About this vendor
We're Miranda and Joe of Simply Finn, a wedding photography company based in Milwaukee, WI. We've been in love with each other for nearly a decade, and capturing other people's love stories together for more than half as long.
Now, we're in the same boat as our clients as we plan our own wedding. It has given us a deeper level of awareness of what wedding planning is like. We know the feeling of searching for the perfect vendor (and getting burned out doing so), and we understand how gratifying it is when you find a vendor you just perfectly click with. We're here for that connection - that click. It's key to ensuring your wedding day goes smoothly, and that your photos feel like "you."
Available to travel to wherever you are and work additional hours, we are committed to capturing the magic. We also provide engagement sessions and videography services. As for the images, they can be made available in the format of your choice, from albums to canvases to digital files to prints.

We found Simply Finn through our venue's recommended vendor list, and we are so incredibly grateful we took the plunge and hired the only photographers we met with! When you know, ...
you know. From our initial communication, to our video call, to our two engagement sessions, all the way up to the big day itself, Miranda and Joe made us feel so comfortable, and with every interaction we felt validated in our decision to use them as our photographers!
It truly felt like a match made in heaven. When we spitballed some special requests like, "Hey we wanna do an engagement session at one of our favorite vintage stores", Miranda and Joe met us with the same level of enthusiasm as we had, which made working with them so insanely fun.
Miranda and Joe were always an email away, and were happy to talk us through pre-wedding jitters about timelines and inclement weather plans. On our day itself, Miranda and Joe were professional, efficient, and even seemed to "disappear" while taking our photo and videos, which allowed for them to capture so many candid and un-posed moments throughout the day.
Our preview and the gift they included was so incredibly beautiful and thoughtful, and was the perfect sneak peek to our full gallery, which followed shortly after. Upon looking at our gallery and watching our video, we re-lived our day and all the joy and love we felt on it. Videography was something we mulled over, not sure if we wanted to invest in it, but we are SOOOO glad we did. The video Miranda and Joe created for us is absolutely perfect. We've watched it so many times and will cherish it, and all our photos forever.
If we did it all over again, we'd always choose Simply Finn.
Miranda and Joe are a creative power couple!! We hired them for our wedding back in January and we are blown away by their work. On top of their incredible skills behind the camera...
, they also made a camera shy couple feel SO comfortable. We are so happy they were recommended to us. My husband and I hope that every bride and groom to feel the same amount of support and ease that we felt on our big day. Simply Finn is everything you could want and more. We are so thankful to have worked with such kind and easy going people like Miranda and Joe.
Miranda & Joe captured our wedding day better than we could have ever imagined. The final product of our wedding video details the most memorable moments of our day, and we love th...
at they were able to catch things that Mike and I didnt even know were happening. Since receiving our video 4 days ago, we have watched it 7 times - including starting every morning with it. It is perfectly crafted, includes the most intimate of details, and shows a side of our day that we always hoped to remember. The quality of the film is unparalleled, the video and audio are perfectly blended, and we are incredibly impressed by their craftsmanship and they way they seemingly pieced every moment together so effortlessly.
Miranda & Joe truly helped our dreams come true by creating an absolute fairy tale video, and we also have thank them for their moral support. During our wedding day, the pair provided so much comfort, support, laughs, and direction while remaining incredibly professional. They displayed the perfect balance of friendship (yes, we consider them friends now) and professionalism that we needed that day.
There is absolutely nothing more we could have hoped for from Simply Finn. They are true professionals in their field and have clearly perfected their craft. Their passion is clear, and it made them a joy to work with. We 10/10 recommend this team for both videography and photography, and will absolutely be partnering with them again in the future.
Miranda and I worked together at Subway in high school so having her as a part of my day was a no brainer. I may be biased in saying this but she is an amazing photographer. Both...
she and Joe were amazing on our wedding day. They captured moments that I never thought I needed and ones that I am so happy to say I will have photos of forever. They are personable, knowledgeable and overall just wonderful at what they do. Simply Finn will give you everything that you ever wanted for your wedding photos. I can't say enough good things about them, our day would not have been complete without them. We have amazing pictures that we will cherish forever thanks to Simply Finn.
Miranda and Joe did our Wedding this past December 2019. Photography was one area of wedding planning that made me nervous. After we met with Miranda and Joe and got our engagement...
photos back, I knew it would be the easiest part of the day. Miranda and Joe showed up early the day of the wedding and took extra pictures. Miranda made me and my wedding party feel comfortable as she took photos of us getting ready, while Joe took photos of the boys I only got to see because he was there to capture them. My mother who wanted posed photos was happy with the classic portrait photos, and I felt like Miranda and Joe’s documentary style authentically captured the story of our day. We were so at ease throughout the day that we did not even notice Miranda and Joe were creating a video highlight of our day. Our wedding day was one of the best days of our life, and the one thing we got to take home after it was over was the photos. I cannot recommend Simply Finn enough if you are looking to take home the most beautiful and authentic version of your wedding day.
Miranda and Joe shoot our wedding back in October 2019. Our search for photographers was tough! There are so many businesses and great people and styles of photography. Once I met ...
with Miranda I knew she was the right fit for us. She and Joe worked hard (through a migraine!) the day of our wedding to help us feel comfortable. If you know my husband comfortable and camera aren’t two words that go together often.
When we got our photos back we were over the moon. Looking through them all we laughed and were able to share and re-experience moments from our wedding day. Even now I take time, pretty regularly to look through our album but also through our “gallery” of photos because I enjoy looking back at all the little details.
We can’t thank Miranda and Joe enough.
I found Simply Finn through the Knot after I decided to change from a friend photographer. Leading up to my wedding, Miranda did such a great job with figuring out how I envisioned...
by wedding day. A week before, she provided me with a list of people you would normally get pictures with and I could customize it exactly how I wanted.
On the day of the wedding Miranda and her partner Joe did such an amazing job setting up everyone as efficiently and quickly as they could. We got married in February, and wanted to do some outside shots. It was cold, but they moved everyone along very efficiently! Miranda has such a calm but assertive personality and she was able to diffuse an issue that came up and was able to problem solve.
I would recommend Simply Finn all over again, and you are not making a mistake hiring her :)
Miranda and Joe are the best. The whole experience was easy, wonderful, and so natural -- you can tell everything they do, from getting to know us through a Facetime call (we live ...
out of state) to meeting them on our wedding day but feeling totally comfortable, is intentional and authentic. Their photographs have us laughing, crying, and so so grateful for the beautiful moments they've captured of us, our friends, our family. And the stunning venue!! We can relive the day over and over again and we could not recommend them enough. Thank you, guys!!
Miranda and Joe did our engagement photos and it was phenomenal. We had so much fun and everything felt natural and easy. Cannot recommend Simply Finn enough.
Simply Finn is a business of passion, kindness & pure artistry.
Miranda & Joe were able to capture every beautiful moment on our wedding day! I would highly recommend them to EVERY...
