Christy exceeded my expectations and gave me the perfect waves. She is known for being the master of Hollywood waves in Pittsburgh for a reason! She was also able to do do my bridesmaids hair beautifully, and they looked incredible throughout the night! Although I had a small enough group to only need Christy's skills, I am sure that anyone from Simply Captivating Salon would be exceptional. Will always recommend her business for any friends getting married!

She was incredibly prompt, professional, and calming throughout the entire process. Her responsiveness made planning so much easier and gave me total confidence that everything would be handled. Both she and Kara were the hair stylists for me, my 6 bridesmaids and 3 mothers on my wedding day. I couldn't have been happier with their work and everyone absolutely loved their looks! My hair stayed in place all night despite the wind outside and dancing inside. My mom also wanted a trial and Christy accommodated so that we could do them both together. She was very organized, sending multiple communications for both the trial and wedding, a suggested time schedule based on the number of people getting their hair done and when we needed to be finished by, and a flyer with day-of instructions. On the day of my trial, I knew I wanted my hair to be down, curly and with a hairpiece I bought. Amelia listened to what I wanted and truly knocked it out of the park on the first try. She followed up with me the next day asking of anything I didn’t like or if the style lasted the entire day which it did. I absolutely loved my hair on my wedding day and it lasted all day long! I would tell any bride looking for hair services to hire Amelia or a member of the Simply Captivating team in a heartbeat!

She cares deeply about her clients, and it is evident in how she conducts herself. At both my trial and on the big day, Christi and Michelle brought the best energy, and every single member of my bridal party walked away LOVING their hair. While my hair was important, my non-negotiable when inquiring with vendors was their ability to work with textured hair – which, my MOH has! In the past, my MOH had been at weddings where the Hair team was not able to accommodate her hair or if they tried, they ended up damaging it. That was simply not the case with Christi and her team – not only did they make my MOH feel comfortable with their styling products and tools, but they also did a beautiful job. My MOH was so excited, she facetimed her mom as soon as she got out of the chair to show her – she was almost in tears she was so excited. My party had a mix of all different hair types and needs, from fine, to thick, to those experiencing hair loss due to health issues - every single bridal party member looked and FELT amazing. Each unique need was met, and each style lasted all day and night. We could not have been happier with Christi, Michelle, and the Simply Captivating team, and would STRONGLY encourage everyone to work with them!!

I had some difficulty trying to describe what I wanted as I couldn't find a sample photo that exactly aligned, and totally she knocked it out of the park! She was also helpful talking me through buying extensions for the style I wanted, which was unfamiliar territory for me. Kara and Shayna were friendly, adaptive, and so talented. I'm over the moon that I booked Simply Captivating for our wedding hair. And as for my bridal hair - absolutely no notes, speaking as a perfectionist! I received so many compliments and it somehow didn't move an inch despite hours of dancing! I felt so bridal and so beautiful, and Kara was an imperative part of helping me feel that way. I can't recommend her enough! One of the best decisions I made for our wedding.

For my trial, Amelia was super helpful with fitting me in for a time that worked with my schedule, so I didn't have to take any time off work, which was super nice. Amelia was super easy to communicate with and understood exactly what I wanted for my bridal hair. And she absolutely delivered! Amelia and her other stylist were super professional, timely, and did an amazing job on everyone's hair. I am so satisfied and 100% recommend Simply Captivating for a stress-free experience and their beautiful work!

All very talented girls. Everyone was so sweet and personable and they made you feel so comfortable. They showed up early and stayed even a little later for touch ups! Could not recommend enough!

Christy was so accommodating for the hair trial too, making a trip to my home to get it done. She helped me through the process on what extensions to buy and really understood my vision for my wedding day hair. My hair was absolutely beautiful, as were my bridesmaids. I wouldn’t have wanted to book with anyone else, as this salon always has wonderful reviews. I knew I would be satisfied! Disclaimer: although I absolutely loved my hair, glam waves require a lot of teasing to accomplish, maintenance, and attention throughout the day. By the end of the night my hair was extremely tangled from all the movement, sweating, extensions, etc. I would just keep this is mind before selecting this particular style, and be prepared for the aftermath. Amelia is very talented and can create any style you love!
