Owner of Sincerely Something Borrowed, Nikki Brenton, has been a hairstylist for seven years, five of which have been dedicated to bridal hairstyling. My hair was perfect on our wedding day! I started with a trail with Nikki and she spent a lot of time finding the right style for me. On the day of the wedding, she did an incredible job and took time to make the last minute changes I wanted. I received so many compliments all night long!

Run, don’t walk, to hire SSB for your wedding!!!
Nikki and her team are incredibly talented professionals AND the sweetest, most thoughtful, and patient people. Truly, they made the start to my wedding day perfect.
I got married in Montauk on 10/15/23, and was worried about my beauty squad being on time if they had to travel in. Because Nikki is local to the Hamptons area, that concern was taken off my shoulders. SSB was on time (before the sunrise) and ready to go! Not to mention, they were SUPER efficient.
From the first time meeting Nikki at my trial to the big day, she made sure I felt comfortable, heard, beautiful, and calm. She made an active effort to learn my makeup and hair preferences, asking all the right questions to make sure it was exactly what I wanted. She worked with my feedback until I was 100% happy with how I looked, and encouraged me NOT to feel guilty about nitpicking or generally asking for what I wanted (so important!!). SSB made me and my entire bridal party look gorgeous. They are great at accentuating each person’s natural beauty. They also worked with one of my bridesmaids to apply her personal products because she has sensitive skin.
And that’s not all. Her team went out of their way to support me emotionally on the day. I expected the weather to be awful and was running through the rain plan in my head, when one of her artists encouraged me to peek out the window while I was getting my makeup done because there were BLUE SKIES. I was so grateful for that moment and the feeling of overwhelming relief it gave me. It was so thoughtful and kind. They also filmed a TikTok of my bridal party just for fun! I’m so grateful to have that to look back on.
I can’t recommend SSB enough. If you’re looking to be taken care of on your wedding day by talented artists who truly want you to be happy, Nikki has your back!

Nikki came on time and was incredible. She did our hair beautifully and it lasted all evening and I couldn’t be happier, she was really friendly and went above and beyond for me on my wedding day, staying over her time to ensure we knew how to take off my veil. She was really amazing with my 5 year old niece and helped do her hair which was so kind and sweet. I can’t recommend Nikki enough!

I normally do not leave reviews, but I feel compelled to do so for Nikki and her team. I am so happy with the decision to work with Sincerely Something Borrowed. They listened to everything I asked for and provided excellent suggestions based on their knowledge and experience. The whole team was incredibly kind and chill the morning of the wedding and really set an excellent tone for the whole day. Not only did everyone look even better than I could have ever imagined, but Nikki went above and beyond and even helped me button my dress and adjusted my veil as I was getting ready. Would absolutely recommend them to anyone!!

I booked Sincerely Something Borrowed for my wedding this past April, and I’m so glad I did! Sophia helped me with the booking process and was so helpful and responsive leading up to my wedding. Nikki was the lead hairstylist and was so sweet and wonderful to work with! She really went the extra mile to make sure I had everything I needed. She was so accommodating, kind, and fun to talk to as she was styling my hair. My hair turned out wonderfully and was exactly what I was looking for!
Nikki’s team, Kirsten and Sydney made sure that my bridal party looked amazing, and styled everyone expertly. My mom has several allergies, so Nikki made sure ahead of time that Sydney was able to accommodate all of my mom’s needs, and her makeup turned out beautifully! I highly recommend them to any bride!

Sincerely Something Borrowed was perfect for my wedding reception!! Nikki did my hair and makeup, and it came out amazing!! We had another makeup artist and 2 hairstylists, all who did a wonderful job. Nikki was so easy to work with and even gave me really helpful, detailed advice about hair extension application before I got them put in for the wedding. Highly recommend!!!

Best decision when it came to planning my wedding was choosing them for hair and makeup. Morning of my wedding was fun getting ready (didn't feel stressful) and loved my look. Seeing my hair and makeup so perfect reassured me how the rest of the day would go. They both lasted at least 6 hours. My sister told me I looked like what people show their vendors to recreate for them.

From communicating in different time zones, to my trial, and then day of....everything was amazing.
Being August, hot, and humid, I was worried my hair would fall or not stay for the night, but that wasn't the case at all. It looked amazing!

Hair and make up was one of the hardest vendors for me to book for my wedding. I'm not a particularly 'glam' person and wanted a relatively natural vibe with a little edge. On top of that, finding quality HMU artists at an affordable price who are easy to work with seemed few and far between. I feel so lucky to have found Nikki and Lauren. From the start, Nikki was prompt to answer my questions and worked with me tirelessly through COVID trial and wedding reschedules.
She put me so at ease. As if I didn't already love her, my HMU trial sealed the deal and got me so excited for the big day! Her team was there bright and early to take care of 10+ services on my wedding day and all of the women working had the best attitude and added an incredible energy to getting ready.
I couldn't thank SSB enough for their patience and I need to mention how gorgeous all of my ladies looked for the big day!

Nikki and her crew are amazing! My wedding was small but that did not mean that the experience was minimal. She made little girls feel at ease and they absolutely loved having their hair done. In terms of bridal hair and make up I say it was perfect. She really listens to your cues and expectations and went out of her way to make sure I had the perfect hair accessory at the very last minute.

Nikki and he crew absolutely amazed me by how efficient and amazing their work is! My bridal party and family were about 10 girls in total and they completed our looks flawlessly and even had spare time to touch up before she left. My hair was perfect and held perfectly the whole entire night!

SSB was the ultimate dream vendor!! Nikki was an absolute PLEASURE to chat with throughout the whole wedding planning process! She was SO organized and super informative, answering all my questions quickly and throughly! I searched around for make-up artists for our wedding, and spoke to a few, but after speaking to Nikki, it was a done deal! My wife and I had double the amount of faces (total of 13 people needing make-up) and Nikki was quick to give us the total cost, an outline of what everyone needed, if anyone had allergies, the style of make-up we were looking for, scheduling our make-up trial, sending updated itineraries when our wedding day timeline changed, what we could expect the morning of… just everything!! Im a very organized person, so having someone like Nikki honestly felt like I was just chatting with a close friend! Our lead make-up artist Hana, WAS A DREAM!! I'm vegan and have sensitive skin, and she was so knowledgable about what products were vegan, which ones wouldn’t irritate my skin, and she made me feel comfortable and freaking beautiful! She was an amazing addition to Nikki. And our other make-up artists on our wedding day were a joy! Seriously just felt like I was hanging out with a bunch of girlfriends, they blended into our group effortlessly! And everyone looked incredible!!! Nikki is awesome. I was elated with the results of my hair. She gave me the exact look that I wanted and it stayed in place all day! My bridal party’s hair came out just as beautiful. Nikki really listens to her clients. She improvised with certain hairstyles that could not be done due to the length or body of hair. Nikki is also patient and good with the little ones. I highly recommend Nikki for any occasion.
