I LOVE Jillyan! She did my wedding makeup and did such a fabulous job! When I went for my makeup trial I was a little nervous because I never wear foundation or false lashes, but Jillyan made me so comfortable and reassured me we could always do more or less, but I LOVED it!! She did airbrush foundation and it literally felt like water was misting on my face, it was so light. Leading up to the wedding day, she answered any and all of my questions quickly and made me feel so relaxed as I was getting more and more panicked the closer the day got. Communication was excellent! On the day of, Jillyan did such an amazing job with all of the girls. We couldn't have been happier. Not to mention the makeup lasted ALL day. Thank you, Jillyan, for making my day even more special!

Jillyan truly made my bridal makeup dreams come true! I first met Jillyan in 2016 when she did my makeup for my sister's wedding. When I got engaged myself I knew I wanted her to do my makeup for my own wedding as well. She is such a kind hearted person and so talented. My makeup looked beautiful, but very natural, which is exactly the look I was going for. Her prices are also incredibly affordable. I can not say enough wonderful things about Jillyan and her team. 5/5 stars without a doubt!

If I could give them 100 stars I would, they are that good!!! Jillyan and Elizabeth were absolutely amazing! I couldn't have asked for a better team to be there with me and my girls on this special day. Everyone's hair and make-up was stunning! My mom is still raving about how amazing she looked! Most of all my 6 year old niece felt like a princess the whole day and it was thanks both Jillyan and Elizabeth. If 10 stars were an option, that is what I would give to Jill! I have had the pleasure of knowing Jill through her business and having her do my makeup for the last 12 years. It all started with my 8th grade dance, countless proms, weddings I was in, special occassions, my engagement party and finally my wedding day! For my wedding, there was no question of who I was going to use. As soon as the date was selected I booked Jill because I couldn't imagine anyone else helping me get ready for my big day! Jill is so easy to work with and at this point in our relationship I tell her to do whatever she wants because she is an expert and extremely talented makeup artist! I always look forward to working with Jill, not only because she is the best, but you always end up laughing and having a great time while getting ready. Jill and her team made my entire bridal party look amazing and feel confident. Her attention to detail is amazing and I'm always speechless when I get to see the finished looked. I had the pleasure of working with Jillyan on my November 16th 2019 wedding and everything from the makeup trial to the day of was great! For the trial Jillyan took the time to figure out what kind of skin I have and makeup I use. Since I don’t wear a lot of makeup Jillyan helped me figure out what look would be formal for my wedding but also still look natural and not overdone which was exactly what I was looking for. On the day of we made a few changes to my makeup and it looked amazing and lasted the entire night!! My mom was really worried about her makeup and Jillyan spent so much time with her during the trial and day of to make sure my mom was comfortable and felt beautiful. On the day of the wedding Jillyan was calm, worked efficiently and had all makeup done by the time we needed to. It makes a huge difference on the day of to surround yourself with calm, fun and efficient people and that’s exactly who Jillyan is.

Worked with Jillyan for our November 1st wedding for both hair and makeup. During the trial she was incredibly helpful in figuring out the type of look I wanted and we played with a few ideas. I wanted a natural look and scheduled my engagement session with my photographer immediately after the trial and the pictures came out stunning! I typically don't wear a lot of makeup and while as she was putting it on it felt like she was putting on a lot, it didn't feel like it, nor did it look like it. The hair trial was the same, we played around with a few ideas and they worked with the hairpiece I had purchased flawlessly. Jillyan did 7 girls makeup the day of (including myself) in under 4 1/2 hours, which I was floored by. She was very responsive in emails and was an absolute joy to be around the day of. On your wedding day you want to surround yourself with people who are positive and helpful. Jillyan takes immense pride in her work and takes the role of shaping how you look on your wedding day very seriously. Could not have been happier with the way everything turned out!!

Jillyan Scarpa, owner of Skin Bar and Paint, is the sweetest, kindest and most professional human being I have ever met. My daughter was married on May 26th, 2019 at Saint Clements Castle and Jillyan, along with her hair stylist Elizabeth, drove over 3 hours to work on the whole bridal party along with me, the Mother of the bride, grandma and Aunt Mary. They arrived at 8am and worked continuously until every member was finished. Their work is flawless, absolutely flawless. This was our first experience preparing for such a big day, but having Jill and Elizabeth in the room with us, reassuring everyone and making us all laugh, set the tone for the whole day. Not only is Jillyan talented with makeup she is the nicest person! I loved my makeup, I wanted a very natural look which she accomplished and it was perfect for me. Absolutely amazing!!!! Jillyan is incredibly talented, kind, and knowledgeable. After meeting her in person for the trial, I knew I was in great hands. Jillyan truly cares and goes above and beyond. I felt so beautiful with my wedding makeup and have gotten so many compliments. The makeup lasted all night and I still looked like a "glam" version of me. All of my bridemaids, mom, and mother in law looked great and were happy with the whole process. Due to the pricing, all of my bridesmaids were able to afford to get their makeup done for my wedding (yay!!) and the quality was above and beyond. SO many friends and family members recommended Jillyan to me when I was looking for a makeup artist for my wedding. I contacted Jillyan and was very happy to hear that she had availability on my big day! I did a trial for my engagement shoot and I immediately knew I was going to love working with her! I even had her do my makeup again for my boudoir shoot. On my wedding day Jillyan arrived before me, was sweet as always, and she made me and all my girls look amazing! Jillyan Scarpa was fabulous! She is really easy to get along with which makes you feel comfortable and puts you at ease. Her work is great! She arrived on time and did make up for 8 people with time to spare. She was even able to cover up a bridemaid's tattoo flawlessly. She also has really great pricing compared to other's that I looked into.

From the trial run to the actual day of the wedding, we had so much fun. Jillyan did our makeup and Elizabeth did our hair- all in all, it was myself, 6 bridesmaids, and my mom. They showed up on time, got everything set up, and did such a beautiful job. They took the time to ask each of us what kind of makeup we usually use, what we feel comfortable with, and made sure we were all happy with our final looks. They even stayed later to do some touch-ups before the photos. The two of them were so kind and fun and they had us all looking beautiful and exactly like the photos we showed them. I can't say enough wonderful things about them! They are both extremely professional and our makeup stayed on and perfect for the entire day! I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a makeup artist and a hair stylist for their big day- they don't get better than Jillyan! :)

Jillyan has done make up for my cousin, sister, and my wedding. She is phenomenal. She does exactly what you want and will leave time for any touch ups. She is very reasonably priced. I would absolutely recommend her for any event that you need!!

Jillyan is a wonderful, kind person - and absolutely amazing at makeup! She knows exactly how to flatter your face and listens to what you style. She did my wedding makeup, my 6 bridesmaids,and 2 mothers. We all have different styles and Jillyan made everyone look their best and really took everyone's personal style into account. I booked Jillyan Scarpa after another friend used her for a wedding back in Oct 2014. I got married 6/6/15 and my makeup was flawless! I really loved working with Jillyan. She listened to what I like and wanted to try out. My trial went really well and she really put you at ease with her calm demeanor. She is very talented - I didn't look overdone, but looked like I had makeup up. She just really enhanced my normal makeup routine. She used all the brands that I typically use (MAC, Bobbi Brown) and her and I collaborated on the final look we ended up going with on the big day. Also, I found that she was very competetivly priced. Hair and Makeup can be so expensive, especially in this area, but for myself and my bridesmaids it was extremely affordable and everyone was thrilled with their final look - lashes and all :-) In total, I had 9 girls including myself get their makeup done on the big day. She arrived right on time at the hotel we were staying at and paced herself perfectly. We never felt rushed or like we were running out of time and she finished right as our photographer arrived to take pictures. I would recommend Jillyan to anyone who is looking for an affordable but extremely talented makeup artist!

Jillyan was recommended to me by my sister's friend and boy did she deliver to be amazing! Jillyan was so wonderful to work with, it was as if we had known each other for years. During my trial Jillyan wanted to know everything about my bridal party, my mom and everything to expect the day of the wedding. We went to the salon the morning of and it was such a warm, fun environment ! Jillyan and her team have been recommended for future events of friends and family of mine. A recent friend used Skin Bar for her wedding in October after getting such a great experience at my wedding! Very happy I used them on our wedding day! :):)

Jillyan and her team are absolutely amazing. I couldn't have been happier with my experience with them. I had both hair and make up done by Jillyan and her team. We had 12 girls getting hair and make up done the morning of the wedding and the team was fantastic at their work while staying on schedule. My hair and makeup turned out exactly how I wanted. Both Jillyan and Elizabeth were so great during the trials that I knew I was in good hands the day of the wedding. They both stayed until I left for the church - and did any last minute touch ups to any of the girls if they wanted. If only I had them both with me everyday!!!! Please use them, you will not be disappointed! Not to mention Jillyan's prices are very fair for the great quality service she provides. I will use her again for any of my future make up needs!

Jillyan was absolutely incredible! Not only did she make me and my girls look and feel GORGEOUS for my wedding, she was such a pleasure to work with! She charges less than any other makeup artist I contacted in my search, is extremely easy going and friendly, and was just a delight to have with us. She traveled to the venue to do everyone's makeup, made each girl look beautiful while still looking like themselves, includes airbrush and false eyelashes at no extra cost, and for a reasonable cost she also gave me a natural-looking spray tan a couple days before so that I wouldn't look ghostly pale in my ivory dress. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone getting married, and I wish that I had more friends in the area so that I could recommend her to more people!

The sign of a great makeup artist and hairstylist is making you a more beautiful version of yourself. Someone who knows how to bring out your natural beauty. That is exactly what Jillyan, Seema, Elizabeth, Michelle and the entire team at Skin Bar and Paint Studio did for myself and my bridal party. The team was so professional and flexible. At the last minute, I decided to move the hair clip in my hair which required redoing part of my hair. Elizabeth said no problem and patiently fixed it so that I could have the look I wanted on my wedding day. Jillyan, Seema and Michelle did an amazing job on the makeup. Jillyan came prior to the ceremony to do touch ups on my makeup. Not only was she willing to touch up my makeup but also all the bridesmaids as well. Hair and makeup is usually what throws off the schedule of events during a wedding. However, this is definitely not a concern with Skin Bar and Paint. The team was great at keeping to the schedule and even finished early giving myself and my bridesmaids a few minutes to breathe before pictures. If I ever need a hair and makeup team again, my first call will definitely be to Jillyan and her team.

I first approached Jillyan for just make up and she introduced me to her hair services as well and I'm so glad. The whole team made me and my girls look flawless. The morning of was so relaxing and none of us were ever stressed for time or attention. The whole morning was well managed and fun. Plus, none of us had a hair or eyelash out of place the whole day.

I had the pleasure of having Jillyan do my makeup for my wedding, and she was amazing in every way! When I mentioned she was a referral from a friend whose wedding I was in a few years before my own, she said she'd definitely fit me into her schedule, which was so considerate of her since she is often busy doing a number of events in NYC. The morning of my wedding, she was prompt and managed to do makeup for myself, 5 bridesmaids, my mom, and mother-in-law, all in about 3 hours. The airbrush makeup she used felt soft and weightless, and yet it stayed on all day, despite my wedding taking place during a steamy July heatwave! I found Jillyan to be an absolute pleasure to work with, and would recommend her services to any bride!

I got married last month (July 2013) during the heat wave. Jillyan and her assistant arrived at my home right on schedule and did my makeup as well as six bridesmaids and my mom. The day of the wedding ran like a clock and everyone was very calm and had fun. I give Jillyan and her team the credit--we benefitted from their organization and professionalism. Every one of us looked beautiful and there were absolutely no problems with our makeup in spite of the oppressive heat. Jillyan did my makeup the day of my wedding and it looked perfect!! She also did my makeup for my engagement photos and I received so many compliments both times. I have had the experience working with Jillyan and her team - once as a bridesmaid and now reviewing as a bride, and both times, they were fabulous. As a bride, I wanted to strike a balance between looking natural but also looking like I was actually wearing makeup, and Jillyan nailed it. My bridesmaids were gorgeous, and I have never seen my mother look more beautiful. Our makeup lasted the whole entire night (and the next morning according to some!) and it looked amazing in all of our photos. In addition, Jillyan and her team were fun to work with, easy-going, and reasonably priced. Jillyan and workers are awesome! They did a great job on everyone - and everyone loved their makeup. I even had some bridesmaids who originally didn't want make up, get it done because they liked how the others turned out.

Jillyan, Jaime, and Marlo are amazing. They are so fun to chat with, and do a perfect job. Marlo and Jaime (hair stylists) were even early! They got everything done with time to spare, which was not an easy task with me (the bride), 10 bridesmaids, and 2 mothers. If you are reading this review, stop looking for make up artists/hair stylists and choose these ladies. They are a God-send.

Jill is an amazing artist, and wonderful to work with! She is VERY reasonably priced, and was skilled in a bunch of different styles, from mine (pin-up style) to more subtle and natural for the mother of the groom. I can't say enough wonderful things about her!

Let me start by saying, I did a lot of research online ahead of time for all my vendors, and Jillyan's pricing is the most competitive. And she does beautiful work! I went to her salon to do my hair and makeup trial the day of my bachelorette party. Jamie did my hair trial and it came out great! My make up also looked awesome, and I am the type of girl that rarely wears makeup. Jillyan made me look beautiful, yet natural at the same time, and really brought out my natural features. My maid of honor originally was going to get her and makeup done elsewhere, but when she saw what a great job the girls did at my trial, she decided to sign up too on the wedding day! The day of the wedding, Jamie ended up getting sick, but Jillyan sent a replacement, Marlo, and she was great! We actually changed my hair from what we did in the trial and I LOVED IT. Jillyan, Marlo, and Jamie were all sweethearts and did such a great job. I would definitely recommend them!

I was lucky enough to have Jillyan do my makeup and Marlo my hair for my wedding day. They did my bridal party as well. I highly recommend Skin Bar and Paint for all your special occasions. They are very accomodating and wonderful to work with. I never felt more beautiful. I'm not one to wear alot of makeup, usually only mascara and lipgloss. Jillyan explained how she does the airbrush and when she was done I didn't even feel like I had makeup on. I wish she could do my makeup everyday. Marlo did a fabulous job with everyones hair. They made us all look fabulous and flawless!!

Jill and Marlo are an AMAZING team!! Not only did they travel to my house the morning of the wedding, they were able to have all nine of my ladies done (both hair and makeup) not only on time, but a little early so everyone was able to relax! Overall, I am a pretty picky person when it comes to hair and makeup, HOWEVER, Jill and Marlo NAILED it!! Even though I changed my look completely since my trial! I was able to describe to them my vision and they made my dreams come true! I actually cried after looking at my hair, and that has NEVER happened before!! Jill and Marlo are AMAZING and I promise you will not be disappointed!

Jillyan was wonderful to work with and put me at ease when arranging hair for myself and bridesmaids. Marlo was my stylist and did a fantastic job and did the exact updo I was looking for. My bridesmaids were also very happy with their hair styles.

Jill was one of the best choices for my wedding on October 23, 2011. She arrived on time and started right away. She did such an awesome job with all my bridesmaids. When it was time to do my make-up I was so stressed but Jill made me feel so comfortable. She assured me that my make up will turn out beautiful. She was right! Now that I am looking at my wedding pictures, I am so happy I chose Jill to be part of my wedding. My pictures look great and I am still getting compliments on how my make up looked great! My wedding was 2 weeks ago and I had Jill do my makeup and Jamie do my hair as well as my sister and mother's and all I can say is what a fabulous job they both did. We all looked stunning and our makeup floorless. I can't thank them enough for everything.

A makeup artist traveled to the location in which the bridal party was getting ready. She set up shop and did make-up for 7 of us. The make-up was done beautifully and she was a pleasure to work with! I was really happy with how my make-up turned out. I don't usually wear much make-up and she was able to do mine in a natural looking way.

Jillyan was an absolute pleasure to work with throughout the entire planning process and the day of the wedding. She did the make-up, mostly airbrush and some traditional, for myself and 7 others. She arrived early and everyone looked beautiful. Her friendly and relaxed personality definitely makes her an asset on the wedding day! Definitely recommended!

I had my makeup done by Jillyan and my hair done with Elizabeth from Skin Bar. My makeup first- I had Jillyan airbrush my makeup. It came out FANTASTIC i looked natural not to overdone but you could tell that my makeup was done. My makeup lasted all day and night and I looked and felt great. Hair- I had my hair done by Elizabeth as well as 6 bridesmaid and the two mothers. Everyone's hair stayed great and Elizabeth did exactly what everyone asked. I had originally done a trial because my hair is very long and thinck so I wasn't sure how it would stay. The trial looked really good but wasn't me so I changed my style. Elizabeth had no problems recreating the look from the picture I showed her. Everyone's hair stayed and we all looked great. I would recommend their services if you are in need of hair and makeup.

I am not someone who ever wears a lot of makeup. I typically only wear mascara and eye liner, never foundation. I've had my makeup done in the past for friends weddings and had several makeup trials over the years and I've always washed it off immediately and ended up doing it myself. NOT WITH JILL!! She did an amazing job!! She airbrushed me and my makeup was flawless! I told her my fears about heavy makeup and not looking like myself and she did an excellent job of giving me exactly what I was looking for. I would recommend Jill to anyone that wants to look flawless and fabulous!

Jill – soooo accommodating and great to work with! I called her last minute to add not only more girls getting their hair and makeup, but a 2nd location 15 minutes away! Jill was completely calm and professional about the situation and assured me we would be covered without a single hitch. Jill and her team, one other makeup artist and a total of three hair stylists were at my house starting at 8 am until 1pm – two hours until the ceremony start time. It was completely smooth and a great way to start the day! We had 12 girls at my house and then another 3 at the second location. Everyone came out looking great and with tons of time to spare! Jill did a great range of very natural to dramatic on all the girls, depending on their preference. Her assistant did a great job as well at making everyone look gorgeous! Jaime was the lead hair stylist. I loved loved loved my hair!!! It kept the curls all night, I have super straight heavy hair that normally goes straight within an hour or two, especially when dancing. Not only did it stay curled for me, but it was SUPER humid out that day with rain and kept its form with the pics we were able to sneak in. Jaimee had two other women helping with hair, they all did an amazing job! Not one girl had the same style, it ranged from straightened to up-do’s to curls to chignons – you name it we had it! I don’t have one negative thing to say about my experience with Jill or Jaime – both were amazing during trials and the time leading up to the wedding when I changed my mind about what I wanted with hair and makeup! Great great great team to work with and sooo amazingly fair priced – they didn’t run the costs out the roof, even though it was for a wedding. Loved them!!!

Jillyan was very professional. On time, brush in hand ready to go. She took her time and did everything each girl had requested. She has such great attention to detail and always talked to me to make sure I was ok and liking what she did. I felt tremendous on my wedding day because she did such a fabulous job!
