Simply Captivating Salon

ut everyone at ease. She was an incredible presence throughout the entire morning and made getting ready feel so special. Even before the wedding day, I had so much fun working with Christy during my hair trials. Not only is she incredibly talented, but she's genuinely a joy to be around. Most importantly, my wedding hair was everything I had dreamed it would be. Christy listened to my vision, understood exactly what I wanted, and brought it to life even better than I could have imagined. I felt so confident and beautiful. Not only was my experience amazing, but our moms and bridesmaids all looked absolutely stunning as well. Every single person was thrilled with their hair and had nothing but positive things to say about working with Christy and Kara. Their talent, professionalism, and kindness truly set them apart. I cannot recommend Christy and Kara highly enough. If you're looking for a hairstyling team that delivers beautiful results while making the entire experience enjoyable, fun, and stress-free, they are the best of the best.

ly talented, but she is also one of the kindest people you'll ever meet. From my trial to the wedding day, she made the entire experience so enjoyable and stress free. She was such a calming presence on the morning of the wedding, and she styled my hair exactly how I envisioned it. I truly felt like the best version of myself, and I received countless compliments throughout the day. Michelle was amazing as well! She styled several of my bridesmaids, and everyone was thrilled with how their hair turned out. The entire team was so wonderful to work with. I cannot recommend Simply Captivating Salon enough. There is no one else I would have trusted with my wedding hair. Thank you for making me and my girls feel so beautiful on such a special day!

ssional, warm, and made me feel completely at ease on such a special day. My hair was exactly what I envisioned (honestly, even better!). I felt so beautiful and confident, and I received nonstop compliments all day. Thank you for playing such a huge role in making my wedding day unforgettable. I recommend Christy.

and professional!

de everyone's hair look FANTASTIC. Our hair held all night long and I got so many compliments throughout the night! I'm convinced the ladies at Simply Captivating can do any style you can dream up - we had lots of different hair types, lengths, and textures, and everyone's hair looked fantastic. Highly recommend hiring Simply Captivating for your special event!

r was stunning; I couldn't have been happier with how it turned out. I have very long hair that can be hard to work with, and my hairstyle stayed all night. Amelia was even doing my hair as I was doing one of my bridesmaid's eyelashes, which I am sure was not the easiest thing since I was moving around a little bit. Our second stylist was Michelle, who was also super sweet and talented. I had multiple people tell me that their hair was the best they have ever had when getting it done for a wedding. Everyone had nothing but exceptional things to say about both Amelia and Michelle. I am so happy that I booked them for my wedding day!!

and kind throughout the entire process. I highly recommend her!

desmaids on 1/25/25. When I tell you she is the BEST there is, please believe me! I had an elegant black tie winter wedding, and my dress went perfectly with old Hollywood waves. Christy exceeded my expectations and gave me the perfect waves. She is known for being the master of Hollywood waves in Pittsburgh for a reason! She was also able to do do my bridesmaids hair beautifully, and they looked incredible throughout the night! Although I had a small enough group to only need Christy's skills, I am sure that anyone from Simply Captivating Salon would be exceptional. Will always recommend her business for any friends getting married!

She was incredibly prompt, professional, and calming throughout the entire process. Her responsiveness made planning so much easier and gave me total confidence that everything would be handled. She flawlessly brought my vision to life. My hair held perfectly all day, and I felt like the best version of myself. Christy is truly exceptional!!

ing lol. Every single one of my bridesmaids looked amazing, and both stylists truly nailed each style.  Amelia and Michelle were both so talented, sweet, calm, and comforting to be around. Michelle did an amazing job as well and made sure everyone looked and felt beautiful. They made the entire morning feel so relaxed, which is exactly what you want on your wedding day. I couldn’t have asked for a better team and would recommend Simply Captivating to any bride without hesitation.

expectation. Christy was incredible: she listened so carefully, paid attention to every detail, and made my hair exactly what I wanted. I received compliments all night. She is just as kind as she is talented, and sitting in her chair truly eased so much of my wedding-day anxiety.

ends’ weddings, I knew there was not a better choice in Pittsburgh. The owner, Christy, is so kind, professional, and easy to work with. She goes above and beyond for her clients in every way. From trial to wedding morning, Christy was communicative and on top of every detail, which really helped me during the planning process. My hair was exactly what I had envisioned and asked for, and her entire team did a fantastic job with the rest of the bridal party’s styles. If you’re getting married, you cannot go wrong with this team!

with my mom and mother-in-law, looked stunning and felt so confident! She has such a gift and made our wedding morning feel relaxed, special, and fun!

on my wedding day, but she created the most perfect hairstyle that lasted through every moment, every hug, and every happy tear. She listened to exactly what I wanted, added her professional touch, and the result was better than anything I imagined. Beyond her talent, her calm, kind, and uplifting energy was everything I needed that morning. I am so thankful I had her there on such an important day — I would recommend her to anyone a thousand times over.

commodated a trial for my mom on the same day, as well. Christy is extremely warm, personable and friendly and exudes a level of professionalism that I'd imagine is hard to find elsewhere. Both she and Kara were the hair stylists for me, my 6 bridesmaids and 3 mothers on my wedding day. They were punctual and stayed to do touch ups once everyone was done basically up until the time I got into my dress. I couldn't have been happier with their work and everyone absolutely loved their looks! My hair stayed in place all night despite the wind outside and dancing inside. I can't recommend Christy and her team enough!

me and my bridal party on my wedding day! Our hair looked gorgeous and lasted all night.

sked for a better wedding hair stylist as a bride. It was perfect! I received so many compliments on my hair. Thank you, Simply Captivating!!!

tly through each of the eight styles she created that day. Bailey’s talent is unmatched, and I can’t wait to work with her again.

my bridesmaids who got theirs done as well.  The hair trial was easy - I sent a few inspiration photos and she pulled it off without a problem. My mom also wanted a trial and Christy accommodated so that we could do them both together. She was very organized, sending multiple communications for both the trial and wedding, a suggested time schedule based on the number of people getting their hair done and when we needed to be finished by, and a flyer with day-of instructions. I would absolutely recommend Simply Captivating Styling for your styling needs!

g presence the day of the wedding and I got soo many compliments on my hair!

me leading up to my wedding regarding hair prep tips, hair prep products to buy and any inspiration pictures. On the day of my trial, I knew I wanted my hair to be down, curly and with a hairpiece I bought. Amelia listened to what I wanted and truly knocked it out of the park on the first try. She followed up with me the next day asking of anything I didn’t like or if the style lasted the entire day which it did. I absolutely loved my hair on my wedding day and it lasted all day long! I would tell any bride looking for hair services to hire Amelia or a member of the Simply Captivating team in a heartbeat!

received was that Christi and the Simply Captivating Team were the team to work with. From my initial inquiry to the big day, Christi was incredibly warm and easy to work with. She cares deeply about her clients, and it is evident in how she conducts herself. At both my trial and on the big day, Christi and Michelle brought the best energy, and every single member of my bridal party walked away LOVING their hair. While my hair was important, my non-negotiable when inquiring with vendors was their ability to work with textured hair – which, my MOH has! In the past, my MOH had been at weddings where the Hair team was not able to accommodate her hair or if they tried, they ended up damaging it. That was simply not the case with Christi and her team – not only did they make my MOH feel comfortable with their styling products and tools, but they also did a beautiful job. My MOH was so excited, she facetimed her mom as soon as she got out of the chair to show her – she was almost in tears she was so excited. My party had a mix of all different hair types and needs, from fine, to thick, to those experiencing hair loss due to health issues - every single bridal party member looked and FELT amazing. Each unique need was met, and each style lasted all day and night. We could not have been happier with Christi, Michelle, and the Simply Captivating team, and would STRONGLY encourage everyone to work with them!!

hair trial and somehow she made it even better for the wedding day. Everyone in my bridal party loved their hair and it stayed all night! The best in the business!

take my hair from perfect to somehow even more perfect! I had some difficulty trying to describe what I wanted as I couldn't find a sample photo that exactly aligned, and totally she knocked it out of the park! She was also helpful talking me through buying extensions for the style I wanted, which was unfamiliar territory for me. Kara and Shayna were friendly, adaptive, and so talented. I'm over the moon that I booked Simply Captivating for our wedding hair. And as for my bridal hair - absolutely no notes, speaking as a perfectionist! I received so many compliments and it somehow didn't move an inch despite hours of dancing! I felt so bridal and so beautiful, and Kara was an imperative part of helping me feel that way. I can't recommend her enough! One of the best decisions I made for our wedding.

t, professional, and incredibly talented. She listened to my vision and made me feel comfortable and confident every step of the way. On the big day, my hair turned out better than I ever imagined—elegant, timeless, and held perfectly all night! She also styled 7 other girls, and everyone looked stunning. Shayna is so talented and brings such a calm, positive energy that was so appreciated during the pre-ceremony nerves. Shayna was such a joy to get ready with and is truly just as beautiful on the inside as she is the outside! She is one of the best decisions I made for my wedding day!

le styling and liking my hair since it has grown back post- cancer treatment and I never dreamed that it could look as nice as it did for my wedding day. It was perfect. Amelia was kind and professional. She was also willing to work with my fake hair pieces - they looked so natural and blended well with my real hair. She has a lot of experience in the wedding business and it showed. My bridesmaids look gorgeous, as well. I would highly recommend Amelia and Simply Captivating Salon!

Everyone’s hair looked absolutely incredible and stayed all day and night. All of my wedding party ended up with a totally different style and they all were stunning. Christy is the best in the business and I wish she could do my hair every day!!

Christy, the owner is one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met and she is truly so talented. My wedding day morning really went seamless because of her! Cannot recommend this company enough if you’re in the area and looking for wedding hair companies.

imagined, and she made the process so much fun. Amelia was also helpful with feedback on which extensions to purchase, how to prep my hair for the big day and tips for after the wedding. I would highly recommend Simply Captivating Salon!

nication. With a million things to plan for a wedding, she had everything in order! She did everyone’s hair perfectly the day of the wedding and was an absolute pleasure to have with me on my wedding day! She is truly the BEST!

d wanted me to feel beautiful as ever on my big day. Amelia & Michelle did such a great job the day of our wedding! I could not recommend Simply Captivating more for bridal hair.

highly, recommend Christy and her team for any special events!!

to choose which stylist I wanted due to the ample amount of media/examples on each stylist's instagram pages. This is super helpful! For my trial, Amelia was super helpful with fitting me in for a time that worked with my schedule, so I didn't have to take any time off work, which was super nice. Amelia was super easy to communicate with and understood exactly what I wanted for my bridal hair. And she absolutely delivered! Amelia and her other stylist were super professional, timely, and did an amazing job on everyone's hair. I am so satisfied and 100% recommend Simply Captivating for a stress-free experience and their beautiful work!

ed looking like on my big day! She even recommended hair extensions and helped me find them on Amazon to make sure everything was perfect. The day of the wedding she arrived promptly and was an absolute delight to be there with us while getting ready. If you're lucky enough for her to be available on your wedding day, definitely book her! :) -The Rizzos- 11.02.24

ply with any of my questions! Amelia provided a couple of options for extensions as well to make my hair look fuller. In the trial she took tons of photos & videos which helped a ton when deciding on the day-of look. She also sent out a mock timeline to help me organize the wedding morning, which was amazing. Her & her team did a beautiful job on all my bridesmaids, mother of the bride, & mother of the groom. Everyone’s hair lasted all night long. Amelia created the most perfect Hollywood curls that held up even through 85 degree weather & doing the worm on the dance floor. I could not recommend anyone better!

ne hair that doesn’t really want to hold any style, and really wanted her amazing glam waves she does. She made it happen!!! My hair held up ALL NIGHT. It was like magic, truly. She also helped me choose extensions when I mentioned I wanted them, recommending good brands and styles to me. I seriously could not have been happier with my hair – I felt so beautiful. All of my bridesmaids looked so stunning too, she can really do any style. Do not hesitate to book with Simply Captivating Salon!!

mely picky with hair, but let me tell you, Christy delivered everything I could have dreamed of and more for my wedding day. I was obsessed. Also, my best friends hair does not hold curl and she always loathes getting her hair done for weddings because her curls fall and her hair doesn’t hold. My bestie left with glamorous Hollywood waves that lasted all night long and the next day! She didn’t want to wash her hair. She was so happy and cried. Every girl who was styled by her was blown away. I was referred to her by my cousin who used her for her wedding and now my one bridesmaid is using her for her wedding! Also her team was wonderful. All very talented girls. Everyone was so sweet and personable and they made you feel so comfortable. They showed up early and stayed even a little later for touch ups! Could not recommend enough!

provided great services! Very pleased with the choice and would absolutely recommend.

tumbled upon their work that I’d have to go with them (specifically Amelia!). They’re professional, attentive to your wishes and needs and incredibly talented. When we did my trial I was so impressed I couldn’t think of a single thing to change and Amelia replicated the look flawlessly on my wedding day. My mom and bridesmaids all looked gorgeous and were truly happy with their looks. I’d choose them 100x over!

not believe how awesome the entire team was. Everyone had extremely unique styles and was beyond happy. I truly cannot recommend Simply Captivating highly enough!!!

trial run, and she created a beautiful half-up/half-down style for me. I have very curly hair that can be challenging to work with, but Kara styled it perfectly and it did not frizz or fall out the entire day, from 10a at my parents' house, to the church in the afternoon, to 10p on the dance floor at the reception (despite the fact that it was in the 90s!). She also did an amazing job with my mom's and bridesmaids' hair. I cannot recommend Kara and Simply Captivating enough, especially if you have curly hair!

sionals. My bridesmaids and I felt so beautiful and confident walking down the aisle. I had each of my bridesmaids bring inspo pics to show their stylist, and both Amelia and Michelle executed the styles beautifully. They were also so much fun to have with us the morning of the wedding. Christy was wonderful and easy to work with throughout the whole booking process too. I cannot recommend this group enough!

those things you want to be perfect for all the pictures you will be in on your wedding day, and she absolutely killed it. I even changed my hair-do the morning of and she was totally fine with it and made me look and feel so beautiful. Kara did such a great job on my bridesmaids! I honestly have NO complaints at all. The whole morning was so fun with them, and they fit right in with my girls ◡̈ Thank you Simply Captivating for lending me these two for my special day, I am so grateful! - Bailey Steratore ◡̈

d I researched diligently to find a salon that could execute that style the best, and let me tell you Simply Captivating is that salon. Christy was so accommodating for the hair trial too, making a trip to my home to get it done. She helped me through the process on what extensions to buy and really understood my vision for my wedding day hair. Christy and team are also the kindest people you can work with, which makes the day that much more enjoyable. Everything turned out better than I could have imagined. I can't recommend Christy and her team enough for all of your wedding hair needs!

hat each person wanted and execute their visions perfectly. She was very professional and kind at the same time and we felt everything from start to finish with planning and the wedding day itself went seamlessly. We highly recommend Kara and Simply Captivating!
