Simply Serene Salon and Spa

I could not have asked for a better glam squad for our wedding day. From the makeup artist giving all the girls under eye masks, to the touch ups to ensure everyone was happy with their hair and makeup, I loved every second of sitting in the chair and knew wholeheartedly that these girls would make sure every single bridesmaid, mom, and I were taken care of. They were all so sweet and so helpful!!

I had a trial run and wedding day hair (half up/down) done by Kayla. The style turned out great and her fake eyelash application was perfect. I really appreciated that the salon would take me in on a Saturday for bride's hair only (I did not bring any bridesmaids.) Everyone at Simply Serene was really nice, and it was a relaxing experience.

The ladies at Simply Serene were wonderful! They did hair for my bridesmaids, mother, and mother-in-law, as well as my hair and makeup. The team was very professional, and tried their hardest to make our visions come to life. Would definitely recommend this salon if you are getting married in the hill country area!

I was recently in a wedding in Boerne and the bride booked Simply Serene to do the wedding party's hair and makeup. The hair stylist, Kayla, was clearly uncomfortable with my short hair and the style I wanted. Rather than telling me this, she gave me an awful updo. My hair looked frizzy and untamed. The day after, I contacted the salon to let them know about the issue. I believe in supporting small businesses and allowing them to correct an error that occurs. Two days later, the manager, Brenda, talked to me and told me this was all my fault. She said I should have jumped in front of the other seven people and had the other stylist do my hair. She was unwilling to accept the photos that I wanted to send her of the style I wanted versus what I got. She told me that Boerne is the highest end beauty market it Texas, even more exclusive than Dallas and Houston. She was condescending and rude--cutting me off multiple times in our conversation. As someone who relies heavily on reviews for service providers I would say buyer beware! When I attempted to post this review to Simply Serene's Facebook page, I was blocked (photo below). I didn't know that that could happen. In addition to posting this here, I'll also contact several of the wedding sites, the chamber of commerce and the Better Business Bureau to let them know what a crooked business this is. I never mind paying a lot for a great service, but this salon is simply not worth it.
