We got a small wedding cake for a cutting picture and a few different cupcake flavors, including a gluten free dozen, for our wedding. Everything was delicious, we had 0 leftovers, and guests told us it was the best cupcake they’ve ever had! Ocean was easy to work with, prices are affordable (free delivery/set up too!!) especially compared to the quality and other vendors we tested out. The at home cake tasting was fun to do too, would definitely recommend!

Ocean from Simply Desserts did an amazing job with our wedding cake! They were able to make it gluten free and it was absolutely delicious! Ocean was also very flexible when we wanted to add mini pies to our order. We can't thank them enough!

The cake was TO. DIE. FOR. Absolutely incredible. We got such positive feedback from guests who remarked how wedding cake is typically blah, but how they absolutely loved ours. My husband and I ended up taking some of the cake home and had a slice on the wedding night to test the hype for ourselves. And, let me tell you: it was WELL-founded. We got two different flavors: the two small tiers were chocolate and the large tier was lemon champagne, and it was INCREDIBLE. I will say the taste of the cake on the day of the wedding surpassed all of our expectations because the cake we had for the tasting was not as moist. But, trust the process, trust Ocean, give a good brief, be honest, and you’ll get what you want! The only comment I have is that communication wasn’t always the best in the lead up to the wedding. Not the response time; that was great. But I felt like I had to keep repeating who I am every time I reached out, rather than the bakery just reading previous Comms and figuring it out. But I found out that there’s some glitching in the system and they can’t always see previous Comms. Also, the communications style isn’t very personal, which worried me a bit, but all of that was put to rest when I had a bite of the cake. Exquisite.

My daughter and I chose Simply Desserts to create the wedding cake and desserts for her wedding this past December. From the beginning, the owner kept in touch to ensure our order would be exactly as we wanted. They had a large range of options for cake flavours and small desserts, and my daughter and her fiance were provided 8 selections for tasting before choosing their favourites. They chose red velvet and vanilla layers, with a Swiss buttercream icing, all covered with vanilla fondant icing. The cake was delicious and created beautifully in the simple and elegant style we had wanted. The other desserts were also delicious and a big hit with guests. Special mention goes to the strawberry shortcake shooters which were divine! I highly recommend Simply Desserts for your special occasion .

Hi! I got married on September 4th 2022 and let me tell you this cake was DELICIOUS!! Me and my husband were super nervous about finding a good bakery since we both don’t like very sweet things. As soon as we tried the samples from Simply Desserts we knew we wanted to hire them, they’re very responsible, professional, they answered every question we had or changes we wanted to make to our order and it was fabulous! Our experience with Simply Desserts was wonderful overall. Everybody at our wedding commented on how good the cake was. Kimberly is very attentive and helpful. We completely loved everything from the service to the cake!

We selected a relatively small white, two-tiered cake for cake cutting and as part of our dessert selection. Simply Desserts delivered a beautifully decorated and extremely delicious wedding cake that was absolutely enjoyed by our guests and gone quickly--except for the top tier, which is in our freezer and which we are very much looking forward to eating in a year. Highly recommend!

Simply Desserts provided us with a gorgeous wedding cake and cupcake display for our 100 person wedding. We opted for the Earl Grey and Lavender cake with Buttercream frosting and couldn't be happier with how it turned out. We personally found the cake and cupcakes to be absolutely delicious, but also received many compliments from our guests. We only had five cupcakes left at the end of the night so I think the results speak for themselves! I also want to mention that Simply Desserts was incredibly flexible and easy to work with regarding our multiple date changes due to the coronavirus pandemic. Thank you again for your gorgeous and delicious work!

Kimberly was amazing to work with! Everything was so delicious at our tasting that it was so difficult to narrow down for our actual dessert bar! I loved being able to provide people different options for desserts and Kimberly’s set up was so beautiful and everything was delicious! The dessert shooters & mini cheesecakes were such a hit!

Holy moly our wedding cake was AMAZING!! We had a naked marble cake with buttercream frosting and it was to die for. We got so many compliments from our guests too! My husband and I ate leftover cake after the wedding and were so sad when it was gone! They were also super easy to work with. Would definitely recommend!!

Great desserts and super accommodating vendor! I just wanted a small cutting cake for our wedding and was having a hard time finding a bakery that would do it for a reasonable price. Kimberly understood exactly what I wanted and was able to work with me to make it happen! she was super accommodating and worked with me on the delivery fee since I was only getting a small cake delivered. Not only were they great to work with, but their desserts our also amazing. Our chocolate cake with buttercream frosting was absolutely delicious!

My husband and I decided to go with Simply Desserts for our wedding cake and we are so happy we did. Kim and her team were very responsive and flexible, as evidenced by our changing our minds on the cake’s appearance at least 3 or 4 times. The final product was exactly what we had hoped for – it looked wonderful and tasted DELICIOUS! To this day – nearly five months after our wedding – we still get people telling us how tasty it was. We’re looking forward to getting our one-year anniversary cake and have already decided to get our guests’ favorite, the chocolate cake. I can’t recommend Kim and Simply Desserts enough!

From beginning to end, our experience with Simply Desserts was phenomenal. Kimberly and her team are top-notch professionals and talented cake artists. Our three-tiered cake was a huge hit, and people said it was the best wedding cake they've had. The little autumnal sugar leaves were a fantastic detail. Overall, we were very pleased and plan on going back to Simply Desserts for other cake-related occasions.

Our wedding cake was beautiful and delicious! Kimberly was kind and helpful throughout the planning process. She even explained to us that we would not need to worry about freezing the top layer of our cake because she would give us a small anniversary cake for our first anniversary! We loved that idea. Our cake tasting was so much fun. We decided on having a pumpkin cake with caramel cream cheese frosting for one layer and two layers of vanilla cake with raspberry filling and caramel cream cheese frosting. We had arranged to have a cake stand and when the wedding day came, the cake stand did not arrive with the cake. I was so happy with how beautiful and delicious the cake was, I didn't even notice until my husband pointed it out. We planned to reach out to Kimberly to ask about a refund for the cake stand rental, but she reached out to us before we had a chance to reach out to her. She apologized and explained that the cake stand we had rented had not been returned in time from another wedding. She quickly refunded our money for the cake stand rental and tax. We appreciated her honesty and communication so much. We didn't miss the cake stand anyway because the cake was absolutely fine on a gold, round board. We would highly recommend Simply Desserts to anyone looking for a wedding cake. Here's a tip - when you go to make your payments, go in person (even if you have to drive a bit) so you and your fiancé can reward yourselves with a delicious treat while you're in the bakery!

We're SO happy we chose Simply Desserts to make not only our wedding cake, but all of our wedding desserts! In addition to the cake, we ordered a macaron tower, fruit tarts, and custom sugar cookies. The sugar cookies were made based off pictures we provided of cookies we found on social media, and the staff at Simply Desserts recreated them beautifully. The cake itself turned out STUNNING!!! Kimberly, the owner of Simply Desserts, went back and forth with me via email, revising her sketch of the cake several times until I was satisfied. She even came the day of the wedding to help setup and put the finishing touches on the cake. The final product was beyond my wildest dreams! Most importantly, the cake was delicious. My maid of honor is a foodie who travels all over the world and is difficult to impress, but even she said the cake was moist and delicious.

Loved working with Simply Desserts. We had them make mini cheesecakes for our guests and one large cheesecake for us to cut at our wedding. Everyone LOVED it. Possibly the most push-button service, we picked the cheesecakes, told them where the wedding was, picked out our cheesecake stands and they did all the rest! This was one of the most stress-free decisions we made and the result was delicious! Thank you Simply Desserts!!

Overall I was happy with Simply Desserts. The tasting was absolutely the best. I enjoyed chatting while we sampled from a variety of unique flavors and combinations. The desserts were delivered to the reception on time and were a big hit! The only thing that bothered me a bit was the lack of communication. All of my other vendors sent reminder emails when payments were due, or updated copies of total prices if things were edited. After the initial deposit, it was total crickets from them. I even went in to make a payment and add-on to the order. I received a verbal confirmation from the girl at the front that it was taken care of, but that is it - which always makes me a little nervous! In the end everything worked out and they delivered, it was just a little nerve-racking during the process.

We used Simply Desserts for our wedding, because we heard good things about their gluten free cakes. We were not disappointed! The cake was so delicious that none of our guests even knew they were eating a GF cake. Taste aside, the design was beautiful and elegant and exactly what we discussed during our tasting consultation. Not only were we pleased with the product, but Simply Desserts staff was friendly and reliable. Highly recommend, especially for those with GF needs.

Simply Desserts provided cupcakes and a small cake for our wedding. Everything was very delicious and the cupcakes were beautiful. We received tons of compliments and Kim was great to work with. She was very friendly, professional and easy to work with. Working with Kim was zero stress and I would definitely recommend her and will use Simply Desserts again in the future.

Kimberly's cake was great! An easy vendor to get a hold of and great pricing options. She worked with us to find the balance of "pretty, cutting cake" with back of the house sheet cake to keep the price of our wedding cake under control. Tasting was so much fun. Lot of options for my fiance and I to try. The team arrived promptly the day of our wedding and delivered exactly what we wanted...a delicious cake. About 6 weeks ahead of the schedule, I was able to request a groomscake for the rehearsal dinner. They were happy to make that happen. All of the flavors for all three cakes were soooo yummy! If you are considering getting some yummy treats from Simply Desserts, go ahead and say yes. You won't be disappointed.

I used Simply Desserts for our wedding cake and was super impressed! Kimberly made it easy to set up a tasting and we had so much fun doing it. I needed the cake to be gluten free and she had plenty of options. We ended up going with a lemon cake with raspberry buttercream and a raspberry jelly on the inside & a honey lemon buttercream on the outside. It was SO delicious!! Everyone at the wedding was telling us how good it was - and no one could tell it was gluten free either! I would highly recommend this bakery for a wedding cake or any type of special ordered desserts - especially gluten free. Kimberly was awesome to work with and made the exact cake I envisioned!!

Kim and Simply Desserts was actually the third cake tasting we had and after the first two being similarly disappointing we were worried that we weren't going to be able to find something we liked. Kim wiped away any concern that we had, the tasting was phenomenal and she encouraged us to make a fun choice for one of our flavors of green tea cake and matcha cream cheese filling. She made my vision come to life and understood everything I was trying to put into words.

Simply Desserts made our wedding cake, and we couldn't be happier with the end product. The cake looked amazing, and tasted even better!! We wanted a specific flavor of cake (dulce de leche) which wasn't a normal flavor that they made, but Simply Desserts was totally able to make the cake in that flavor and it was a hit at our wedding! They did an amazing job and we look forward to our anniversary cake from them :)

Simply desserts was a pleasure to work with. They are located in manassas va and was willing to travel 3 hrs to our venue for a nominal fee. We also had special dietary needs and the venue worked with us to meet those needs. They made keto and vegan cupcakes for the guests that had special diets. The flavors matched our fall desires and I was pleased that the venue was flexible and researched flavors that were not on their regular menue. The only drawback I had was getting the display designed nailed down. Although the end result was presentable it was not my vision For the money we spent. This is something that can be mitigated with early and often communication with the venu. I would recommend them for your wedding/event.

Simply Desserts made the best wedding cake ever! Our wedding cake was a two-tiered almond cake with cinnamon filling and sheets cakes of green tea cake with matcha filling, and they were the best cake I have ever had! During the tasting my now husband and I were a little hesitant to try the green tea cake because we are not huge fans of green tea flavors normally, but it was subtle and perfectly complimented by the matcha filling! Since we had a fall wedding the almond and cinnamon seemed like an easy choice. When we ordered our cake, they also said they would make us a fresh cake on our one-year anniversary, which I am so excited about. I also ordered a surprise groom’s cake for the rehearsal dinner and they did a stunning job, I couldn’t believe it was made of cake! They made a car to look like my husband’s 2018 Mustang that his is in love with and the cake looked exactly like his car!!! I couldn’t believe how well they did on that cake and it tasted amazing! The car was their cookies and cream cake and again it was delicious! I don’t think you could go wrong with any of their flavors. Everything about Simply Desserts is amazing.

We met with several vendors in the area and was impressed with Kim's professionalism, and then was sold after we tried her cakes! We ended up picking a flavor we've never heard of before because it was soooooo good. The cake was delicious on our wedding day, and looked great.

Kim and Simply Desserts were an absolute pleasure to work with. We told Kim that we wanted our cake to be one of the highlights of the reception, both in presentation and taste, and she exceeded our expectations. Our wedding cake was so much more than we expected! The design was beautiful & the flavors were remarkable. All of our guests were asking what flavors we selected and where we had gotten the cake and I couldn't respond quickly enough, Lavender Earl Grey with Honey Lemon Swiss Buttercream and Lemon Champagne with Raspberry and Raspberry Swiss Buttercream!!! Kim was great to work with and even provided our favors which were Bride & Groom pretzel rods which were the perfect touch to the perfect day. Thank you so much to everyone at Simply Desserts!

I enjoyed working with the owner and the cake turned out beautifully- just how I described. The tasting was great. We got to taste every flavor and frosting combination. I did a simple two tier design with fresh flowers placed on top and on the side. The cake looked great and tasted delicious. I chose lavender with honey buttercream frosting and a red velvet with caramel cream cheese frosting for the second tier. I would definitely recommend and use them again!

Simply Desserts is amazing!! We had two types of flavors, almond cake with cream cheese and strawberry filling and a lavendar earl grey cake with lemon honey buttercream filling. So many of our guests came up to say how great the cake was and I couldn't agree more. Not only that, they decorated our cake for us with the greenery left by the florist. You don't even have to save the top part of the cake either, Simply Desserts creates the anniversary cake for you, fresh, a year later. We had originally planned to get our cake through our caterer, but about two months prior to our wedding their pastry chef quit. Thankfully we found Simply Desserts rather quickly! They were able to step in at the last minute and save they day. They offer a wide variety of delicious flavors, and are incredibly talented when it comes to decorating. Our cake looked and tasted amazing! Simply Desserts also offers to remake the top layer of your cake for your one year anniversary at no additional cost.

Simply Desserts was so easy to work with and their cupcakes and cakes are AMAZING! We had 6 inch cake that we cut into on top and 4 different kinds of cupcakes for the guests. They were a huge hit! We also love that they give you a free 6 inch cake on your first anniversary, so you don't have to worry about freezing the cake from your wedding (which was great for us because we have a tiny freezer right now)! Definitely recommend!!

Amazing. Our dessert bar came out amazing, our guests loved everything from the cake, to French macaroons, cupcakes, mini cheesecakes etc..they enjoyed all the sweets without being overly sweet!

Affordable Arrangements ROCKS! These guys are super easy to work with and they are exactly as they say - affordable! Carly was super easy to work with and made adjustments on my order to meet my budget without having to cut anything out! She was a miracle worker. The flowers were on time and beyond my expectations- they were gorgeous, fresh and even though I never saw any mock ups or met with Carly in person, they were EXACTLY what I wanted! My only regret was not being able to meet Carly in person. Overall, I highly highly recommend Affordable Arrangements!

Excellent! The entire process made my wedding reception a huge success. From the appointment to sample the variety of cakes and frosting to the delivery of the cake and of course the taste. Everyone loved the look of the cake and really enjoyed the flavors that I picked out. It's so stressful planning for an event and they helped make this part work. Loved our wedding cake and cupcakes! Beautifully done exactly how we requested. Delivery and cake stand rentals were super easy. You also get an anniversary wedding cake around your 1 year... so you don't have to freeze anything! The bakery owner, Kim, is a very nice lady and responsive.
