ed to change a few things with my hair but she said “we’ll just do that day of”. The makeup aged me, it was not the look I asked for. The hair style was very basic and something I could have easily done at home, it was not bridal, not formal at all. Because I had so few options in Boerne where I was getting married I kept the vendor booked. I reached out to the salon to confirm my wedding date and had no response. I tried to call and email but the receptionist kept saying the owner would call me back but she never did. 60 days before the wedding, I didn’t hear anything so I cancelled via phone and email. After that, the owner finally called me to ask why and said she doesn’t confirm dates until 30 days out. With trying to coordinate between so many vendors, I didn’t appreciate the lack of communication and attitude from the owner and was much more satisfied with the other HAMU team I hired Kendra Kay Beauty.

The day after, I contacted the salon to let them know about the issue. I believe in supporting small businesses and allowing them to correct an error that occurs. Two days later, the manager, Brenda, talked to me and told me this was all my fault. She said I should have jumped in front of the other seven people and had the other stylist do my hair. She was unwilling to accept the photos that I wanted to send her of the style I wanted versus what I got. She told me that Boerne is the highest end beauty market it Texas, even more exclusive than Dallas and Houston. She was condescending and rude--cutting me off multiple times in our conversation.
As someone who relies heavily on reviews for service providers I would say buyer beware! When I attempted to post this review to Simply Serene's Facebook page, I was blocked (photo below). I didn't know that that could happen. In addition to posting this here, I'll also contact several of the wedding sites, the chamber of commerce and the Better Business Bureau to let them know what a crooked business this is.

p and it looked amazing! The makeup was very natural but highlighted our best features and lasted ALL night. Same thing with the hair styles. We did updoes because of the humidity and they held all night long, even with a lot of dancing. Even though the salon is in Boerne, this might be my new salon.
