Joan is wonderful to work with. She is very accommodating and makes sure you get just what you want, my daughter wedding cake was beautiful and delicious. I highly recommend.
The owner Joan is such a sweet lady to work with and her Amaretto almond cake with buttercream frosting is to die for. We had no problem finishing a cake size made for 190+, with o...
nly 135 people! That’s how good it really was. Plus, my husband is not a cake person and he went back for seconds. I highly recommend. Additionally, we ordered a chocolate sheet cake as an alternate option and people loved that too. We gave her a picture of a three tier design that we wanted and she created exactly that and all for a very reasonable price.
We just got married over 2 weeks ago and the cake was absolutely perfect. Everything we asked for as far as design was amazing and the cake was absolutely delicious. Not a single c...
omplaint. I would recommend her for all occasions.
I used Simply Sweet for our wedding cake in October 2014. The owner, Joan, is an absolute professional and a delightful person. She made our cake exactly as I requested and it was...
beautiful and delicious. I have to admit, however, that I suffered quite a sticker shock on the going price of a wedding cake these days; nevertheless, I am sure the cost of my cake was well below what other vendors would have charged me. Overall, I am a happy bride and would recommend Simply Sweet to everyone without hesitation.
Great vendor! The cake was delicious and exactly what we imagined! She worked with us to make sure the cake looked and fit into our theme of our wedding. It was really important to...
us that we could be guarnteed that there would be no peanuts/soy in our cake and she was one of the only ones that could do that for us. She puts a lot into her baking and she does a great job!
she did a great job. the colors were perfect. and they were delicious and moist!!!
Joan was great to work with, and so sweet. Our cake looked and tasted great! We received rave reviews on all of the flavors, and she specially made a flavor for us. I would use her...
again and again!
And that's from someone who watches all the wedding cake shows. What I wanted for a wedding cake ended up evolving as the original plan for the wedding changed, but I had a few ver...
y set ideas. I wanted the lemon cake with raspberry filling, I wanted fondant, and I wanted the blue hydrangeas and white roses from the bouquets. Simply Sweet managed to take a few scattered ideas and images and turn it into my dream wedding cake, all the more remarkable because even I didn't know what that dream was. A month before the wedding, I brought in the invitation to see if they could incorporate some of the quilting details, and that's exactly what they did. It was so beautiful that I didn't want to cut it, but it tasted every bit as good as it looked. I've had more people comment on the cake, and I'll definitely be referring all my engaged friends to Simply Sweet!
My cake was a part of my reception package so I was a little nervous not to have a choice in who baked the cake- but it turned out very well. I provided the bakery with a sketch of...
what I wanted and they created it perfectly. Our cake was just simple white cake/buttercream frosting but it was very good. I wanted a classic cake that would appeal to most guests. Lots of people told us the cake was delicious. I enjoyed working with Simply Sweet & have no complaints!
I loved my cake and heard a lot of great things about it from guests, too. I got the white cake with the raspberry filling and it was fantastic! I highly recommend going and tastin...
g for yourself! One of the best places in the Fredericksburg area and surrounding for wedding cakes!
The only thing I wish I could have done is gotten in touch with the baker to see about having the top part sent to us later on for the year anniversary- some places do that- because we're not even going to be in the country and I have no idea how to keep this in a freezer to be preserved while in transit. I'm sure there is a way though- just havent found it yet. Still it would save a lot of room in my tiny freezer to have this sent out at a later date- closer to the anniversary date. Maybe I should contact them and ask?
I had a lot of issues with my wedding vendors, but Simply Sweet is one I cannot complain about. It looked and tasted great. The employees were always helpful and friendly to us wh...
en we dropped by the store. My leftover cake was still moist and enjoyed for 3 days after the wedding (because we ate it all, not because it was stale >_<)
