What Sip & Steers Is All About
Sip & Steers is a small, family-run team based at Gravot Hill Farm in Millstadt, IL, bringing friendly farm animals to weddings throughout the St. Louis area. Imagine walking out of your ceremony and finding a shaggy Highland steer waiting with a basket of champagne for your guests.
Members Of The Family
After years as a teacher, I built our herd one animal at a time, and I've raised and trained each of them by hand. They've grown up around people, so a crowded cocktail hour feels like home to them. Our farm also honors my late husband, who loved these animals as much as I do. Your guests might meet Romeo, our Highland steer; Stoney and Rupert, our micro cows; Ralph, our spotted Mini Highpark; or Bach and Beethoven, our drink-carrying mini donkeys. Each one arrives decorated with flowers and a rustic drink basket, ready to visit with guests for an hour of photos, laughs, and drinks.
What You Can Expect
Your bar team or venue supplies the drinks, and we take care of everything else: the animals, experienced handlers, baskets, and floral details. Every animal wears a tidy waste-catching harness, and a handler is always close by, so the venue is left exactly as we found it. We talk with your planner and venue ahead of time, arrive early to get settled, and pack up when the hour is done. Choose from three packages: the Signature Experience, the Estate Steer, or the Private Reserve, and add extras like more animals, more time, or monogrammed touches in your colors.
