Additionally, we ordered a chocolate sheet cake as an alternate option and people loved that too. y set ideas. I wanted the lemon cake with raspberry filling, I wanted fondant, and I wanted the blue hydrangeas and white roses from the bouquets. Simply Sweet managed to take a few scattered ideas and images and turn it into my dream wedding cake, all the more remarkable because even I didn't know what that dream was. A month before the wedding, I brought in the invitation to see if they could incorporate some of the quilting details, and that's exactly what they did. It was so beautiful that I didn't want to cut it, but it tasted every bit as good as it looked. I've had more people comment on the cake, and I'll definitely be referring all my engaged friends to Simply Sweet!

The only thing I wish I could have done is gotten in touch with the baker to see about having the top part sent to us later on for the year anniversary- some places do that- because we're not even going to be in the country and I have no idea how to keep this in a freezer to be preserved while in transit. I'm sure there is a way though- just havent found it yet. Still it would save a lot of room in my tiny freezer to have this sent out at a later date- closer to the anniversary date. Maybe I should contact them and ask?
