We had a daytime wedding, so hair and make-up started at 6AM for 4 girls and the bride. Jillyan and Geena were there early, set up, and ready to go. Not only are both highly talented but also personable and easy to chat with. Jillyan truly listened to what each woman wanted and listened to their concerns and preferences. Jillyan made sure to keep my make-up looking very natural and not heavy or cakey. My make-up was finished by 8AM and lasted me until 11PM at night!! Geena was so creative with everyone’s hair. I showed her a few inspiration pictures and she did a beautiful job! My hair generally does not hold a curl well yet it lasted hours. Both were extremely understanding and easy-going if someone wanted a change here or there. I am so happy with Skin Bar and Paint Studio and would highly recommend their services!!!

I’m not a big hair/makeup person and they both made me feel so comfortable and relaxed. I was torn between hair up or down, so when I booked them for my bridal shower after the trial Beth suggested trying a different look to see what I liked better. Jillyan also let me try different makeup styles to see what made me feel best. I made my trial appointment because they advertised “natural glam” but I booked my wedding because they were true to their word. I felt beautiful without feeling overdone or like a totally different person. The day of, they were on time & worked fast- and we laughed all day. Their prices also can’t be beat. I gifted hair & makeup to my girls (6 bridesmaids, 2 moms, 1 aunt & 2 flower girls) and it was totally reasonable. For my wedding, there was no question of who I was going to use. As soon as the date was selected I booked Jill because I couldn't imagine anyone else helping me get ready for my big day! Jill is so easy to work with and at this point in our relationship I tell her to do whatever she wants because she is an expert and extremely talented makeup artist! Since I don’t wear a lot of makeup Jillyan helped me figure out what look would be formal for my wedding but also still look natural and not overdone which was exactly what I was looking for. On the day of we made a few changes to my makeup and it looked amazing and lasted the entire night!! My mom was really worried about her makeup and Jillyan spent so much time with her during the trial and day of to make sure my mom was comfortable and felt beautiful. On the day of the wedding Jillyan was calm, worked efficiently and had all makeup done by the time we needed to. a few ideas. I wanted a natural look and scheduled my engagement session with my photographer immediately after the trial and the pictures came out stunning! I typically don't wear a lot of makeup and while as she was putting it on it felt like she was putting on a lot, it didn't feel like it, nor did it look like it. The hair trial was the same, we played around with a few ideas and they worked with the hairpiece I had purchased flawlessly. Jillyan did 7 girls makeup the day of (including myself) in under 4 1/2 hours, which I was floored by. She was very responsive in emails and was an absolute joy to be around the day of. On your wedding day you want to surround yourself with people who are positive and helpful. listened to what I like and wanted to try out. My trial went really well and she really put you at ease with her calm demeanor. She is very talented - I didn't look overdone, but looked like I had makeup up. She just really enhanced my normal makeup routine. She used all the brands that I typically use (MAC, Bobbi Brown) and her and I collaborated on the final look we ended up going with on the big day. Also, I found that she was very competetivly priced. Hair and Makeup can be so expensive, especially in this area, but for myself and my bridesmaids it was extremely affordable and everyone was thrilled with their final look - lashes and all :-)
In total, I had 9 girls including myself get their makeup done on the big day. She arrived right on time at the hotel we were staying at and paced herself perfectly. We never felt rushed or like we were running out of time and she finished right as our photographer arrived to take pictures.

Both Jillyan and Elizabeth were so great during the trials that I knew I was in good hands the day of the wedding. She traveled to the venue to do everyone's makeup, made each girl look beautiful while still looking like themselves, includes airbrush and false eyelashes at no extra cost, and for a reasonable cost she also gave me a natural-looking spray tan a couple days before so that I wouldn't look ghostly pale in my ivory dress. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone getting married, and I wish that I had more friends in the area so that I could recommend her to more people!

The team was so professional and flexible. At the last minute, I decided to move the hair clip in my hair which required redoing part of my hair. Elizabeth said no problem and patiently fixed it so that I could have the look I wanted on my wedding day.
Jillyan, Seema and Michelle did an amazing job on the makeup. Jillyan came prior to the ceremony to do touch ups on my makeup. Not only was she willing to touch up my makeup but also all the bridesmaids as well.
Hair and makeup is usually what throws off the schedule of events during a wedding. However, this is definitely not a concern with Skin Bar and Paint. The team was great at keeping to the schedule and even finished early giving myself and my bridesmaids a few minutes to breathe before pictures.
If I ever need a hair and makeup team again, my first call will definitely be to Jillyan and her team.
