d need for our timelines. She worked closely with our wedding planner to make sure that we had a timeline that reflected what we wanted for the different parts of our day. Joie did not have to do a lot of the things that she did but she always went above and beyond to make sure that we were well taken care of. On our wedding day, she transported my reception dress from the hotel to the venue because there was no one else to do it because everyone was going to rideshare to the venue. We love looking back at our wedding photos and reliving every moment from the day. Joie captured it perfectly and even had some beautiful creative shots that we did not anticipate! This year, Joie also hosted some fall photo minis and we were so happy that we had to chance to catch up with her again and can't wait for her to capture some more milestones for us.

She's like a photo ninja as she quietly composes her shots because I literally do not remember her being present for some things but she's quite the efficient bubbly gal I needed to get us through family formals and to help move our day along. d’ve made it through my big day without her reminding me to breathe and to drink water! She also has an amazing second shooter! Nancy literally ran back and forth in 100 degree weather to get things from the groomsmen to our bridal suite! Even though it was such a hot day, Joie was able to move us through poses quickly and got some amazing photos of us and our family and friends! Last but certainly not least, Joie is a little dancer and got down with my girls and I! We had the best time ever and I love looking back at my wedding album!

g photos. We didn’t have a wedding planner because the venue also offered a day of coordinator. They were great with actual “day of” things but Joie really helped us build our timeline so that we can make the most of the coverage time but also so that the day would flow naturally from ceremony to photos to the reception. If you’re looking for a professional photographer who is also very knowledgeable about other wedding details, Joie is your girl! She is not only very talented in photography and very professional, we had the best day full of inside jokes! She even helped me bustle my dress for the reception because my mom forgot how it worked! We can’t wait to hire her again for our other milestones!

idn’t quite have easy access for photos! Joie scouted the area ahead of time and new exactly where to take us to get some beautiful photos nearby that you would not believe were taken at the venue! She has this incredible eye and was so creative! We were so surprised when we received our images that she had created those images where she did! She is also an amazing photoshop wizard even though she’s pretty modest about it — I noticed several outlets and electrical cords gone from images and she even cleaned out little things on the walls that didn’t make sense in the composition of the photo! Joie was worth every penny we invested and we could not have asked for a better person to spend our big day with!

When 2020 rolled around and everything shut down, we were so happy that she was able to move her services to 2021 with us but by 2021, we were still not able to have the wedding we wanted because of the guest size we wanted! She then again worked with us to move our date to 2022! Joie was so easy to work with, helped us move our day along, and she kept us calm even when we thought something went wrong. We love our photos and could not have asked for a more professional and friendly person to work with! She was so professional and even though she was a couple months pregnant at our wedding, she didn't let it slow her down in order for her to get the shot we wanted. We are so lucky have had the opportunity to work with Joie and would love to recommend her to anyone getting married!

edding date! We were so lucky we found her when we did because Joie helped us tie up loose ends on our timeline and gave us ideas on best photo times and scenarios. We were also able to squeeze in a beautiful engagement session in San Francisco. We loved the city but Joie gave us some great insights on where to actually take the photos. On our wedding day, Joie was very thoughtful and made sure to take care of us all day long! We think its amazing that she was able to capture some of the candids that we wouldn't even have thought possible during our ceremony and reception and then gave us some absolutely dreamy sunset portraits! We can't thank Joie enough for the wonderful job that she did capturing our memories but more so than anything, treating us like we were friends and family and making the day feel so natural!

date changes. We still have not seen all our photos, but the ones we have seen are gorgous. My fiance does not like posing for photos, so she worked quickly to get our posed shots and for the rest of the night she captured candid shots. Joie is very friendly, fun, professional, and has some flashy dance moves. She made a point to know who everyone is, what shots we wanted with our group, and had some ideas that we never would have thought of. m a heavier set lady and one of my biggest concerns was trying to find a photographer who has worked with all body types and different kinds of people and willing to see my vision for the photos and angles that I will feel most flattering in. Joie was a dream come true to work with and I feel fabulous in all my photos because she made sure to boost my confidence with her words during the day but more so, working with me to get my best angles. I loved how she knew simply how to pose my husband and I so that I will feel my best! Aside from getting flattering images of myself, I will also have to say, she's the only photographer I've ever seen go above and beyond to make sure we have different shots from our ceremony. Many of my friends who were married before me were also excited to see that there was more than just your typical from the back of the aisle shots. I know Joie shared with us in our consultation that she would be using a zoom lens to capture the ceremony so that she would not interfere with our ceremony but I was so surprised to see the kinds of shots of me looking at my husband as we exchanged vows as well as my husband crying during the ceremony. I think that one main thing that sets Joie apart from a lot of other photographers that I interviewed before we hire her is how much she truly cares about seeing our vision and working with us to make sure she captures it. She did an amazing job with helping us plan our photography timeline to work with the rest of the day, and we had plenty of time to steal away for additional sunset photos. I can't wait to hire Joie again and again for other sessions into the future!!

just moved to the bay area and she was available on our wedding date. Our images are so colorful and candid. Joie is so funny and very easy to work with and our photos look so natural!
