decision in the wedding as the ceremony and reception venues were two separate locations and we were planning a Virginia Beach wedding from northern Virginia. We met with many recommended planners from different companies but knew from the moment we talked with Kimberly at Sincerely Jane Events that she was the planner for us. Kimberly was able to provide the local insight and industry knowledge we needed and helped me to feel confident in the decisions I was making (especially as someone who struggles to make decisions). Any concern or worry we had going in to a meeting with Kimberly was eliminated by the end and my mom and I would leave the meeting feeling 100% confident that we were on the right track and Kimberly had everything under control.
Leading up to and throughout the wedding weekend, I felt free from the stress of any logistics and planning because of the trust and confidence I had in Kimberly and her team. I do not like being the center of attention and Kimberly made sure to plan time in the schedule for me to reset and recharge throughout the day. My then-fiancé, now-husband, did not care too much about the overall planning of the wedding but was very concerned about the transition to/from his tux to his military uniform and back. Kimberly, being a military wife, was accommodating and understanding of his stress over it and made sure to include time for him to make the outfit changes he needed. All that to say, Kimberly handed all details, concerns, and the timeline with such attention and care throughout the planning process and wedding weekend. One of the things she said that stuck out during our initial meeting is that she sees her couples as true friends and family members and stays in touch with them long after the wedding. I am eternally grateful to Kimberly and her team can’t recommend her enough. She is the best of the best and she is now a forever friend/family member!

She connected us with great vendors and followed up everything perfectly, thus removing all stress expected on our part.

They are very professional and touch base with you on any topic. They have so much experience and can provide advice on just about any issue/everything related to the wedding planning process. what I wanted but I knew I wanted a small destination wedding with family in Virginia Beach. When I found her everything fell in place. Decided on the venue, photographer, baker and officiant within a week of meeting with Amanda. She gave great suggestions on flourals, hotels, and everything in between all while keeping us within our budget. On the day of the wedding she made me feel like a princess. ed that it is not all that simple. The tasks started piling up, stress levels increased, plus having full-time jobs and other responsibilities...everything made our wedding planning move nowhere near where we were supposed at 4 months away mark. That's where we decided to hire Sincerely Jane Events.
Working with Amanda Schwenke had been truly amazing!! She created a list of tasks, sorted and organized them by their priority, so we could complete everything in a very short period of time (only 4 months!!! usually people start planning around 12 or more months prior the wedding date...), having check points now and then evaluating progress, making decisions, budgeting, etc.
Amanda provided help with the design ideas and then created a full detailed design plan that was successfully implemented. She took care of all communication with the vendors, managed to solve all unexpected issues on a very timely manner (even during the wedding day when our shuttle busses drove to a wrong city, she resolved the issue and ensured we had transportation) with a great level of professionalism.
Due to COVID restrictions and being in different cities all the wedding preparations were done online through video and phone calls, but it didn't affect the quality of Amanda's work. The wedding was ran very smoothly and as expected, we are still truly happy with our investment to hire the wedding planner as it made our lives muuuuch easier.
I would definitely recommend hiring Sincerely Jane Events to take care of your event as they are trustworthy, professional, fun, detailed, organized, super responsive, creative people with excellent time management and problem-solving skills. The only thing that I would make you aware of is potentially the incremental additional cost of having a vendor from out of state, but then for us, personally, it was well worth it.

r wedding day turned out so seamless and smooth thanks to her! Whenever there was anything I needed help with, she was quick to resolve the issue with ease. She guided us through everything that day and covered all of details from the setup of decorations, vendor relations and transitions of wedding events, she let us focus on just enjoying our big day! Our parents and bridal party talked about how great she and her team handled everything, we couldn’t have imagined a better coordinator!
