Simple Simon Bakery

Recommended to us by our neighbors who got married a month before us and amazing to work with! They matched our vision for our small cutting cake and the sheet cakes we served guest were delicious. They accurately helped us estimate how much cake we would need and ended up with zero sheet cakes left at the end of the night!

We had Simple Simon make our wedding cake and it was delicious and looked beautiful! We picked the bourbon salted caramel for our cake so they did a chocolate base with the bourbon salted caramel as the filling and then a white almond frosting to cover it. So good, we didn't want to put the fork down.

My cake was beyond delicious and was everything I hoped it would be! Simple Simon made the entire process worry free and delivered it to my venue without any issues.

They were very easy to work with. We had 4 flavors of cupcakes and everyone loved them! The crowd favorite was the caramel apple flavored ones. We had a beautiful small carrot cake for the bride and groom and it was lovely. Dawn made the whole process very smooth.

At my initial cake appointment, I covered everything I wanted with the cake specialist down to the flavors of each tier, the modified height of the tiers, and delivery. I put a deposit down of $350 this same day. During my finalizing appointment, two weeks before my wedding, I showed up and the coordinator (a different one from the first appointment) asked, "so, what are we thinking?" I came to find out that NONE of the original documentation was saved from my first appointment and the excuse was, "you must not have put down a deposit at the time of the appointment, if a client doesn't do this then I don't save the paperwork and notes because it screws up my organization to keep unsecured orders in my file." HOW RIDICULOUS! I paid $350 to secure nothing? I felt like I had wasted an hour and a half of my time, and caused myself a whole lot of stress due to laziness. In the end, I wasn't served the flavor of cake I wanted at our wedding (the top tier wasn't the right flavor) all because I was put on the spot at my final consult and didn't bring my official binder with me that has all of my notes, expecting the vendor to have done their job and keep the notes from the first meeting. The things this vendor did well was deliver the correct ordered cakes to the venue on time. Will I order another large bakery order from this vendor again? Probably not. I was very unimpressed.

We booked Simple Simon Bakery for our wedding this winter and the cakes were absolutely perfect! The bakery surpassed all of our expectations with the cake taste and appearance. We decided on a six inch cutting cake for my husband and I and sheet cakes for the guests. We were able to try several flavors while planning and they all were incredible – we did tastings with other bakeries in Green Bay and none even tasted close to as good as those at Simple Simon. We also really appreciated that Simple Simon suggested additional details for our cake, like glitter on top that really made it look amazing - and it tasted even better than it looked! Highly recommend!

We worked with Dawn and Jenny at Simple Simon's and we are so happy we did! They made us feel extremely comfortable that things would be taken care of without us having to double check their work. They set up our cake and cupcakes and made everything look absolutely stunning - but most importantly, it was delicious!

DO NOT send this company a message on the knot unless you want an advertisement sent to you every other day for the rest of your life. I can't find a way to block them from sending stuff to me and all I did was ask for a quote. I've never been here but their constant add make me not want to support this company. every message they send goes to my messages here and my email so I get 2 notifications.

Though we haven't gotten to have our true wedding cake yet, Simple Simon has been great to work with and understanding in us having to postpone our wedding twice. They have very reasonable prices and deals for a small tiered cake, and multiple sheet cakes. We tried many bakeries in the area, and this one was the only that had true and natural fruit flavors for their cakes. We are looking forward to tasting our wedding cake when the time comes.

We chose Simple Simon Bakery to do our wedding and sheet cakes for our big day. We were very please with the outcome of the cake. Our guests LOVED the carrot cake, and we heard so many comments on how moist the cake was. Dawn was very friendly and helpful with any questions we had. It’s a bit pricey it worth it.

Absolutely loved working with Simple Simon. Their flavors are fantastic and it was such an easy process. Our cake was designed to look like a birch tree and everyone thought it was awesome and real looking. The fondant that created the bark was thin enough to look like the bark was peeling. Highly recommend carrot flavor.

I was really determined to get as many local vendors as I could, and Simple Simon's and Dawn exceeded every expectation I could have had. I didn't have a lot of preference on the style and design of the cupcakes and our cutting cake, and they let their creativity fly! It was beautiful and received tons of compliments. They also made an awesome curling rock grooms cake that my husband was ecstatic about. Easily one of the best vendors I worked with for the wedding - I cannot recommend their services enough!

Simple Simon Bakery was great to work with for our wedding dessert needs. We chose Simple Simon because of the partnership they had with our event space (Hyatt Regency). It was easy to coordinate delivery times and payment. There were a lot of options to choose from for your wedding cake (and dessert needs). We ended up doing a two tier cake with a design of simple elegance and clean lines. Our florist then added cake flowers to tie everything in together. For our guests we went with sheet cakes. It was perfect because we could choose multiple different flavors for our guests. They really allowed us to customize completely to our needs. The one challenge I had was responsiveness and flexibility to meet in person. We do not live in the Appleton/Green Bay area so it was hard to meet during their business hours. There was not a lot of flexibility to meet outside their set "wedding planning" hours. We were able to coordinate a Saturday appointment and email back and forth, but it would have been nice to see a little more accommodation for those that did not live in the area. Overall though the cake was great and it tasted amazing. Definitely would recommend others to consider Simple Simon Bakery!

We hired Simple Simon to provide cupcakes, donuts, and a 2 tier cutting cake for our wedding in Sept 2018.....we couldn't have been more pleased with these ladies from start to finish. The desserts were SO SO good....almost a year later and we still hear from guests about how delicious everything was. I can not recommend Simple Simon enough.....they are incredibly affordable and did the most perfect job. Thank you again!

We had cheesecake at our wedding. There were multiple flavors to choose from, the cakes were pre-cut, easy to self serve, and ordering and delivery were stress free! Would highly recommend looking into Simple Simon Bakery for a variety of tasty treats!

We hired Simple Simon's to cater our wedding dessert bar. They have always been a family favorite bakery and we decided they would be the perfect bakery to leave a sweet taste in our guests mouths after dinner to remember the night on. We had a mix of cupcakes, brownies, and cookies and they were all done extremely well and placed out in a wonderful display.

Simple Simon created the desserts for our wedding and they were phenomenal! We did an entire dessert bar, with cake, cupcakes, cheesecake, donuts, donut holes, brownies, cookies, and more. They organized everything and set it up just perfectly. We loved it!

Simple Simon Bakery did a wonderful job with our dessert for our wedding. We ordered mini cupcakes, mini pies and cookies. Everything looked and tasted fantastic and they went super fast! They were super helpful and easy to work with.

We had a great dessert table for our wedding. 8 different types of mini cupcakes, cream puffs and 3 types of donut holes. It was a hit with our guests! Rented display stands from them as well which looked great and saved us the headache of shopping for stands. Also had Simple Simon do cupcakes for our rehearsal dinner. Very pleased with the quality, presentation, and service.

We did a dessert buffet and a small top tier cake. Good prices for large amounts. The guests loved the options and the top tier cake was sooo cute! Simple Simon was very easy to work with. I took one star off because they almost forgot a bunch of cookies in my order. Thankfully my friend who was picking the order up noticed and didn't leave until they corrected the order. I also thought the cookies were a bit dry and crunchy but I think that is a personal preference. I would book them again!!!

We had them make a small two tier cutting cake, and it was absolutely perfect! We also had an assortment of 25 cheesecakes, which were so delicious! Everything was great, except having to wait 30 minutes past my appointment time before someone helped me with my consultation. definitely recommend

I requested Simple Simon Bakery to make our wedding cake. Their prices are very reasonable. They have a lot of options with what you can do with your cake but we went with a traditional look. We had a small round cake just for us while our guest got sheet cake, we had three flavors i highly recommend the carrot cake. The cake arrived on time I had no problems with communication if i had questions or concerns they were very quick to respond.

The only positive I have to say, is that they make good tasting cake. I disliked everything else. Every time we had a meeting with Simple Simon staff, we met with a different person and had to re-explain how we wanted our cake (the design, the flavors, the decorations, round or square, tiered or not), how many people it was for, we wanted a cake not cupcakes, etc. We were also told that it was going to be delivered by certain staff (Dawn) that would decorate our cake at the venue with our own decorations, but instead we had an 18-year-old boy bring our cake and state he didn't know how to decorate the cake and said we had to do it ourselves. Dawn was also very rude to us when we met with her. It was a very frustrating experience. Definitely not what we paid for.

We found Simple Simon Bakery to provide the most reasonably priced high quality wedding cakes. We felt immediately welcome at their bakery, despite not booking an appointment they were super accommodating and we had a great initial meeting with them. They were also very generous with samples to try which the family appreciated! They also were really open to our cake design ideas and helped come up with a final product we loved (and tasted great). Definitely recommend to anyone in Appleton!

Simple Simon's was a great bakery to find for our wedding cake. We were able to have a consultation and try 6 flavors in order to know what we wanted. They were great at allowing us to try other flavors as well when we couldn't decide! I did have a final appointment set up where the lady in charge of cakes did not show up, but another staff member quickly stepped in to answer any questions or concerns I had. Our guests loved that we had different flavored cakes for them to enjoy! We can't wait to eat our delicious carrot cake on our first anniversary!

Dawn is fantastic! She recreated exactly how we wants our cupcakes displayed. We had a cheesecake topper which was delicious and designed along with our theme of wedding. Highly recommended!

We highly recommend Simple Simon! They are so easy to work with and the cake was awesome! We heard rave reviews from the guests, especially about the carrot cake and German chocolate! Our decorative cake was also exactly what I envisioned! We were also thrilled with the value.

Working with Simple Simon was so easy and fun(when is tasting cakes not fun?!)!! They designed a beautiful cake that was so moist and delicious.

This place is a must for your wedding or party! I did a variety of desserts and a cutting cake. We had cupcakes,pies, brownies, cookies, pies, and cheesecake. It was enough for 250 people and all under 300.00! I sent a picture to them how I wanted the table. The way the table look was more than I ever imagined! We got so many compliments!

Simple Simon Bakery did a fabulous job on the cupcakes and cheesecakes for our wedding. The cupcakes and cheesecakes were flavorful and tasty. They were easy to work with and let us do a tasting to select our favorites. The set up was very cute and made the dessert table look fancy.

Cake was beautiful and exactly as I wanted it to look. I was able to get each tier a different flavor and each one was delicious.

We did a 7" inch cake on every table plus our two-tiered cake for the head table so total of 20 cakes. Simple Simon did an amazing job helping us determine how to decorate each cake and the flavors. They are turned out amazing. We got so many complements on the cakes. Service was amazing. So many great flavors to choose from. Very reasonably priced. Would recommend to anyone getting married in the Appleton Area.

We had a very large wedding and used them for our cupcakes and small cutting cake. It was amazing! Everything tasted great and they did a wonderful job setting up. I heard about them through word of mouth and I'm so happy I listened. They are very inexpensive especially for how wonderful everything turned out. Their cupcakes are large and they looked beautiful. I will continue to spread the word!!!

I was somewhat saddened that I did not get to try all the flavors at the wedding because the guests ate them all but just a few! I had many questions at where I got them because they were very fresh, tasty, and delicious. They were the most affordable while being absolutely delicious, even though I missed out on many flavors. We had cupcakes and would recommend them to EVERYONE!

We had a 3-tier birch bark themed wedding cake that turned out perfect. My only concern was before the big day it seemed a little disorganized as they were transitioning workers. So I got a couple calls for the same information that made me a little worried. It all turned out perfect in the end and simply delicious and even better...a low price!

the people here are all pleasant and the products are just the best. the best part is the quality for the price. we definitely didn't have anyone at our wedding passing on the cake!

Cupcakes tasted and looked great!

The cake creators really know what they were doing. First of all the cakes are delicious. I wasn't a huge fan of the vanilla, but their red velvet is on point- especially with ice cream. It's great how they had so many good ideas for what we had to tell them. I wish I could post a picture because it was so pretty. You may have to bring in a couple things (flowers, toppers, ect.) but they have wreaths and other items that they use often there. I would recommend this place

The staff at Simple Simon Bakery were very professional and helpful along the way in the wedding planning process. They were very calm and informational during our first meeting and had great pictures to share. They came across very experienced and I felt confident leaving the set up to them the day of the wedding. We were able to rent their trays and stands for a total of 10 dollars after the rebate for returning the stands. We had a variety of desserts including brownies, cheesecakes, eau claires, and wedding cake. We were very pleased with the taste and appearance of the final product. They were very flexible with our ideas. They allowed us to have a variety of flavors for each of the above items. Very Pleased.

There food is fabulously delicious. But I had to send them an email with my info and a picture of what I wanted three times because they kept losing it. They also tried to get me to pay after I had already paid the full balance. Very disorganized but delicious and worth it!

The cake tasted amazing. Working with the people went well as well. The only problem I had with them was the fact we had writing on our cake and it wasnt that good....it was sloppy and not as "pretty" as I would have liked writing on my wedding cake to be. The cost was very reasonable.

Prices are reasonable, the people are super sweet and the swell when you walk in the door is AMAZING. They made butter cream look like fondant and it tasted wonderful. They also did my grooms cake.

I had my wedding cake done by Simple Simon and was very pleased. It was recommended to me by another bride and I'm glad I took her advice! The staff was very easy to work with, the cake turned out beautiful and all of the flavors were amazing!

This family bakery is fantastic! They were more than happy to help us with our out-of-town wedding -- we knew we were in good hands and that our cake would be amazing. We loved all of our samples but we selected three options for our three tiered cake. It was beautiful and so delicious. *While we were in to drop off our flowers and ribbon, we bought a box of other sweet treats and they were all delicious :) Definitely the best valued item for our wedding - you can't go wrong with this bakery!

The cake and decorating was to die for! Exactly how we imagined it and then some! Great price for whatever flavors you want! Their butter cream icing is also to die for!! Even tastes great 3 weeks afterwords!

We were pretty laid back when it came to our cake. It wasn't a top priority and we didn't want to spend a whole lot. We found the cake at Simple Simon to be absolutely delicious (our guests raved about the red velvet) and they were very reasonably priced. They did a good job executing my vision for the cake itself and made some beautiful sugar flowers for me since the real ones weren't in season. The cake arrived on time but one side has a slight dip in it that we just conveniently placed the sugar flower on top of - not a huge deal. They are great if you want delicious cake that is priced well and don't care a whole lot if it looks like a perfect, glorious wedding cake.
