My husband thought I was nuts when i told him our photographer budget- but Simply K was THE BEST WEDDING PURCHASE WE MADE. Our photos are to die for and we could not be more thrilled with our captured memories. They were very easy to work with, and took photos without being in anyone’s way. They captured angles and shots I would have never thought of. And were flexible when all our annoying relatives insisted on shots haha. We had some family drama at the time and they were VERY good about tastefully asking said person to step out of our family shots. They were also very good with my kids (2 and 4- which was important to us). I cannot recommend Simply K enough!! Worth every penny 10 times over!

When the PHOTOGRAPHER needs a PHOTOGRAPHER! Lots of people asked how on earth I choose a wedding photographer after being a wedding photographer myself for 13 years. Of course, being on the other side of the camera- I had to decide who to entrust with our big day. Simply K Studios is owned by two awesome ladies that I got to know through working in the industry and it wasn’t long before we became genuine friends. Will Wood and I were in Cancun (on a job with Simply K) when we found out we got our house and it was Kathy and her husband that we celebrated with. When it came to our wedding, we knew we had to have them as our wedding photographers. The day of, Katherine Tomasek Loiselle and Kelly Myers came with their sweet and authentic personalities, that not only did my husband and I feel at ease, but so did everyone around us. Their personal approach allowed for our story to be told as it was- parents laughed with full smiles, bridal party had fun and enjoyed getting their picture taken and above all/ my husband and I got to be us, and therefore our photographs were me and him to our core. Also did I mention our epic engagement session where Kathy not only listened to our ideas but put her own creative spin on them which blew us away. As a wedding photographer myself (and maybe I shouldn’t be saying this 🤣) I would hire Simply K over and over again for the most important day of my life. These two talented women captured very essence of who we are as a couple. Thank you, thank you Kathy and Kelly for giving us the gift of a lifetime and beyond.

Simply K Studios is unparalleled. Kathy and Kelly are incredibly professional, easy to work with, and take some of the most beautiful pictures I have ever seen. Detail oriented, fast problem-solvers, open to our ideas of what we wanted. They helped keep our wedding timeline on track and were flexible with some last minute changes that happened day-of. Kathy and Kelly are also very, very kind when people are feeling nervous or frustrated in the days leading up to the event. Kathy sent emails periodically throughout the planning process to see if I needed help with anything or had any questions, which was very reassuring. YOUR SEARCH IS OVER. TRUST ME. Simply K is who you want. If you don't have time to read my whole review, at least read this list of the top things you need to know about working with Kelly: EXTREMELY, UNBELIEVABLY talented; black-belt director of uncooperative bridal parties & families; accommodating to the extreme; reassuring emotional support that rivals even the cutest therapy dog; truly cares about her clients; my new best friend. Working with Kelly was truly one of the highlights of our wedding day, which started during our first phonecall many months before. Not to be a bridezilla, but I had contacted and spoken with at least 30 different photographers before I found Simply K. Every one of those 30+ photographers managed to give me a reason not to trust them - mostly it boiled down to a lack of respect for us as people and not just subjects of their photography. Then I found Simply K. Kelly and I got on a quick phone call and it became immediately clear that Kelly's primary aim is to make a friend, and if you hire her then she'll be happy to be photographing her new friend's wedding. She listened to my story and concerns about the other photographers I had spoken to, and reassured me that we would be able to find a way to work together if that was what I wanted, and we did. During that phone call she even told me to call or text her if I needed to vent about anything at all, that she was there for me. Kelly legitimately cares about the people she works with. During the wedding, Kelly and her partner were able to wrangle a challenging 13-person bridal party (cops and firefighters don't like taking photos), a 3-year-old flower girl (cranky toddler alert), two large families with plenty of divorce and awkward dynamics to consider...and they did everything proficiently with smiles on their faces. Going back to their primary mission - at least half of our bridal party came back to us later to say how cool they thought the photographers were and how lucky we were to have them (which obv we already knew). They even showed us the photos they were capturing every so often so we could give feedback and direction if we wanted (though we never needed to do). My husband and I were also tired, stressed and barely holding it together that day and Kelly and her partner were sincerely there for us and the only vendors (including our wedding planner!) who made us feel really calm and happy. You cannot find another wedding photographer that can do all of that and still do a good job with the photos. Then, this super-photog got us our edited photos less than a month after the wedding. And they...are...FANTASTIC. I've had them for about a week, still look at them multiple times a day, still almost cry over how good they are. I have felt so much joy looking at these photos, knowing how our grandkids will eventually see them and joke about how beautiful we used to be before we got old and wrinkly, because HOT DAMN did they make us look good. I'm now trying to come up with more reasons to hire her - Christmas card? Boudoir? Maternity? Sitting in traffic on I-95? Whatever, she'll do it and she'll make it amazing. Hire this woman. You will not regret it.

While planning my wedding, I met with 3 photographers and it was no question that Simply K was the right choice. The second you walk into their beautiful, open office, you know that you are going to be met with professionalism and class. Kathy was the only photographer that I met with that outlined what my wedding day timeline would look like. I didn’t realize how important this was because we were getting married in the month of December and daylight savings time would severely impact the flow of our big day. Kathy was super easy going and patient while I planned out my Christmas inspired engagement session. The pictures came out GREAT and some were even published! I knew that working with her on our wedding day would be spectacular. It was great to finally meet smelly as well. These two ladies are phenomenal and I am so happy that I chose them to document the most special day of my life!

I cannot recommend Simply K Studios enough! They were a pleasure to work with and my husband and I were thrilled with our beautiful wedding photos! I first came across Kelly's work on Instagram. Since we were planning a Downtown Hartford wedding that showcased some of the city's architecture, we wanted a photographer who had some experience shooting there, and Simply K Studios fit the bill! We clicked right away with Kelly at our in-person meeting, and she made us feel super comfortable during our engagement shoot (my normally shy then-fiancé really lit up in front of the camera!). Working with Kelly and Kerry on our wedding day was an absolute pleasure. I loved having the ladies in my suite before the ceremony to capture the special moments with my bridesmaids and the moms, and from there I knew we were in great hands to get some truly lovely images for the rest of the day. Kelly was a great sport and even jumped into my husband's '52 International pickup truck with us following the ceremony! The three of us squished in the front seat, driving around Hartford is one memory we still laugh at today. Kelly has such a great eye, and while we had some ideas of locations and shots to get leading up to the big day, we loved how she could roll with things and come up with creative images right on the spot. Kathy at Simply K was amazing. The dedication that she puts into her work is outstanding and we cant imagine anyone's special day or event not to be captured by her! The pictures that were taken both at our wedding and at our engagement shoot were breathtaking and really captured what we wanted. Kathy and Jessie were so helpful on our wedding day with making sure to as many photos as possible to really capture the whole day. I love the quality of the work and they took the time to go over everything with us before and after each shoot in detail, which was very helpful. If you need a photographer, look no further than Simply K, they are Simply Amazing!!!!

We absolutely love Kelly and Kathy! Not only were our engagement photos amazing but our day off experience was as well. They are both sweet, friendly and very personable. My husband and I absolutely adore Kelly, and her stunning photos! She came out to Nantucket to shoot our engagement photos (closer to the wedding than the proposal, I might add) relatively last minute and took some gorgeous pictures for us that I will always treasure. At the wedding, one of the bridal party dresses didn’t arrive and her smart thinking, calm attitude, and sheer professionalism prevented me from having a total meltdown while others worked to solve the dress faux pas. I can’t speak highly enough of Kelly and her other photographer, David, and how pleasant working with them was. I am SO happy we booked Kelly & Kathy for our wedding this past January. We were planning our wedding from Florida and they were so easy & amazing to work with - it was almost like working with old friends! They were so fun during our engagement pictures & on our wedding day - our family & bridal party loved them too! Kathy was my husbands teacher in high school, she made a difference in his life then and she is an outstanding photographer. Her communication was always clear, her photos are absolutely gorgeous! My guests commented how they loved that they were never on top of us, but they were still capturing the day perfectly. Working with Kelly and Kathy of Simply K Studios was an amazing experience! My husband and I originally met these ladies when they photographed my bother's wedding, so we were lucky enough, as members of the wedding party for his wedding, to be able to work with them and get to know them while still in the beginning stages of planning our own wedding. We didn't even bother to research other photographers, because after spending time with them, seeing how they work, and seeing the INCREDIBLE pictures they take, we knew they were the only wedding photographers we wanted! When we arrived at the studio for our initial meeting, Kelly went over all the different packages they offer, and all the details of both the engagement shoot and the wedding day. Her attention to detail is amazing; she had even taken the time to look up when sunset would be on our wedding day, so that she could give us an accurate timeline of how our wedding day shoot would proceed! Her communication was wonderful, and she was able to answer all of my questions, and always replied promptly to any emails I sent her. They offer customer packages, depending on the amount of coverage you are looking for, as well as how long you want them there, and are super flexible about travel. My husband and I got ready for the wedding in different locations, and it was wonderful that Kelly could be there to capture the girls getting ready, while Kathy attended to the guys. What we loved the most about working with them, both for the engagement shoot, as well as the wedding, was how natural and comfortable they made us feel. They offered suggestions about where to stand or in which direction to look, but they didn't try to get us into any silly or uncomfortable poses; they encouraged us to act naturally, so that they could capture the moments as they unfolded. When we told them where the wedding would be held, they even found an amazing private location to take outdoor shots that was just a few minutes from our wedding venue! They made us feel like King and Queen for the day! As far as the pictures, their work speaks for itself. The photographs are nothing short of breathtaking. The wedding photos were one of the most important parts of the wedding for me, and these ladies gave me memories that exceeded all of my expectations. They made me feel beautiful, special, and important. We cannot say enough wonderful things about Kelly and Kathy of Simply K Studios. Kelly was amazing from the moment we met her! She did our engagement and wedding photos. It never felt like we were dealing with a company, but with family. Kelly made us feel special and was always there to answer questions. On our wedding when the groom's party was going crazy and late, Kelly never got bothered and made everything work. These two ladies are the real deal! They were so easy to work with leading up to the event - very organized, took stress off our plate, and worked directly with our coordinator. The day of our wedding, our outdoors beach ceremony got rained out - but from the photos, you'd have no clue it was even cloudy. They captured bright, colorful pics throughout the night and really captured some amazing memories to look back on. They captured all of the shots on our request list efficiently, and without being intrusive or following us around. At Simply K they don't just take the pictures, they do so much more. Kelly is so experienced she answered all of my questions before I even had to ask. She made us feel comfortable from the moment the process began until the moment it ended. Initially the day of the wedding was a little chaotic! Us girls were running late and I was a little thrown off to say the least. Kelly wasn't phased at all, she just worked on getting the pictures of the people who were there, so by the time we arrived, there wasn't much time lost at all. All the pictures came out amazing! She went above and beyond for us. We will look at the pictures years down the road and remember everything from that night because both Kelly and Elena captured so much. We are so grateful to have had such amazing photographers for one of the most important night of our lives. :)

Stop looking for your photographer- you found her. I simply cannot say enough about how incredible these ladies are. Kelly was the first photographer we met with and ended up being the only. We knew instantly that we wanted her to be a part of our wedding story. She was so welcoming and although we had no idea what we were looking for, she had nothing but patience. Her work blew us away - some photos genuinely take away your breath and I have never seen more in one place. Kelly really became invested in our lives during our wedding planning and she and I emailed as if we were old friends. My now husband is photo shy and right off the bat at our engagement session she put him at ease. She captured the beauty of a sunset and somehow managed to make it shine brighter with our love. Our wedding day would not have been the same without her and Kathy. They were seamlessly integrated into the crowd during the ceremony and throughout the day- I feel like I never really saw them outside formals, but they sure got some incredible candids!! The girls got the wedding party all wrangled together despite our rowdy natures and got beautiful formals and even more wonderful in between moments. The only bad part about our whole experience with them is that we can't hang every photo on the wall. Every person I have shown our photos to has been wildly impressed. ENGAGEMENT: From the beginning, my fiance and I had a hard time deciding on a photographer. Having amazing photos was my number one priority and I was not willing to budge. After much searching, we found Simply K Studios. Kathy has been very nice, responsive, and helpful! In October of 2016 we had our engagement session which we were extremely nervous about (being awkward, not knowing what to do), but Kathy made us feel completely comfortable! Once we got our engagement photos (which we absolutely loved) we could not wait to have Kathy photograph our wedding day in July of 2017! WEDDING: Scott and I got married on July 22nd of 2017 at Maneeley's in South Windsor and our day was perfect! Kathy and Kelly captured our wedding day from beginning to end perfectly. There were so many times that I had forgotten they were even there, which really gave them the chance to capture true, honest, and raw emotions. Scott and I did a first look and I am soooo glad! It was a hot day, so we definitely looked our best those first few hours! It did not take anything away from the actual ceremony at all. I still felt the ceremony was the most emotional part of the day. Kathy was so easy to communicate with before and after the wedding. She always made me feel more like a friend than a client. We got our photos just 4 short weeks after the wedding and we could not be happier with them!!! When we went to pick them up, not only did we get the photos, but we were surprised with a very thoughtful and beautiful gift! Working with Simply K was amazing. From the very beginning I felt like they understood what I was looking for and could make it happen. I was blown away by their professionalism and expertise on my wedding day. Every time something was happening and I thought "I hope I get a picture of this" I'd turn and someone was already photographing it. They truly captured the essence of Colorado in our formal pictures and I could not have been happier. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone. Awesome team!

We worked with Kathy (of the 2 K’s of Simply K) and Bobbie the day of our wedding. For the first half of the day Kathy was with me, my bridesmaids, and my family, while Bobbie was with the boys (cracking them up the whole time, by the way). I’ve been in several weddings and so often the photographer can come off as bossy or demanding when you’re just trying to absorb everything that’s happening and enjoy one of the most important days of your life. This was not the case with Simply K. I actually forgot Kathy was there when I was getting ready – she caught every moment, every detail, and every emotion without the slightest disturbance to the flow of the day. And I know Bobbie kept my husband and his groomsmen laughing and at ease, distracting them from the natural nerves that come with the day. Kathy & Bobbie captured just perfect shots throughout the ceremony – the tears, the laughter, the love, and this same professionalism, attention to detail, and creative genius continued throughout the formal photos and the candids afterwards during the reception. Their eye for backdrops, lighting, juxtapositions, and framing simply cannot be beat. And if this weren’t enough – we had all of our pictures back to us for our review fewer than 3 weeks after our wedding! I have never heard of this happening, nor did I expect it, but it was such a lovely surprise. The quality of Simply K’s work is impeccable. I am not exaggerating when I say that we loved every picture that came back. It was all we could have ever dreamed for, and their combined talent helped memorialize every tiny detail of the day so we’ll never, ever forget. Simply K = Simply the Best!

We were very lucky to have Simply K studios as our photographers for our engagement session and wedding. Kathy and Kelly did such an incredible job, all the pictures came out beautiful. They made us a guestbook using our engagement photos and it came out amazing. The best thing about Simply K Studies is not just their talent but it’s their passion and professionalism. They wanted to make sure our pictures came out perfect. They worked very hard to incorporate everything we wanted to do. We did a first touch and they did an amazing job of coordinating that for us and it turned out incredible. Kelly was so great in selecting locations and getting the best pictures possible. She was a breeze to work with and had amazing insight. The pictures are gorgeous and we are very happy to have them to look at to remember our big day. She really is thee best!

I loved working with Kathy and Kelly! From our first meeting I knew that they were the ones I wanted capturing our day! Kathy sat down with us and got a feel for what we wanted and even gave us a timeline right then about how the day would probably go! She was familiar with the venue we had which was great and she was able to show us pictures from there. Leading up to the day I was in communication with Kathy because of the forecast. I was nervous about the rain but she assured me that we would get great pictures and we made a rain plan. Sure enough it did rain that day, and they were both so excited to shoot in the rain! They made sure that photo taking was still fun even though it was raining and now I have some amazing shots that we would not have gotten if it had been sunny. It's hard to pick which ones I like the best because they are all great!

We met Kelly at a wedding event before we were even engaged; however, our friends hired Simply K after that event. Kelly is personable, professional, and has an incredible eye for photography. Our friends had Kathy as their primary shooter, and they loved her. That led us to hire Simply K, as well. I was so happy to have Kelly as our primary shooter. She was responsive, relatable, and had lots of good advice (e.g., move your hand here, look this way). Our photos came out amazing and were worth every penny (we also did engagement photos with Kelly). I would not hesitate to hire either Kelly or Kathy again!

Kelly and Kathy were an absolute delight to work with for our wedding photos. They fit right in and were so easy going with our sometimes hectic day. They guided us through all the photos we really wanted. Our photos were amazing and everyone has been raving about how many great ones there are it's impossible to choose a favorite. Kelly kept an eye on the sun and tides to make sure we got the shots in our favorite places around the reception area. It was really a great idea too to kind of disappear and spend some alone time together to take it all in, would highly suggest it! And I would highly suggest Simply K Studios, they were everything I was looking for.

I can't say enough good things about Kathy Loiselle. From moment one when I met her at the office in Wethersfield, we clicked. I knew of the company from some friend's Anne Geddes style photos they had done of their children with Simply K, and when I saw their name come up I knew that I was sold. Their photos are timeless, professional, and just what you see in bridal magazines, actually better but. Maybe like the really great ones you saw on Pinterest. I also used Kathy for a boudoir photo shoot for my new husband's wedding gift, which he loves and keeps by his bedside. I had so much fun doing it with Kathy and their studio for this is so awesome. Both Kathy and the other photographer for my wedding hustled and got EVERY photo I wanted and I can't wait to see the final product. This photography team pays for itself with every photo they take. Well worth it!

Absolutely loved my experience with Kathy and Simply K!!! We did our engagement photos with Kathy about a year out from our wedding and they came out fantastic so I was super excited to see how the wedding photos came out - they are absolutely gorgeous!!! I can't wait to order prints as Christmas gifts this year! On our wedding day Kathy took us out behind the venue for some pictures on this dirt path and they turned out absolutely gorgeous with the lighting from the sun! During the reception I didn't even notice Kathy was taking pictures and I was able to enjoy every piece of my wedding all over again when the photos were released! Kathy made us feel so comfortable and relaxed and it really shows in the finished product. Definitely recommend!

Kelly and Kathy were absolutely wonderful. They were very flexible, personable and really knew their stuff. We were fortunate enough that Kelly took a trip to our area (DC) and we were able to do our engagement photos at the monuments which we absolutely loved and came out gorgeous. It was super awkward for us at first so she really helped us to relax and act a little bit more like ourselves. We had fun with it and got beautiful results. Kelly was also incredibly helpful leading up to the wedding. I was getting a little overwhelmed with the timing and what to expect. She set aside time for me to walk me through the whole process and explain what was typical and what to expect. Kathy and Kelly took the thinking out of the process for me on the wedding day we were able to just have fun with our family and wedding party and get wonderful shots out of it. They gave great advice about the first look and dealing with family dynamics in a very professional way. The turnaround for the photos was amazing. We received them in about 2 weeks which was SO wonderful. We actually really appreciated some of the more “artsy” photos as well because it captured more of the day and the setting that we missed out on during the whirlwind of events. My husband and I as well as our family and friends are incredibly impressed with how beautifully the photos came out, I would absolutely recommend this amazing duo.

Kathy & Kelly are hands down the best at their craft! They love what they do, and they are GREAT at it! They are willing to sacrifice for the shot like no one I've ever seen! And they are so easy to work with! They make your whole experience easy and fun, and they have the best eye for perfect photos! Love them!!!

Though Kelly and Kathy were very friendly and easy to work with day-of, we felt a very large lack of communication between ourselves and them prior to our wedding. We stumbled upon Simply K Studios through our venue’s Facebook page and were excited about their photography, prices, and professional website. Our first phone call with the ladies proved to be just as we expected - they were friendly and willing to work with our budget, giving us a discount for having received an engagement photo shoot out of state. However, our line of communication was cut off there. We filled out a pre-wedding survey about a month prior to our wedding, describing the few things that we knew we wanted out of our photographs for the day. We never received a follow-up to our survey, and had much difficulty getting ahold of Kelly and Kathy the week of the wedding. Though a handful of the photographs shot during the day were breathtaking, the majority were extremely underwhelming, and we were disappointed that guests at our event had captured better shots on their iPhones. Our prep photos were focused on aspects that were neither extraordinarily special to our day, nor shots that we found to be particularly note worthy. Though our church had restrictions on photos and Kelly and Kathy did warn us afterwards that the lighting was not great, I had hoped for photos that were crisp, clear, and not blurred. Though the church itself altered the lighting, we had expected that our photos both inside the reception and at our outdoor locations would have had better lighting and focus. Overall, I was extremely unimpressed with the quality of photos and line of communication for the price that we paid for our wedding photos through Simply K Studios. We felt as though Kelly and Kathy were more focused on obtaining ‘artsy’ shots (ring photos, tiny outfit details, snap shots of the signature drinks, etc) — pictures that we neither wanted nor feel any attachment to, rather than the pictures we would want to look at years from now. We never took a photo with both sets of parents, snapshots of each individual table were not obtained, and the only picture that was taken with my grandparents was at the very end of the evening with horrible lighting and looks like a prison lineup. We were informed the day of our wedding that a ‘sneak peak’ would be posted online later that day or the next. Not only was a sneak peak not posted to Facebook directly after our wedding, but, two months later, no pictures (aside from one shot on Instagram) has made it online. Additionally, we distinctly remember photos being taken the day of the wedding that did not make it back to us. Each of these issues could have been taken care of with a more direct line of communication. Simply K did a wonderful job taking a handful of beautiful photos — we received these shots the week after our wedding as our personal ‘sneak peek.’ However, it seemed as though these were the only 20 photos out of the entire lot that were edited. Overall, the price that we paid did not match the quality that we received.

From the first meeting with Kelly, My husband and I were sold. We created a connection that immediately calmed my nerves about the photography portion of our wedding. Both my husband and I have never considered ourselves photogenic and were a bit intimidated by the thought of professional photography. We had an engagement session and had a blast- the pictures were stunning!! I could not wait to see Kelly again for our wedding! Kelly was professional and offered many different options/packages for pictures from a guest book with our engagement pictures to packages/ pricing for the wedding. We were able to pick a package that worked for us personally and our budget. Kelly is so funny and helps keep things light on such an emotional day. She also doesn't mind getting on the ground and dirty in order to capture good lighting or your best angle. For our wedding, we also had Kathy who was also wonderful and helped get photos of all the people and details for our wedding. Thank you for helping capture our dream wedding and engagement shoot!!! We will be referencing these pictures that will bring back memories of the best night of our lives forever!!! We will also be back in touch for baby pictures in the future!

Kathy and Kelly are amazing! From our first impromptu meeting at a barn in Old Wethersfield, Kathy made us feel completely comfortable. On our big day, they were very professional and receptive of our ideas. We breezed through photos with ease and had a blast! Simply K is absolutely AMAZING! My husband and I were married less than a month ago. We started with an engagement session with Kelly last summer and that was just the start to the amazing pictures! Planning Process: Where do I begin? I knew right away that Simply K Studios was the right choice for our wedding after our first meeting. Kathy is very friendly, genuine, calm and professional. She also has a passion for photography that shines through from the moment you meet her! At our first meeting, she was very clear and thorough about their style and how to work within our budget. She shared a variety of photos and portfolios so we could truly get a sense of their work, and make sure it connected with our vision of how we wanted our day captured. Throughout the entire wedding planning process, Kathy was very responsive and quick to answer any questions, big or small. Engagement Session: After learning that my “dream” engagement session would be at a national park in Maryland – she did everything in her power to make it happen… and it did. Not many people can say their photographer traveled 8 hours to take their engagement photos on a beach among wild horses. She endured over an hour of horse fly and mosquito bites and literally walked into the ocean up to her waist just to capture the perfect shot for us! Wedding Day: My heart is so full of joy each time I look at the photos from our wedding. Kathy and Kelly captured our day so beautifully. Their emphasis on capturing genuine emotion, rather than staged shots, is something that sets Simply K apart from other photographers. Their photos truly captured the story of our wedding day, and all of the emotions felt by myself and my husband, family, and our guests. Kathy and Kelly are dedicated, gracious, and highly skilled photographers and it is without hesitation that I would recommend them to anyone.

We could not have made a better choice for our photographer-- Kathy and Kelly did an incredible job with our pictures! I knew I wanted classic and timeless formal shots but I also wanted pictures that would tell the story of our day and catch all of the emotion that goes along with getting married and they were spot on with both. Kathy from Simply K is amazing! From the moment we met her, we've felt like we've known her forever! She has such a creative style and produces such amazing photos! She was able to capture the whole night, however being the photo ninja that she is, did it without being in the way! She's very professional but fun at the same time. We were married in June 2015 and we chose Simply K based on a recommendation from an acquaintance. We couldn’t be happier that we choose Simply K – Kelly and Kathy are incredible at their jobs and we will cherish their talent for the rest of our lives as we look at our photos. We had an engagement session approximately 10 months or so in advance of our wedding day. The engagement session was fantastic because it helped us get to know Kelly and Kathy, how they worked, and how they meshed with my partner and me. Luckily, for us, everything went well. Kelly and Kathy are incredibly professional, they are great with directing – especially acknowledging when some poses were awkward – but most of all, it was fun. So often, I hear of couples say how strange and uncomfortable their photo sessions were – we didn’t have that experience; rather, we had a really good time. Furthermore, the photos came out wonderfully – both Kelly and Kathy are experts, masters of their craft and our photos show that. Our wedding day was more of the same – they were incredibly professional, they got beautiful photos, and all of our guests enjoyed working with them. On a number of occasions during the wedding and afterwards, many of our guests commented on how dedicated and professional the photographers were. Once we got our photos and we got them fast – literally nineteen days after our wedding, during peak wedding season – we were again astounded by their talent. Our photos are beautiful – we couldn’t have asked for any better service or any better keepsake of our special day. We are currently building an album with Simply K. Overall, we are thrilled and would happily recommend them as photographers for any couple planning their wedding. Let me first start off the way I am with all of my vendor reviews – We had the perfect wedding day in every single way possible… that being said, Simply K Studios is exceptional. We had the pleasure of working with Kathy right from the start who is one half of the Simply K team. Kathy is the type of person you feel like you’ve known forever after only knowing her for five minutes. She’s so nice and just so passionate about what she does. Bobbi was our second photographer on the day of the wedding and she was also so fun to be around. You end up spending a lot of your day with your photographers and videographers so it was just so nice to feel like my husband and I were hanging out with genuine people. Not only are they amazing people… they are the best photographers out there. Our engagement photos with Kathy were out of this world and the photos we have seen thus far from the wedding day are gorgeous. I’m already ticking away all of the future life events that I know I will have Kathy capture for us over the coming years.

We did our engagement session and wedding photography with Kelly. She was highly professional and knowledgeable. I was so glad that we did our engagement session with her, not only did we get amazing photos, but she also made us comfortable. We were not exactly comfortable in front of the camera, especially kissing, but for the wedding we were relaxed. Kelly was easy to talk to and her work is beyond amazing. I have received nothing but great compliments on the pictures we have so far. One comment I read on previous reviews was that you didn’t even know they were there and that was one of the reasons I contacted her. If I did not see photos, I wouldn’t have even known they were there! If you are looking for great photos from professionals with great personalities, I highly recommend them.

From the moment my husband and I met with Kathy at Simply K Studios we knew exactly who we wanted to shoot our engagement and wedding pictures! Kathy took the time to explain the packages they offered as well as showed us some great samples of past weddings. We could not have been happier that we chose Simply K as our photographer! We did an engagement session prior to the weddding which was great to get to know Kathy before the big day. It was great having 2 photographers at the wedding, we were able to get some great shots of the bridesmaids and the groomsmen getting ready before the wedding which turned out to be some of my favorite pictures. They are both so friendly and fun it was easy to work with them and their excitement about photogrpahy really rubbed off on all of us, they were a pleasure to have around! They had great ideas for creative shots and had the lighting figured out perfectly so every shot came out great. After the wedding we got a USB with all of our pictures which was great to be able to print as many as we want for our family and friends. Kelly and Kathy are absolutely amazing! My wedding was over Thanksgiving weekend this year - Kelly had the luxury of receiving email after email from me from about July through November and she always responded with a timely, informative, and honest response :) I was probably a little frantic in the beginning stages, since I was getting married 4 months after getting engaged, but Kelly made me feel like I wasn't crazy, and she was able to meet me and discuss our big day right away. She really made me feel like I was important, not just another client. It was really important to me to have a good connection with my photographers, so I could feel comfortable around them, and immediately I knew that Simply K would be a great fit for us because of Kelly and Kathy's great energy. On the day of, Kelly and Kathy were a great team. They understood the image I was going for, and really, did such a good job collecting and representing the tone of the wedding in our photos. They gave good direction, have a beautiful artistic eye and they got the job done with the limited budget and time frame I had available. They were a blast to work with and we had so much fun shooting with them! And not to mention, the photos are breathtaking! My husband and I, friends and family are all BEYOND happy with how everyone came out! I highly recommend these ladies. Great job!!! PS I did a Boudoir shoot with Kelly, the morning of my wedding, before the first look. If you have ever thought of doing one, you have to!! It was an amazing experience as well! Kelly had me feel very comfortable, the photos look great, and we were able to capture a lot of fun and flirty moments with those shots!
