Hi! I'm Eolian (aka Eos), an actively competitive ballroom dancer in NYC. I actually started ballroom dancing as an adult! So even though we are the current vice-champions of USA Dance Amateur Nationals, I remember well the feeling of stepping onto a floor with nothing but two left feet and nerves. Teaching wedding dances has turned me into an absolute cheesy romantic, and I absolutely love creating first dances with couples that fit their priorities, be it beautiful memories, stunning photographs, or skills that allow them to dance in the future. riously couldn't be happier. Our song was upbeat, and we're not dancers, so we knew we'd need some help. Scheduling was easy and flexible - we had some lessons on weekends and some on weeknights depending on our availability. Eolian was able to put together the perfect dance - it feels like us from top to bottom, and she has a superpower for getting it out of her couples while making the whole experience SO FUN the whole time. Like I said, we weren't dancers, so we had to learn some basic steps in addition to our specific choreography. I was nervous going in, but by the second lesson I would seriously look forward to going to dance lessons. Eolian is friendly and funny and professional and made us feel comfortable and safe while we were doing lifts and dips and dancing (poorly sometimes). I could keep singing Eolian's praises forever. She's all the things you want in a teacher, and also just generally super talented. Seriously. Stop reading and reach out. You've found the perfect instructor.

She was patient, fun, good at explaining herself, and could easily adapt on the fly if we were struggling to understand certain steps or lifts. She was always accommodating to our schedule and would be very responsive whenever we reached out with questions (which was very appreciated considering how busy she is). If you are looking for a hardworking, experienced, and talented dance instructor who is always very friendly and brings a positive vibe to her lessons, look no further than Eolian and Silvien Wedding Steps.

e we were (not just skill-wise, but comfort-wise) and build the choreography around that rather than forcing us into something that felt out of reach. Every move she taught us was explained clearly (even the ones we’d never heard of) and by the end it felt genuinely learnable rather than like we were just white-knuckling our way through it. The dance came together in a way that felt like us, and we ended up with some truly beautiful photos from it. Couldn’t recommend her more.

le to no dance experience, we were very nervous about doing a fully choreographed first dance (as opposed to simply swaying), but Eolian made it achievable and was able to tailor moves to our comfort and capability level. She was very patient with us as we were practicing, and we felt confident going into the dance. Our guests absolutely LOVED our first dance and it's a moment we will remember forever.

studio and found it very choreographed - we wanted to be more free and natural. I stumbled upon Silvien Wedding Steps and we bonded instantly! Eolian is extremely flexible to couples' style and wishes, helping us edit the song and come up with some signature dance moves to pull out if we were stuck. We had so much fun rehearsing and always ended up laughing the whole time. She always emphasized that it's about the feeling / memory you create rather than memorizing a bunch of steps. Highly recommend for non-dancers and dancers alike!
