Simply Elegant by Cheri

Owner Cheri only has use for you if you are purchasing a wedding dress. Otherwise she treats the entire wedding party like criminals and lies about what actually happened on the day she wanted us out of her dressing room so she could make more money selling a wedding dress. If our group was throwing wedding dresses on the floor in the bathroom and also throwing them at her salespeople at the same time, she would have called the cops on us. She even gave herself a 5 star review on Google so that review was reported as a conflict of interest since she owns the business. She's lost quite a bit of business by treating people like garbage. I left her business and went to Michelle's Bridal and Tuxedo in Champaign and bought myself a dress that was $850. We bought 4 dresses at Michelle's and I highly recommend their business. They worked us in and stayed open later than usual for our business.

Do not go here. I bought my wedding dress from this shop in October of 2022. Had a great appt & bought a dress & a veil. I booked an appt for my bridal party to try bridesmaid dresses on for 01/14/23 about a week and a half out. I received a voicemail from Cheri, the shop owner, asking if I thought I needed the two hours that I booked. I called back & talked to Lydia, & she agreed that 2 hours would be a good timeframe for 4 people to look at dresses. When we got to the shop at our appt time, we were told that they sold all but 10 of their bridesmaid dresses to a shop in Colorado & they had a VERY limited selection of dresses. To make the most of our time, we had my MOH start trying prom dresses on b/c I wanted her in a gold dress anyways. Lydia did not help my sister get into any dresses & left us to our own devices. About an hour into the appt, my friend was walking over with another dress for my sister to try on when she was approached by the shop owner & told that our appt was over. She accused us of "playing in her prom dresses" without the intention of buying a dress. She also said my sister was not going to wear a prom dress in my wedding. After this experience, I can no longer see myself in the dress that I said 'yes' to from Simply Elegant by Cheri. This was truly such a mortifying experience & really showed the true colors of the owner & her intentions. She lost my business completely. I will never tell anyone to go to this bridal shop. After being treated like crap on the bottom of the owners shoe, we walked out, drove to Champaign, & bought FOUR dresses from a bridal shop there AND my sister is wearing a prom dress to my wedding.

Absolutely amazing bridal store. They go above and beyond for brides. I will be going back for bridesmaid dresses as well as prom for my daughter. Morgan is so funny and patient. The job fits her well and you can tell she loves it!

I knew Cheri before I got engaged, and I knew once I did I was going to go here to get my dress. I currently live in WA and I knew once I was in town that I would be sure to stop at the store to do my dress shopping. They were super reasonable about my budget and we were able to find the perfect dress in my price range. I never felt so beautiful and felt so special. (Mimosa bar and adorable cookies were a HUGE plus 😍). Thank you Cheri and Morgan! ❤️

Cheri and her team are so incredible! They helped me find the exact style that I was interested while staying in my budget and also found styles for me to try on just because! They listened to me and were not pushy. They helped me with any questions I had at all. They even had me come in to steam it before the wedding for a very low price. Overall, Cheri and her team are incredible and I highly recommend a trip to Lincoln to see them! I ended up choosing the Morilee dress #5811 Sahara. Thank you Cheri!
