Simply Shabby Chic Events is headed up by one of the most compassionate, understanding, hard working and creative women in the world, let alone the business, Irma Green. She has made our wedding as seamless as can be. With all that goes on during the months of preparation, she was always a phone call away to calm nerves, put out fires, and offer guidance. We hired an event coordinator, what we received was a life long friend. Thank you, Irma!

Where do I even begin? Being a wedding vendor myself, I have worked with Irma at previous weddings and she amazes me every time. Her attention to detail as well as her dedication and support for her couples really makes working with her a phenomenal experience. Now being a bride, I knew I had to hire Irma to plan my wedding. And I'm soooo glad I did! She's made everything a smooth, even-flowing experience so far, I am excited to see what ideas she comes up with next! Over the course of working with her at other weddings up until planning my own wedding, we have became best friends and I am am certain she will make your wedding planning experience a phenomenal one as well! For my wedding, I wanted a planner that would go above and beyond. I have found that in Irma. You will not regret working with her. She really is a breath of fresh air.

Being a professional makeup artist in the wedding industry I've worked with quite a few coordinators and Irma is definitely a super star among the sea of coordinators out there. She goes above and BEYOND what is asked of her. There is nothing Irma would not do to ensure your wedding day runs as perfect as possible. She is such a ray of sunshine and always calms the room with her being on top of everything! She always followed up with emails and any questions I had before the wedding. I highly, highly recommend her services!

Irma made engagement party flow easily. It was decorated well , the touches were exceptional. Every detail was handled with perfection!

Irma is the best! Wedding planner that turned into a friend. I was easy to work with but my wonderful now husband can be extremely difficult because he gets paranoid. She has wonderful ideas! She was my fairy godmother who came to my dress appointments!

As cliché as it may sound, Irma deserves way more than 5 stars. I cannot express just how amazing she was, how on top of it she was, and how helpful she was. While my husband I worked with her the most, it was evident to our bridal party (who had only met her the day before the wedding) that she excelled as a wedding planner. (At one point she even ran out to grab aspirin for one of my bridesmaids!!) I could go on and on, but I will sum it up with what my husband said the day after our wedding as we were recalling our special day--Irma was the MVP of the night. Couldn't imagine my day without Irma! She made sure my day was absolutely perfect and I didn't have one stress in the world. Best investment you can do for yourself is getting a wedding planner. As a photographer, I get to work with many different wedding planner. I particularly enjoy working with Simply Shabby Chic. Their planning techniques make the day go really smooth for both vendors and the bride. If you are hire an event planner, look no further.

Irma was an amazing day of coordinator for my wedding, although she was way more involved in the planning than just the day of. She was constantly checking in and calling/contacting my vendors to make sure everything was set, confirmed, and ready to go for the day of. My day of weather was super unpredictable with naturally, no rain being predicted much of the week. I was super nervous and the rain did end up affecting my ALL outdoor ceremony and reception. No need to worry Irma handled it like the pro she is. Irma was in total control and she ended up making my wedding the best day ever. We did move the dinner inside due to the rain, but everything looked gorgeous and amazing and beautiful. You would never know that it wasn't supposed to be inside. I let her know what I liked and she even brought pillows and Decor from her own selection to help add to the little details at my wedding. She had everything just the way I wanted. She designed a structure with chandeliers and sheer material for my gift table that ended up working for my sweetheart table which is what I was supposed to sit at, only outside. She made everything I wanted happen... regardless of the last minute changes we had due to the weather. Irma was super easy to contact and to communicate with that even my husband felt comfortable. He called her quite a few times whenever he had any questions and sure enough, Irma always had an answer or solution. Thank you Irma for all your hard work and keeping my wedding organized and flowing throughout the day!

When my then fiance and I started planning our wedding we wanted to do everything ourselves. Well we soon found out that our location required a wedding planner. We were recommended Irma by our photographer. I was a little hesitant due to the distance, we live on the coast and Irma 3 hours away in Bakersfield. Well after the first 5 minutes of speaking with her I knew I had found the perfect person to help us continue the process of planning our wedding. I nevery flet the distance it alays seemed we were jus down the road, she was always there whenough we needed her. I knew it would be difficult given that I was marring a true groomzilla. In the begining stages (pre Irma) I questioned if we would make it through the planning process, it was so stressful! Then we found Irma... Irma was amazing! Irma IS amazing! She got us great deals on the vendors, which she recommended, and were fabulous! She helped me keep it a secret from my fiance that I had hired a bag pipper to play at the wedding, because my husband is Scottish. It was not an easy feat but she was on it and he had no idea. Best of all both my husband and I were able to have a relaxing, enjoyable wedding that turned out to be absolutely perfect! If there were any problems I knew Irma would handle it and we didn't need to be concerned. She put our minds at ease and made our day truly perfect! She followed up with us after the wedding making sure everything was good and we were happy with how the wedding went. I could not have been happier! I gladly recommend Simply Shabby Chic for all your planning needs, you won't be sorry!

Irma was amazing to work with! The moment I meet her I knew I was in good hands. We did two run throughs at my venue and those were my favorite days because I was able to bounce ideas off of her. She was great at making me feel calm about my wedding day. During the whole wedding planning process, she was great checking in with me, connecting with all my vendors to make everyone was on the same page, and she created a great day-of timeline. There were a few hiccups the week of my wedding and I called Irma in a panic to tell her the news. She reassured that she would fix it and she did! Without a hesitation, she knew exactly what to do to alleviate the issue. She was fantastic. Furthermore, she is a great advocate for her bride. A few of my rentals did not get delivered and even though my wedding is over Irma is calling them to help me get a refund. I am so happy to hired Irma for my wedding. Simply Shabby Chic planned both of my sisters wedding. Now its my turn to get married YIPEE! Irma was my first phone call. 7 days later we have a venue, photographer, florist, caterer, officiant and invitations picked out. Irma makes everything so easy from beginning to end. We have schedules that make normal people cry... they make us cry too. In fact, we see each other probably no more than 5-8 hours a week. Here's where the crew from Simply Shabby Chic came in. My now-wife and I live out of town but her family is still in Bakersfield. As such, it was impractical for us to make it to Bakersfield to do much of anything for the wedding. Irma and Laura from Simply Shabby Chic took care of everything. I've never worked with anyone as goal- and client-oriented as these people. We had a tight budget to have our dream wedding and they made it happen with style and gave us the best wedding we could have ever dreamed of. Not only did we get to work with these wonderful ladies for the wedding but they've become good friends -- something most brides and grooms will understand is not easy to accomplish with your vendors when you are trying to get your day just right. In fact, we plan to work with Simply Shabby Chic for all our future event planning needs (such as an upcoming baby shower!!!). It's also very telling that two other couples from the wedding party were so impressed with their work that they asked for Simply Shabby Chic's contact information and plan to use their services for their own events. It's also very important to know that Irma and Laura have wonderful working relationships with other wedding vendors around from having been in the business for so long that they can help secure not only the best services for the big day but they can also help get them for you at the best possible prices. Irma coordinated my daughter's wedding in Indian Wells, CA at the Miramonte Resort. It was a destination wedding that was being held outside in Novemeber during a 3 day holiday. Irma worked with my daughter for almost a year to make sure she completely understood exactly what Sara wanted and expected. She worked with me on making sure Sara stayed on "budget", which isn't easy when you are planning an upscale wedding. Well, the wedding was perfect, my checkbook wasn't overdrawn and I have continued to use Irma for baby showers, birthday parties, retirement parties, and for advise on my do-it-yourself parties. She is always creative and pays close attention to budget. Irma has a professional staff that exceeds her expectations. Irma pleased me, and that isn't always easy. When you hire Irma, you get Irma, and that's worth every nickel!

Irma helped me plan my wedding from start to finish. No detail was left undone and if there were any issues the day of the wedding, I don't even know because she took care of everything. I've even used her for my kids' birthday parties and she's done a fabulous job with those as well. I will definitely continue to use her for any party planning I have.

My wedding is a year away so no fret, or so I thought... I had been to a good 4 bridal shows already and I was so overwhelmed but then a friend of mine recommended that I hire a wedding planner. This made me freak out just that much more because of my budget is already thin, but she said that she had worked with Irma and her team at Simply Shabby Chic and they were budget friendly. So I set up the first consultation.... signed the contract within the hour! Sense that moment, they have been by my side, taking my calls and going to appointments with me. There would be no way I could do this and stay calm with out them! Bring on the I DO's, because I know my day will go even more smoothly than I could dream.

I'be been to a hand full of weddings, but seeing the Simply Shabby Chic girls go to work is incredible! Every detail, no matter how small is just as important as the dress of the bride! It's the little things that matter; it's the experience. They have nailed it. The last wedding I went to they took charge, got everything taken care of, and nothing was too big for them to handle... not even the wedding cake getting damaged on it's way to the venue (cake vendor's fault), nothing is too large of an issue for them to take on. Being able to keep a bride calm when her cake is wrecked the day of the wedding and still making a cake appear that was better than the first takes great planning, crisis management, and stress management. Like i said before, it's the experience that leaves you remembering a wedding long after it's gone... and that's coming from a guest's point of view. I can only imagine how much of a lasting memory the bride and groom had!

I must say my 21st birthday bash was set up amazing. Not only did I get what I was hoping for Simply Shabby Chic went above and beyond setting up my 21st birthday. I will never forget this day. When or if I ever get married will definitely use Simply Shabby Chic.

I hired Irma as my day of coordinator. I met with Irma to go over my wedding details when I hired her. We were in touch often after that point. And we met again just a couple days before to iron out the details. Since I live an hour away from the venue Irma allowed me to bring everything to her house, where she stored it for the day before, and then she transported it all to the wedding site. While I was focusing on my wedding day, Irma was setting up the venue and coordinating everything for me. In addition, if anything were to go wrong, she was the contact point and would've handled everything. She then took everything down and cleaned the site, so we didn't have to. I would highly recommend using Irma's services!!! Not only is she skilled, but she's a really nice person and easy to work with!!!

Irma and her assistant were extremely kind, helpful, and creative! I was overjoyed with the outcome of the wedding, and appreciated all they did for our wedding day. I will use them again for other parties. Shabby Chic allows you to use their props for your events; showers, rehearsal, and of course the wedding day. It was very helpful to my budget to use some of their items, which was included in the cost of her planning services.

One of the most talented wedding planners I've ever met. Highly recommend Irma she did an amazing job with my 20th wedding anniversary we got so many compliments on how great the decorations looked, the food, cake, music, pictures and the venue well worth the price. Can't wait for her to plan my daughters Quincenera in 2 years! Simply Shabby Chic is the best!!

Irma and her team were amazing. I honestly can say that we would not have been able to enjoy the wedding if it wasn't for them. They went above and beyond.
