lower in price and thought we may go with that one. I decided to visit Silverbrook just to check it out, but the moment I stepped on the property, I knew it was where we were meant to get married. There are so many wonderful things to say about this place, including the owner, Dot, so I’m going to take it all piece by piece: The ceremony and reception space. The backyard altar and the reception barn are nothing short of magical. They are so beautiful all on their own that we hardly had to decorate at all. Decor. Dot has a huge collection of various decor items which she provides to her couples completely free of charge. We used her sweetheart table, antique bride and groom chairs, buffet table, wine barrel cocktail tables, antique plates, vases, and wreaths, all of which added so much charm to our wedding and didn’t cost us a thing. The farmhouse. The main part of the farmhouse was built in the 1700s, with an extension being built sometime later. The place is a dream, filled with character and history. We were able to use the large porch for our rehearsal dinner, and the two bedroom suites for the guys and ladies to get ready in on the day-of. The bride and groom also receive a complimentary night’s stay at the farmhouse either the night before or after the wedding, breakfast included (so yummy!). Exclusive use of the venue. This was a huge selling point for us. So many wedding venues do Thursday, Friday, and Saturday weddings, so you have limited time to set everything up and actually enjoy the space. Dot only hosts one wedding a week, so you have exclusive use of the space from Tuesday through Sunday. This gave us so much peace of mind and really enabled us to enjoy the weekend. Day-of coordinator. Dot provides a day-of coordinator for all her couples. This was another major selling point for us. We had planned to hire a day-of coordinator anyway, but because one came with the venue, it was one less thing to worry about. Our coordinator, Rachel, was amazing. She took care of absolutely everything for us, from setting up last-minute decor items, to keeping us on schedule, to coordinating with vendors. This gave us so much peace of mind and really allowed us to fully enjoy our day. Dot herself. I saved this part for last, because I believe it was the most important. Dot is such an amazing lady. She is so kind and generous and takes so much pride in her home. You can really see how much she loves the place. She has such a peaceful, calming demeanor, which is so invaluable when the stress of wedding planning can get the best of you. She is also a licensed civil servant, so we chose to have her officiate our ceremony. She brought so much warmth to every bit of our day, and we could not be more grateful for her. If we had to do it again, we would choose Silverbrook as our wedding venue a hundred times over. Our guests raved about how beautiful the place was, and it was the perfect setting for our special day. If you’re cost-conscious, let me just say that we were too, but when you consider how much you could save on decor, rentals, a wedding coordinator, and lodging for a night, the choice is really quite simple. Just having exclusive use of the venue for the week and the peace of mind that came with that made the whole thing worth it for us. In short, book your wedding with Silverbrook. You won’t regret it!

Our experience at Silverbrook Farm was nothing but incredible. As soon as we visited the venue and met the owner Dot, we knew we were lucky to have found such a beautiful place to get married. The venue is gorgeous and has so many things to completely fall in love with - the history of the house, the grounds, the scenery, and all the hidden gems around the property. We felt so at home at Silverbrook, which is truly a testament to Dot. She is so welcoming and easy to work with. She has an entire shed of beautiful items you can borrow and incorporates details around the property you would have never even thought of! She truly knows how to make your day memorable. It’s also a great perk to have a wedding venue you can visit for years to come! We cannot rave enough about Silverbrook Farm - if you are looking for a magical place to get married, you just found it!

I don't even know where to start reviewing Silverbrook, and more importantly, Dottie. I found Silverbrook Farms by accident when looking for venues in the area, and fell in love with the photos on the website. I contacted Dottie and set up a time to come see the place as soon as possible. I knew on my drive in that I was already in trouble, the scenery of Northern Virginia in October was easy to fall in love with. But the minute I drove up, I was smitten. Dot greeted me with a hug and a glass of wine, and chatted with me all about the lovely history of the house and the land. The farmhouse is STUNNING, with just enough detail to be welcoming and eclectic without trying too hard. Every inch of the interior of the house is straight out of a magazine, with all the touches of family history. The gardens and grounds offer something for every taste, and beautiful in every season. The barn is well kept and turns out amazing in photos. The entire place is magical, and everything I had ever hoped for in a wedding venue. But all of that aside, the real gem is Dot. She is wonderful, kind, and warm and her influence is obvious all over the place. She is also willing to lend her expertise and knowledge to any question you may have, and she's organized and takes care of every detail. I did not worry about a single thing the entire day of my wedding - every minute was handled and if anything went wrong, I had no idea. I can't even begin to express how truly happy I am that I chose Silverbrook, and I wouldn't change a single thing. I am so grateful to Dot and to Natalie for making our wedding day the most amazing day of our lives so far, and I would tell anyone considering a wedding here not to even think of any place else, because you can't do better. Silverbrook Farm was the absolute perfect venue for our small, intimate wedding of 25 guests. The home and yards are stunning alone, however, Dot is the cherry on top! Dot went above and beyond helping us plan the flow of the wedding day and our ceremony details (Dot was our officiant - highly recommend using her service). She made everything so easy by allowing us to use all decor and tableware she had in her storage shed. This was a huge relief not having to worry about rentals, etc. We were also able to set up/breakdown the entire week of our event - this is a huge plus! The breakfast the morning after our wedding was delicious and peaceful as well. Staying at Silverbrook feels like you're at home - thank you to Dot for opening your home as this amazing venue! It was everything we were looking for (plus some)! I cannot recommend Silverbrook Farm and Dot enough!

I truly cannot express how special this place is. It is otherworldly beautiful and Dot, the owner, makes you feel like a member of the family. Both my husband and I are from the west coast and not particularly religious, so among the question marks in planning our big day was who would marry us. When we discovered Silverbrook, we not only fell in love with this historic farm, but with Dot. We immediately felt as if we had known her for years and were delighted when we discovered that she officiates many of the wedding on her farm! In addition to the stunning views, this place is so well designed and prepared for weddings. Dot has two sheds full of decor, as well as a full floral station if you choose, as we did, to make your own arrangements. We used an assortment of her vintage vases for all of our flowers, antique furniture for cocktail hour and the reception, and mismatched antique china for dinner service - all at no additional cost or effort to us. Because of this we bought almost no wedding decor and the result was amazing. I also think maybe the most important benefit is the time given to the couple on their wedding weekend. Dot schedules only one wedding per weekend, which allowed us to begin setting up on Thursday and to return for clean-up on Monday. This provided us so much extra time with family and friends, reduced stress, and made us feel like the place was truly ours. It was so hard to leave this magical place at the end of our wedding weekend. We are already looking forward to our next visit! Our guests were stunned at the beauty of this place, and it was the perfect way to show our west coast guests the charm of the Virginia countryside. We looked at so many places and I just believe we were lucky enough to be married at Silverbrook. This place is a hidden gem and I can't recommend it enough.

In writing my glowing reviews for all of my vendors, I saved Silverbrook Farm for last because I honestly don't know where to start! It was the most perfect venue that I can possibly imagine for my wedding. The house, barn, and gardens are absolutely beautiful and the views are stunning- I haven't gotten my pictures yet, but I know that they are going to be amazing given the tremendous beauty of the place. It is so clearly a labor of love. What made my experience with Silverbrook Farm so outstanding, though, was truly the opportunity to work with Dot, the owner, and Lynn, my day-of coordinator. Throughout the entire planning process, both Dot and Lynn were responsive, professional, and coordinated perfectly with my other vendors (most of whom came recommended by Dot). As I was planning my wedding from out-of-town, this was so important to me- I never felt like I needed to worry about a thing. Dot and her team know how to plan a wedding, and they were so gracious in sharing their expertise with me and my parents. Dot also has an amazing collection of decor- everything from vases to bird cages to furniture- so I had to purchase very little for my wedding. Beyond her expertise, though, Dot was just a joy to work with. From the first email I sent inquiring about open dates, Dot gave my the feeling that she was genuinely excited about my wedding. On the day of my wedding, I felt cared-for and calm, knowing that Dot and Lynn had everything under control. Everything went off without a hitch, and it was just a joy to be able to walk from the reception back to the house for the night. All of our guests raved about the venue and the event, and Dot and Lynn played a huge roll in making it such a perfect and memorable day.

Everything was perfect and went exactly how we'd hope it'd go. It is a beautiful (and affordable) venue run by Dot - the nicest and most helpful wedding planner there is. She made everything very easy on us. Highly recommend it!

In hindsight, we can not imagine having had our wedding anywhere but Silverbrook. Dot has an incredible and gorgeous property that was the perfect backdrop for our ceremony and reception, and Lynn and Sherri did an outstanding job as day of coordinators. They are all three extremely nice and very easy and pleasant to work with. Silverbrook would be the perfect choice for a wedding on those strengths alone, but Dot really goes above and beyond to give couples a perfect weekend, including plenty of time to set up and prepare leading to a much less stressful experience. She was generous in allowing us to use items from her extensive collection of wedding decorations, and between that and the beauty of her property, we barely needed to do much decorating on our own. We also held our rehearsal dinner Friday evening at Silverbrook, which was a much more relaxed, comfortable, and enjoyable setting than if we had had to do it a restaurant. Our experience at Silverbrook could not have been better and led to an amazing wedding weekend. We would heavily, heavily recommend it. Take one visit here and you’ll be immediately at home.

We cannot recommend Silverbook highly enough. It was absolutely the best decision we made for our wedding. When we first visited, we knew immediately that Silverbrook was the perfect place after visiting a handful of other venues. Dot, the owner, is absolutely great to work with and she is very relaxed. She really makes the wedding planning process easy and fun for you, and goes out of her way to make sure you feel comfortable leading up to and on the wedding day. One of the biggest advantages of having your wedding at Silverbrook is that you can use facility all week for storage, delivers, set up, and the rehearsal dinner. Dot also has great taste in decorating and has on hand all sorts of beautiful pieces of furniture that you can use to decorate the venue inside and out, if needed. Silverbrook farm is an exquisite site! Our guests continue to complement the wedding location, and all enjoyed the ceremony performed by Dot. We love Silverbrook and are so happy to have found it during our search. It was the best choice we could have made.

Silverbrook Farm was an amazing venue to get married. The views are gorgeous. Dot the owner, is wonderful and so helpful. She served as our officiant too. We just love her so much. We look forward to going back and staying as guest in her B&B for special anniversaries. The breakfast she made us the morning after our wedding was delicious.
