their positive energy, and of course, THEIR VIDEOGRAPHY SKILLS is top-notch! The moment we spoke to Neal, we had an instant bond, and I believe it played a critical part in our entire experience.
Weeks before the wedding day, Neal was in constant communication with us. He made us feel part of the entire process and always answered our questions with no refute.
Our wedding took place at the 16th Street Station in West Oakland, CA-an open, high ceiling abandoned train station. Around the area were limited chances for "visual appeal"; however, Neal scoped in and around the area the day before looking for the perfect shots.
On the day of the wedding, Six50 Productions got to the venue early to shoot videos with the drone. At the wedding site, his team recorded several shots of my groomsmen and me having fun, enjoying ourselves. One particular shot was posted on a famous rapper's Instagram page--what a cool moment! Thanks, Lil Jon & Neal, for the shoutout!
The day was a blur. Still, I clearly remember after the ceremony, my wife and I taking photos with Travis, our photographer, and Neal and just how hospitable, sincere, and professional Neal was throughout the process. Neal even radios his team member to bring us back food, knowing we had not eaten the entire day! Thanks for thinking of us, Neal!
Another moment I remember was during our grand entrance, Neal had to video us "snaking" around a bunch of tables with a narrow path. Neal handled that camera steady and made his way around that narrow path, backward! Even before making the entrance, he voiced how we were going to maneuver through the narrow pathway; he was so meticulous and professional at that moment we needed him to be!
Throughout the night, he was always there to comfort us and tell us that "he got us." It was refreshing to hear at each turn.
We have received our 1-minute Instagram video and short film, and his editing is special. He said he would bring out our fun personalities, and he did not disappoint. The result started from day 1 when he asked who we were and what we liked to do--it embodies what SIX50 stands for--genuine professionals who bring you in as family and produce rich content. nd most our plans were to have our day outside at various sites across the fields. As luck would have it, it rained the entire day and many changes were made last minute. Neal was the calming presence of the day and had this affect on everyone he interacted with. From the first exchange I had with Neal during my makeup and hair, he was a breath of fresh air. I had people calling my name left and right to do this thing, question about this other thing, give approval on this last thing, etc. etc.
Neal acted as not only our videographer but a therapist too.
The shots are cinematic, his music choices are timeless, and his ability to give people the space to be themselves is clearly evident in his footage. We are so grateful to have his videos for years to come. Of all the vendors we had during our wedding, Neal and his crew were truly irreplaceable. You just don't get this level of energy from people. If you have finicky and particular parents like mine, rest assured even they had only high praises for his work and his time with us during the big day. In fact, I think they (Neal & his team) were the highlight of the wedding for my parents 😂 Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all of your work and care to make our wedding video so incredibly special.
