We used Simma’s for our wedding cakes last summer and I would highly recommend. The tasting and planning process is very thorough/enjoyable! Delivery and the day of service was seamless as well. We chose the cheesecake and it was a amazing.

Our cake was both beautiful and tasty!! We had a great experience working with Simmas to create the perfect cake design and flavor.

We booked Simma's for our wedding cake and absolutely loved the decorations and flavors that we ended up choosing. Everyone raved about how good the cake was! Only thing is that communication is lacking a bit. I had to email and call multiple times over the course of a few weeks until I finally got in contact with someone. I understand that they're incredibly busy, but I would have appreciated at least a simple response of "we got your message, we'll reach out as soon as we can" instead of getting 3 weeks of silence.

we went a little crazy and had different flavors and fillings for different layers of the cake, they did amazing decorative work and the cake was delicious!!

Simma’s Bakery does not disappoint! The cake, cheesecake, cupcakes, and cookies were delicious! We had more than enough desserts for the number of guests we had, yet the dessert table was cleaned off quickly!

Simma’s bakery provided two delicious cakes for our wedding this past August. Their expertise showed when they had all the details ready for us at our tasting, and we fell in love with their flavors as well. So many of our guests commented on how excited they were to have a chocolate espresso wedding cake. We asked for a simple frosted cake decorated with fresh flowers, and Simma’s was happy to coordinate with our florist on the decorations. Overall, our cakes were executed wonderfully, and we cannot wait to pull our final slices out for our anniversary next August. We would definitely recommend working with Simma’s for anyone’s upcoming weddings.

They were so nice and helpful until there was an issue with my cake Wedding was 09/03/2022 I contacted them on their next business day. I advised Meredith that the cake did NOT taste as it did at the tasting she said she would call me back..2 day went by without a call. I called them back, they wanted a sample of the cake I brought them 1 1/2 of the cake they said they would get with their team and call back, that didn't happen, 24 hours later I call them back and spoke with Peggy an was told they tasted a cake that was 6 days old and nothing was wrong with the cake and sometimes people try returning the cake after the couples do not eat it all at the wedding. For the record I love love love cakes cupcakes, little Debbie cakes you name it an would/could eat most of the cake alone l also have 7 year old twins that loves cake an they would probably eat the rest lol but they also didn't like it.. My twins came with me to return the cake and she screams out " that cake was nasty" After speaking with Peggy, I felt like they didn't believe me an calling me a liar. I'm a christians women that believes in GOD and my spirit does not operate that way..They kept the cake and told me they could give me a 8"cake. NO! I will NEVER patronize your bakery again! Please be careful of the fake smiles and lovely attitudes! (I really thought they cared about making this cake an me having the best experience ever. Boy, was I wrong!

The dog ate the wedding cake!!! This past weekend was my brother-in-law’s wedding. For some reason, we had the cake that my wife’s aunt made at our house the night before the wedding and were responsible for its care and transport to the reception venue (why…?). The night of the rehearsal, I had decided to bite the bullet and take my 1-year old daughter home so my wife could enjoy the rehearsal dinner without worrying about her. When I got home, I let the dog out of her cage and walked upstairs for bedtime stories. Finally getting my daughter to sleep, I went down to make dinner, watch some tv, etc… After about 30 minutes, I noticed my dog was acting a little guilty about something. I thought maybe she had an accident or something so I did a quick spin around and didn’t notice anything. Then I looked at the table… Where there was a ravaged wedding cake top and cake crumbles everywhere. I felt like the camera of life zoomed in on my realization of what happened… Terrified and furious, I put/threw my dog into her cage, and did what any 35 year-old American male would do, alone, in a cake related emergency… “Call Mom!”… It took a few minutes to get my mother to stop laughing at my cliché wedding-movie problem… Wiping the tears from her eyes she told me she would call back in a few minutes. Within 15 minutes, I was texting the on-call Simmas bakery owner who was available using the “Wedding Cake Emergency Hotline” (yeah… I didn’t know that was a thing either). I gave him the specs of the cake-top using my tape measure and some pictures and he said they will get on it in the morning. First thing the next day, the baker let me know the cake was ready. It was perfect. Texture, buttercream frosting, size, everything. As a note, Simmas did not make the original cake, their team is just extremely talented and worked ridiculously fast for some random guy whose 40-pound golden doodle got courageous. When I asked how much it was… The owner WAIVED THE FEE ENTIRELY!!! And said, just take a picture of the reaction (which I wasn’t present for sadly). Just to clarify, my family has been going to Simmas for years because their cakes are amazing. The owner didn’t know who I was, but still saved a crucial part of a wedding. I always knew this bakery made amazing pastries and cakes, but now I know it’s run by a generous and wonderful team. I come from a very big family, and Simmas will be my, and more importantly my mom’s, grandma to 19 hungry children, go to bakery whenever the occasion calls. Thank you, Mark, Meredith, and the entire Simmas Family for saving the day!!! PS: the dog is fine, and my wife’s aunt laughed about it (on the outside), so I think I’m in the clear… for now

We were SO happy with the wedding cake we ordered from Simma's Bakery! We went with a two-tier round cake plus a couple sheet cakes for a reception of ~100 guests. It was so, so delicious! The raspberry filling with the mix of vanilla and chocolate layers was yummy... plus, the buttercream frosting is rich but oh so tasty! I was able to send a couple pictures of design ideas, and the final product turned out perfect. Looking forward to going back for our anniversary cake next year. :)

Simma's made our Wedding Cake and we could not have been happier! The cake looked beautiful and everyone was in love with their signature cheesecake and wanted to know where it was from! They were able to work with us on special food allergies and ensured everything went smoothly! Thanks for the delicious cake 🍰

Simma's is my favorite bakery in the Milwaukee area so it was an easy decision to use them for our wedding cake. The tasting was impressive, we got huge pieces of cake to try (and take home). They have so many flavors/combinations. We ended up going with a marble cake with chocolate mousse filling and it was absolutely delicious. We had multiple people telling us it was the best wedding cake they've ever had. The design of the cake was spot on an gorgeous, I was obsessed with how it looked and tasted!

We got married at The Ivy House on April 16, 2022. We did popsicles as a dessert for our guests, but we still wanted a traditional cake for ourselves and our wedding party. Simma’s is our favorite bakery in the area, so this was a no-brainer when we decided on having a cake. We went in for a tasting which answered all of our questions and was extremely helpful to the process. It was pretty hard to narrow it down to one flavor, but we eventually agreed on a delicious combination! We did a two-tier cake with fresh strawberries inside and blue painted decor to match our wedding colors. The cake arrived on time and in perfect condition. Everyone said it was delicious! We decided to save the top part and freeze it so we can enjoy it on our year anniversary. I can’t wait to eat more of it! Simma’s has a huge variety of flavors and options. You will not be disappointed in whatever you order from them! Best desserts around!

We got a small cutting cake from Simma's and were so impressed with the design! I shared 1 inspiration picture and they helped with suggestions based on what would work best while still making sure my vision came to life. Communication leading up to our wedding day and day of delivery want so smoothly. Highly suggest Simma's for any couples looking for unique cutting cake!

We absolutely LOVED our wedding cake! We chose a 4 tiered cake with 2 different flavors. We also had sheet cakes to have enough cake for all our guests. As always, the cake was DELICOUS! I wish we would've taken all the extras. We did not have any issue with delivery or set-up. My florist added a few flowers as well. If I would do it over again, I would still use this bakery 100%.

Simma's Bakery is phenomenal. From our cake tasting, to final consult, to our big day - everything was seamless. Our guests loved their signature cheesecake. Their communication was effortless and they made it so easy to do business with them. I highly recommend Simma's and can't wait to visit the bakery again soon.

Simmas Bakery was easy to work with and they really delivered on the wedding cake with as close as possible what I wanted it to look like. Cake was delicious and got positive feedback from guests which is what I cared about most.

Peggy at Simma's is so great to work with and is so incredibly talented with her wedding cakes! She even helped us special order an almond flavor for a more custom cake flavor and it was unbelievably tasty. Very fair pricing as well, and such high quality cakes!

Always delicious, amazing cheesecakes. We didn’t have any cake left over at the end of the night, and were told later that guests had gone up for seconds and thirds to try all the flavors of cheesecake we had displayed. The small two tier cake was sweet, with buttercream icing smooth on top and spiral granny iced on the bottom - with our florist/planner placing flowers on it too.

My daughter lives in Chicago and was planning a wedding in Milwaukee. Needless to say, it's hard to choose a bakery when you know nothing about it. Simma's Bakery was so easy to work with. They worked with the florist to produce a cake with some of the wedding flowers. The cake was simple, but elegant. I am not a fan of sweets, but that cake was the best I have ever tasted! It was moist with layers of amazing filling. I don't often find wedding cakes to be very tasty and often it is an afterthought. This cake was the main event!!! I have never been a cake person. For years I said that when I got married I wanted to have cherry pie instead. However, I fell in love with a cake-lover and caved to his wish to have a traditional tiered wedding cake. It was the best wedding planning decision we made. Our cake from Simma's (chocolate with raspberry Chambord mousse and fresh raspberries, simple white buttercream frosting) was hands down the best wedding cake I've ever tasted. Unbelievably delicious. I don't know how I'm going to wait a whole year to have our anniversary cake! On top of that, everyone there was very friendly and helpful, including when we had to postpone our wedding due to COVID. I also found their prices to be very reasonable (though of course wedding cakes don't come cheap), particularly compared to other highly rated cake bakers in the area. 100% recommend.

Simma's is a Milwaukee classic and will wow your guests! During the pandemic times, we got a 6'' cut cake (VERY reasonable) as well as individually boxed cheesecake squares for each guest. This was super easy to serve and everyone enjoyed it. We did the white cake with vanilla buttercream and fresh strawberries for the cut cake. Sounds simple but it is so fresh and not overly sweet like other bakeries. Thank you Simma's!

Simma's did a stunning job with our wedding cake! It looked beautiful and tasted amazing. Everyone was talking about how great the cake was. We did a genoise cake with raspberry and lemon mousse as well as some cheesecake. Yum!

If you are from Wauwatosa/Milwaukee you know that Simma's is THE BEST. We got so many compliments on our cheesecake. Everyone wanted thirds!!! We did not want to do a traditional cake or cake cutting so we did sheets of cheesecake and it was honestly the best. I highly recommend it!! It was surprisingly affordable for such great quality.

As always, Simma's does an amazing job with their cakes. Their red velvet and cream cheese cake is a favorite of ours, so we knew we needed to have it for our wedding cake. We had rave reviews at our wedding about the cake. We wanted a simple design for our cake and Simma's created our vision perfectly!

We hired Simma's Bakery to do the desserts for our wedding. We had a cheesecake for our wedding party and mini desserts for our guests. The cheesecake was incredible (as usual), and the guests really enjoyed the mini desserts! All were delicious. Simma's staff were easy to work with, they gave very generous samples at our tasting session, everything was delivered on time and looked beautiful. We were very happy with all of our desserts!

Simma's was excellent! The cake was amazing and everyone loved it. Will use them again in the futures for birthdays and other celebrations.

We ordered cupcakes and a single tier cake from Simma's and they were amazing! They worked with us to pick the exact flavors and styles and helped work through changes a month out. Only reason for the 4 out of 5 stars is that it would have been nice to have them set up the cupcakes for us at the venue.

Instead of a traditional wedding cake, we chose to do the mini assorted desserts. They were incredible! All of our guests were raving about how delicious they were. Because we weren’t able to have a reception, we had Simma’s drop the desserts off at the church. We packaged hem up ourselves and had our guests take the desserts home after the ceremony. We also had ordered a cake for my in-laws for their anniversary (which is one day after our wedding). They were so surprised and the cake was perfect! Thank you for giving us a special way to celebrate! We loved working with you!

We got our October 2020 wedding cakes through Simma’s. We went with two flavors because we just couldn’t choose - their flavors are that amazing! All of our guests thought the cakes were absolutely delicious. We highly recommend this bakery for any event.

Their 5 tier cheese cake we had as our wedding cake was a HUGE success, with guests raving it was the best cake they’ve ever had and how beautiful it was decorated. From the tasting appointment (super fun) to the finalization appointment, Simma’s made our dream wedding cake come true.

Our wedding was 10.3.20 and even 11 days after we are sfill having people tell us how amazing our cake was. I am not a cake person but our wedding cake was so delicious and everything we wanted. this cake was amazing! everyone said it was the best cake they had ever had! they were a bit late for delivery so we had to do some fancy foot work to have an available person there to let them in, but in covid 2020 I couldn't have asked for anything better. we also didnt have a clear plan for the decorating but with what we supplied it was beautiful! everything I ever wanted!

Simma’s is amazing! We went there for a wedding cake tasting. We got to try four different cakes of our choice. The pricing is very reasonable and they did all the delivery even on a holiday. They were spot on when it came to how much we should buy. We didn’t have so much left over but also didn’t have too little for guests. We were able to change the design of the cake up to a month before the wedding. They exceeded my expectations and mimicked my Pinterest picture! Would definitely recommend Simma’s!

We ordered a marble cake with a layer of yellow, a layer of chocolate, and raspberry filling. It was delicious! We got a lot of compliments on the cake. The outside of the cake was also beautiful and looked exactly like the design we picked out. Highly recommend!

Even long before I got married I knew I would want to have a Simmas cheesecake as my wedding cake. We went with the five tier cheese cake with buttercream frosting and it turned out amazing. So easy to work with, which was great because all of their cakes were amazing, which made it hard to decide! We ended up choosing 4 different flavors of cupcakes for our guests, and then a small wedding cake for us two. We went with an unconventional cake/filling/icing combination for the wedding cake, but it was no issue for the skilled hands of Simma's Bakery - it literally turned out sooooo good. Can't wait for our anniversary so we can eat the rest of the cake!

We got a ton of compliments on our beautiful cake. We got alternating layers of original cheesecake and layers of yellow cake with strawberries. The entire cake was covered in chocolate ganache. Everyone was so easy to work with, the cake was delivered on time, and I would highly recommend Simmas!

When picking Simma's as our cake choice, I thought we'd be getting cheesecake, because I thought that was the only thing they had, however, I was very wrong. We ended up picking a yellow cake with raspberry mousse filling. It was the best cake I've ever had. The service at the two appointments was great. They weren't pushy at all. I have been going to Simma's bakery since I was 2 years old for a cheesecake for my birthday. Now I am 26 years old and knew that I wouldn't have it any other way than using Simma's for my wedding bakery. I worked with Peggy and Chrissy to see my dreams unfold. They were available for multiple calls during the day and helped me late at night decide how to lay everything out on the dessert table. They let us try our desserts, and gave suggestions on switching out items to get our money's worth and give the guests a good product. We decided on a 2-tier cake with cheesecake on the bottom and a genoise cake with raspberry filling. This was surrounded on our dessert table with seasonal pies (blueberry, cherry, pumpkin, pecan chocolate chip), mini pecan tarts, and apple bars. Our guests were very impressed by the setup as well as the taste of everything. From start to finish I can say that have been beyond impressed with Simma's quality and helpful staff. I will be going to Simma's annually to get an anniversary dessert for sure.

We were last-minute planners and waited about a month before our wedding to think about our cake. Simma's was easy to work with. They got us in for tasting and finalization appointments right away, gave us plenty of options to choose from to accommodate our guest count, and beautifully recreated a design we liked. The end result was a tasty cake (poppy seed cake with lemon mousse and buttercream frosting) and a happy couple! The only thing I wish we had were more frosting flavor options, but we were so happy with our cake that we wouldn't have chosen anything different!

Peggy worked with me the entire process from setting up a fun cake tasting experience to providing insight on cake combinations and sizing. It was a very simple and stress free process. All of my guests absolutely raved about the cakes! We did a vanilla genoise for our main wedding cake and chocolate mouse ganache sheet cakes so guests had 2 options. They were both delicious! And our main wedding cake was beautiful

Our cake from Simma's was absolutely delicious and our guests loved it! We did a smaller display cake with sheet cakes in the kitchen to keep the price of our cake in our budget. Simma's was very good with working within our budget to help us get the cake that we really wanted. We combined a couple of ideas that we saw and they were able to create a cake for us that was beautiful. We of course got the original cheesecake which will always be a hit when it's served and then we went with something that was a favorite of ours. We did a marble cake with Mocha mousse and raspberry filling. Both cakes were absolutely delicious and we were very pleased with our decisions. If you are thinking of doing cheesecake for your wedding Simma's is definitely the obvious choice!
