Georgia Born and Bred, Chef Tessa began cooking at 9 years old. After earning her degree in Culinary Management, she began her career in Restaurant Management. During her tenure as a Culinary Director, she fell in love with Wedding Caterings. The joy of bringing Fairytales to Reality.
In 2021, Tessa left her Career to focus on her passion full time. She's catered many events from Family Reunions, Weddings, Church Functions, to Baby Showers.
She believes in providing excellence, no matter the budget!

Connecting with Chef Tessa felt like a huge relief!! She was responsive, patient and kind, highly professional, and calming throughout the entire process—from researching, to planning, to providing fantastic food and service for our rehearsal dinner. Her team was prompt, courteous, friendly and professional. The food was displayed beautifully, with generous portions, and it was delicious! She offered many options and suggestions, and I was able to keep it in my budget. She brought a lot of peace and calm. I was so grateful for her kindness and professionalism!
I recommend Chef Tessa without hesitation for any catering needs!!

Simply Sated by Tessa was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding on February 1, 2025! From the moment we connected, Tessa displayed the utmost professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail. But beyond that, the food—oh, the food!—was nothing short of spectacular.
Every dish was beautifully presented, expertly prepared, and bursting with flavor. Our guests are still raving about how incredible everything tasted. The service was flawless—her staff was attentive, friendly, and kept everything running seamlessly.

While this love story is a bit unconventional, I can highly recommend Chef Tessa for any of your catering needs. She came through for our corporate event at the Tubman Museum and delivered in every way. From the flavors in her food to the smallest of details the day of, she was so responsive, thoughtful and communicative. No need to hesitate if your considering her and her team. I have a very high bar and she crossed every T and dotted every I. Highly recommend!

Excellent caterer. She went above and beyond to help us with our venue and did an amazing job at setup and minded all of the thoughtful details of greeting the married couple and setting a plate aside for us. Tessa was absolutely perfect and all of the guests loved the food. Two new engaged couples even asked for her information for their wedding ❤️ I will definitely use her for any future events that I have. Amazing 5 star service and couldn't have asked for anyone better.

Get the SOUL FOOD EGG ROLLS!!!! Whatever event you are having those are a must!!! They we my favorite part of the menu for our wedding reception!!! Everything was delicious and delightful!!!! Tessa and Simply Sated were truly a blessing to our family’s big day!!!🥰💜

All around EXCELLENCE! I am so grateful to have discovered Tessa early on in my wedding planning process. From our very first few messages, she made me feel supported, confident and limitless. She is extremely communicative, always responding quickly and clearly. She is flexible, open to tweaking the menu and adding or removing items as needed. And she is honest and professional, delivering exactly as she promised. On top of that, my guests LOVED the food. All of the dishes were well seasoned, hot and perfectly displayed. Tessa was amazing! She is outstanding Chef, who pays attention to detail, is punctual, listens to her clients needs and delivers just what you ask for. She was so easy to work with and her food was absolutely delicious. Our guest were very impressed. Tess is the absolute best caterer! We hired Tess to caterer our pre-wedding event (welcoming ceremony) and she was absolutely fantastic to work with! We provided her with the theme of the event and informed her how many guests we expected and our budget and she developed a menu that was extremely budget friendly and delicious! Our guests raved about it all night!!! We will definitely hire her again for our next event. Highly recommend!!!

I can not get over the Amazing setup and catering from Simply Sated By Tessa. When I tell you the line for food was crazy, however it was more than worth the wait. Not only was the food looking good it tasted even better. I haven’t had Mac and Cheese this good in years. I look forward to my next event and having Simply Sated By Tessa cater everything. Just wow it was an amazing experience, just thinking on the savory food has me doing a happy dance until next time.. 🤤🤤🤤
