I had such a great experience with Mel for my wedding hair and makeup! She was prompt, quick to respond to messages, and checked in with me every step of the way to make sure I loved my makeup, especially since I don’t wear it often. She was very accommodating and made adjustments easily to ensure I was comfortable and happy with the final look. Mel was so kind and easy to work with. One of the things I appreciated so much was the thoughtful touch-up kit she provided with helpful items for hair and makeup throughout the day, along with other things that were useful to have on hand for the wedding. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made me feel so prepared and taken care of.

When our wedding date arrived, so did the epic Kona storm. Mel flew to Maui on the day of the wedding, navigating flight delays and island-wide power outages. Despite the chaos, she remained calm, flexible, and positive, making all of us look and feel beautiful during an incredibly stressful and unpredictable day. Her steady presence helped bring a sense of normalcy and joy when everything else seemed uncertain.
She is incredibly talented, professional, organized, and such a calming presence on what can be a very hectic day. My hair and makeup lasted beautifully through happy tears, hugs, dancing, and the wild wind and rain. Beyond her amazing work, she's genuinely kind and so easy to work with. I'm so grateful she was part of so many special milestones in our lives. She is absolutely part of our family now!

I want to share an experience that shows her incredible commitment: I contacted her the afternoon before my wedding, and she welcomed me with the utmost kindness. She took the time to reorganize her schedule—even coordinating with another bride she already had booked for that day—just to be able to accommodate me. On the morning of my wedding, she came early to my hotel and did the most splendid job.
The makeup exceeded all my expectations: it stayed flawless all day long, despite the warm weather and all the emotions. I felt radiant, confident, and absolutely beautiful. asonable so I immediately inquired. She contacted me almost immediately (within the same day I believe). I booked a bridal trial and wedding day hair and makeup. I'm glad u booked the trial because I had never has a full face of makeup before, so I had a better idea of what I would prefer foe the wedding day. I was also able go see how the hair and makeup would look with my dress-highly recommend a trial!
On my wedding day, Mel made some adjustments as I requested and we reached my hair and makeup goals! Everything lasted well into the night except one of my eyelashes that started coming off by around 8/9pm. This could have just been that my skin is a little oily though. Keep in mind, I was also done with hair and makeup by about 10am because I had a Chinese tea ceremony as well.. so it did last a very long time!
Mel also did my friends makeup, which looked great. My friend was running behind and didn't have time to do her own hair. Mel was willing to stay longer to also do her hair. Thanks so much! Overall, Mel was very professional and reliable. I would definitely recommend her.
