Amelia was absolutely the best hair stylist that I could have asked for on my big day! During the hair trial she was so patient and kind and listened attentively to what I envisioned looking like on my big day! She even recommended hair extensions and helped me find them on Amazon to make sure everything was perfect. The day of the wedding she arrived promptly and was an absolute delight to be there with us while getting ready. Amelia was the most amazing person to work with. She can recreate any photo from Pinterest, she is a true artist. From the trial to the wedding day she was so helpful & quick to reply with any of my questions! Amelia provided a couple of options for extensions as well to make my hair look fuller. In the trial she took tons of photos & videos which helped a ton when deciding on the day-of look. She also sent out a mock timeline to help me organize the wedding morning, which was amazing. Her & her team did a beautiful job on all my bridesmaids, mother of the bride, & mother of the groom. Everyone’s hair lasted all night long. Amelia created the most perfect Hollywood curls that held up even through 85 degree weather & doing the worm on the dance floor. I could not recommend anyone better!

Working with Christy for my hair for my wedding day was the BEST experience. I knew I wanted to book with her and was so glad when I was able to work with her!!! I have long and fine hair that doesn’t really want to hold any style, and really wanted her amazing glam waves she does. She made it happen!!! My hair held up ALL NIGHT. It was like magic, truly. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Christy and her salon and staff. Not only is she the SWEETEST human being you will ever meet, her work is absolutely flawless. I am extremely picky with hair, but let me tell you, Christy delivered everything I could have dreamed of and more for my wedding day. I was obsessed. Also, my best friends hair does not hold curl and she always loathes getting her hair done for weddings because her curls fall and her hair doesn’t hold. Every girl who was styled by her was blown away. I was referred to her by my cousin who used her for her wedding and now my one bridesmaid is using her for her wedding! Also her team was wonderful. Kara from Simply Captivating was the lead hair stylist for my July 2024 wedding and she and her colleague did the hair for me and my bridesmaids. They were professional, kind, and provided great services! Very pleased with the choice and would absolutely recommend.

From the very beginning, simply captivating salon was a breeze to work with. While searching Instagram endlessly for the right hairstylist for my wedding day, I knew the moment I stumbled upon their work that I’d have to go with them (specifically Amelia!). They’re professional, attentive to your wishes and needs and incredibly talented. When we did my trial I was so impressed I couldn’t think of a single thing to change and Amelia replicated the look flawlessly on my wedding day. My mom and bridesmaids all looked gorgeous and were truly happy with their looks. I’d choose them 100x over!

One of the best decisions I made was hiring Simply Captivating, and specifically Kara, for my June 2024 wedding. Kara was absolutely fantastic! She understood my vision during our trial run, and she created a beautiful half-up/half-down style for me. I have very curly hair that can be challenging to work with, but Kara styled it perfectly and it did not frizz or fall out the entire day, from 10a at my parents' house, to the church in the afternoon, to 10p on the dance floor at the reception (despite the fact that it was in the 90s!). She also did an amazing job with my mom's and bridesmaids' hair. I cannot recommend Kara and Simply Captivating enough, especially if you have curly hair!

You need Simply Captivating for your wedding day! My wedding planner recommended them and I am so glad I decided to book their services. They are the go-to wedding hairstyle professionals. My bridesmaids and I felt so beautiful and confident walking down the aisle. I had each of my bridesmaids bring inspo pics to show their stylist, and both Amelia and Michelle executed the styles beautifully. They were also so much fun to have with us the morning of the wedding. Christy was wonderful and easy to work with throughout the whole booking process too. I cannot recommend this group enough!

I had Amelia and Kara do my bridal party hair and they were both incredible to work with and beyond talented at what they do. Amelia did my hair, and as the bride, it’s just one of those things you want to be perfect for all the pictures you will be in on your wedding day, and she absolutely killed it. Christy and Michelle at Simply Captivating were amazing to work with! They took our inspiration and made it a reality for our wedding day. I specifically wanted Hollywood waves, and I researched diligently to find a salon that could execute that style the best, and let me tell you Simply Captivating is that salon. Christy was so accommodating for the hair trial too, making a trip to my home to get it done. She helped me through the process on what extensions to buy and really understood my vision for my wedding day hair. Christy and team are also the kindest people you can work with, which makes the day that much more enjoyable. Everything turned out better than I could have imagined. We were so happy with Kara at Simply Captivating! She did hair for all 8 of us (including a 4 year old) and everyone was so happy with the end results. She was able to understand what each person wanted and execute their visions perfectly. She was very professional and kind at the same time and we felt everything from start to finish with planning and the wedding day itself went seamlessly. Amelia and Michelle did such a wonderful job styling my own hair and my bridesmaid's hair for my wedding day. I chose a low bun option with pieces left out in the front. Amelia executed the style perfectly! She was able to attach some hair pieces that I purchased around the bun as well, and they looked great with style! She even taught my maid of honor how to remove the veil for after the ceremony which was super helpful! As for the bridesmaids, each stylist took her time and made sure their up-dos were perfect. They were both friendly and professional as well. I would highly recommend these stylists!

Christy did the hair for my wedding at the beginning of June 2024. I cannot express how great she was to work with and how incredible everyone's hair looked. She truly made the day so much more special, and I could go into the wedding day with ease knowing that she would be able to tackle the style I wanted! Amelia did my hair for wedding day and did an amazing job!! I wanted to do glam waves, and she was such a help when committing to this style. I ended up using clip in extensions to achieve more fullness for the look. She took her time during the trial, taking note of how the style looked and what adjustments might need to be made wedding day. My hair was absolutely beautiful, as were my bridesmaids. I wouldn’t have wanted to book with anyone else, as this salon always has wonderful reviews. I knew I would be satisfied! Disclaimer: although I absolutely loved my hair, glam waves require a lot of teasing to accomplish, maintenance, and attention throughout the day. By the end of the night my hair was extremely tangled from all the movement, sweating, extensions, etc. I would just keep this is mind before selecting this particular style, and be prepared for the aftermath. Amelia is very talented and can create any style you love!

Working with Simply Captivating was incredible. Amelia is AMAZING!!!! My updo was everything I hoped for. This is her forte for sure. I really liked how good she was at communicating. I hired Simply Captivating to do hair for myself and my bridal party. Everything from the response to my initial inquiry email to working with her on the day of my wedding, was exceptional. At all times Christy was professional, attentive, and personable. My initial hair trail was one of the most relaxing experiences throughout the entire wedding planning process. I felt she truly listened to me and did an excellent job of executing my vision. My bridal party was made up of all different kinds of hair types and lengths and she managed to make everyone feel and look beautiful. On the day of my wedding, she was early to setup and worked very well with the make-up artist in order to ensure that everyone had plenty of time for hair and makeup without being rushed. I myself never once felt rushed or stressed and Christy did an amazing job of making me feel special and beautiful on my wedding day. Not to mention, everyone’s hair stayed perfectly styled throughout the evening. I would 100% recommend Christy and her entire team.

A Happy Sept 23, 2023 Bride! I chose Simply Captivating Salon because of the outstanding reviews and noticing other brides who have used them in the Pittsburgh area in the past all over social media. As soon as I inquired, Christy reached out to me to start the booking process and answer any questions. I was lucky enough to book with one of the lead stylists, Kara, who was quick to respond to any of my emails / texts. Kara and Christy were so accommodating when I needed to add my mother in law late notice and helping me plan my day of hair schedule. When we had my hair trial I wasn't as prepared as I wanted to be. I kept going back and forth on the hair style I wanted on my wedding day since its such a huge decision. I also wasn't set on my hair accessories (which I actually ended up changing). Kara was honest with her opinion and helped me decide as I am super indecisive. I truly valued her opinion. I got to know Kara during my hair trail and was even more excited to have her as my hair stylist on one of the biggest days of my life. She is easy to chat with and very personable, and also shares the same love as I do for coffee! :) On wedding day, Kara & Haley arrived right on time and happy as can be. I felt comfortable telling Kara what I wanted differently on the day of vs. my trail. My hair turned out exactly how I imagined it. Each bridesmaid loved their styles and enjoyed Kara and Haley. Amelia and Michelle were absolute perfection! Not only professional and kind but absolute artist who went above and beyond to make all the girls look absolutely stunning. Getting ready with them was not only easy, but just so much fun. From the second I booked this team I was over the moon excited, but what made it even better was hearing all of the girls reactions when they saw what their looked like! I have fine hair but wanted it to have lots of texture and volume, not only did Amelia accomplish that but it stayed in ALL NIGHT LONG! As for my girls, everyone wanted an updo and with all different types of hair and ideas boy did Michelle and Amelia take that and crush it. Helping give insight to the girls of what would work best, they all looked flawless. Not only that, but every single updo stayed in. I have heard from so many of my guests how beautiful and elegant everyone’s glam was, and that is a huge testimony to this team. I could never recommend them enough to anyone. My bridal party included girls with so many different hair textures, from super thick and long, to thin and short, to naturally curly. Simply Captivating did my sister's wedding two years ago, and it was a no-brainer for me to contact them for my wedding too. Christy and her team made me and my bridal party feel beautiful yet still ourselves. I have very thick and long hair, and it looked beautiful all day and night long (even despite a surprise rain shower!). My bridal party looked stunning as well, and we got compliments from guests all night long! They helped me create my day-of timeline, which took a lot of stress off of me. Christy did an amazing job! She was very responsive to emails and experienced with naturally curly hair, which is very hard to find. She was able to use my natural curls and made it feel like the best version of my natural style. Our bridal party had a range of waves, half updos, braids, buns, etc. and Christy rocked them all and they looked great all night! I never worried about my hair coming undone and would highly recommend.

I got on Simply Captivating Hair's waiting list and booked them as soon as their 2023 books opened and it was one of the best decisions I made when planning our wedding! Christy was amazing to work with leading up to the wedding! She is SO organized which I love. My mom and I did a trial a month before the wedding and we both changed a few minor details from the trial to the wedding. She was so organized the morning of with that too, she had printed pictures out of inspiration and pictures from the trial and what needed changed. Her whole team was so sweet the morning of my wedding which is so important when you're getting ready on a day with a lot of emotions and a lot going on! We had 18 ladies getting hair done and Christy made sure we were prepared with a schedule ahead of time so that we wouldn't run behind. Bre, Michelle, and Haley all did amazing as well! All of my bridesmaids loved their hair and everyone kept commenting on how it stayed all night long! Christy made me feel so beautiful and calm the morning of my wedding! Best hair stylists ever!! I worked with Christy to book & schedule my date, and had Kara and Haley as hair stylists for the day-of. Kara also did my hair trial. I had myself (bride) plus 2 moms, and 9 bridesmaids/sisters. They were so professional and fun and did a wonderful job on everyone's hair. We all looked stunning. I did a half-up/half-down style, and everyone else had updos.

Amelia was amazing! The trial was so helpful and she was so patient to listen to any concerns I expressed. The day of she was efficient, professional and fun to be around. My curled bun lasted the entire night at an outdoor June wedding with hours of dancing! I would 110% recommend her to all future brides!
